This is number one of some winter themed poems I'm considering entering into my local contest. What do you think of them?

The wind blows ice
The dark is deep
And all the world
Just seems to sleep

But deep, far down
Somehow we stir
Somehow we know
To don our furs-

Down in our souls
Far down inside-
The winter knows
We will not hide.
