so guys, it's been a while since I've actually written a chapter. if this turns out as really good in the beginning and then terribly shitty in the end just know that I'm up at 1:00 AM running on a waffle and a sandwich with 2 1/2 hours of sleep soo...don't expect good quality. anyways, let's get into this chapter!

THIS CHAPTER IS MAINLY LUCY'S POV

Lucy stared at her phone, waiting for a reply. Her father had been distant over the past couple of months. He would spend many hours on work and not on the children living in his mansion.

Jude was overseas in America for a business conference. That week was the only time of the year they actually did things that a normal family would do.

'What business conference lasts that long?', Lucy thought.
Lucy remembered all the times that he said 'Family time is more important than business.' Apparently it wasn't too important this time. He always said nothing would ever get in the way of them being of family. These past couple of months seems as if it were a lie to Lucy.

Normally, he would've atleast called to checkup on them, but nope. Not even a single text message.

She glanced at the clock. 6:47. She sighed, she might as well go heat up the leftover pasta for dinner.

The blonde warmed up her pasta in a royal blue bowl, and went upstairs.'Maybe I'll watch a movie,' she thought to herself as she got onto her king sized bed. A couple hours later, she fell asleep and braced herself for the school day ahead.

The next came, and the blonde trudged her way to school, despite dreading going there.

"Hey Lucy," Gray said as he walked alongside her,"Is it just me, or has dad been gone for a long time?"

"Yeah, he has." She replied.
They arrived at the institution and broke apart to go to their cliques.

"Hi Lu! What's the matter today, you seem spaced out?"
Levy had come up to her and had given her a hug.

Lucy reassured her she was fine, but on the inside she wasn't. The thought of her father ditching his children on purpose for a 'business meeting' still ran around in her head. She shook it off, and went to class.

Class after class had gone by and Lucy was still upset and confused. Finally, it's was lunch time. One of the few times she got to see all her friends.

As she was walking to lunch, Natsu Dragneel had happened to come along her path. He grabbed her wrist and looked at her.

"Meet me on the rooftop 15 minutes into lunch." He whispered, and disappeared into the 'void of hungry people', aka the lunchroom.

Lucy went into the lunchroom and sat with her friends, pretending to be happy. "Hey, guys I gotta go to Mr. Monoski's class.Gotta pick up a book."

"Be safe," Erza called before she left."Make sure you come back before lunch is over if you can."

Natsu saw her come up the stairs and immediately pushed her against the wall, hidden by the entrance.

He started to kiss her, making his way into her mouth.He would've continued but something wasn't right. Their mouths were finally set free as Natsu looked at her with a concerned face.

"What's wrong, Luce?"

"I'm fine Natsu. I just didn't feel like making out today. It just seems as if you want my body instead of me. That's all." She looked down, focusing on her feet to hold back tears.

"Not it's not."

"Eh?"

"There's something else going on and you won't tell me."

"Natsu there's nothing wrong-"

"Yes there is!",he growled at her, making her shiver inside and outside.

"My father went away on a business trip and forgot all about me. I know, it sounds petty but-he's never there.Of you asked me to give you an example of a dad, I wouldn't be able to give you one. I'm afraid that he forgot all about us like he usually does I just don't even-Mmmph!"

He had silenced her with a kiss, and held her tightly to his chest and she started crying.Natsu had soothed her by saying things like"Its okay" and "I'm here for you."

Once she was done, all tear-stained and snotty nosed, she looked up,"Thank you Natsu. I really needed someone to cry on."

"Anytime Luce, anytime."

"Wait, Natsu?"

"Yes?"

"Could we possibly-kinda-sorta gettogetherandchillordosomethinglikethat?"

Her face was beet read as she looked down and twiddled her thumbs."What?"

"Could we go on another date?"

The salmon haired boy grinned his foolish toothy grin and said,"Yep! I'll pick you up at 5:30."

It was official. Lucy Heartfilia had just scored herself another date with Natsu Dragneel.

As it came to the end of their fantastic date Lucy pulled him inside her house and slammed their lips together.

"I thought you said you wanted to take things slow, Luce." He smirked as she lightly blushed."I don't think I need an excuse to kiss my boyfriend."

Natsu nearly passed out!"Wait-so we're dating?"

"I mean, not if you don't want us to. You know what, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that, heh."

Natsu pulled her back in for another kiss, this time it wasn't as nest and his hands were wrapped around her waist as hers were wrapped around his neck. Neither wanted to let go, but they had to catch air.

"Does that answer your question?" He smiled.

"Yes,"she stared back at him,"yes it does."

As Dragneel went for the door his new girlfriend stopped him."Natsu, you can stay the night if you want too. I don't mind."

"Phew! I thought you were never gonna ask!"They both giggled at his childish antics and Lucy dragged him to her room.

-TIME SKIP-SCHOOL

The new couple walked into school, hands tied together-which earned a couple stares, but they shook it off.

Levy McGarden had seen them and immediately ran to them."Oh my goodness! Are you guys a couple?!"

Lucy smiled,"Yep, we are."

"OH MY GOODNESS I HAVE TO TELL MIRAJANE SHES GONNA FREAK OUTTT!!!!!"

The blonde his her face in Natsu's warm chest to avoid even more embarrassment. And him? Well, he only chuckled.

"Lucy! We should totally go out to the mall on Saturday. We could tell her then!"

"Sorry, Levy. I'm going to America."

Natsu butt in,"We're going to America."

mwuahahahahaahaa!!! if you couldn't tell, they're going to America in the next chapter! but why?? stay tuned to find out! I know I was supposed to update last month, but I just didn't feel like it so I'm just gonna try and get another chapter or two to make up for it ..but we all know that's probably not gonna happen. I jammed my locker on the second day of school, so that's great. also, do y'all have any NaLu fanfic suggestions? I can't find any new books to read on Wattpad! Please help me lol.
