Chapter 6 : They see me rollin'
Ian and I both screamed. We were in an indescribably terrified state. The car continued to roll and the trees whacked against the car harshly. I grabbed onto Ian's hand tightly and closed my eyes.
We were going to die.
And then, as if by magic, the car abruptly halted violently, upside down. We both had blood dripping off our heads and bodies.
"Are you alright? Can you move?" Ian asked desperately, not worried about himself as he attempted to undo my seatbelt.
"I'm alright, are yo- Dad, the side of your head, it is completely covered in blood" I panicked. He seemed to smile as best he could that I called him Dad, and tried to look brave, for me.
"I'll be okay.....my main priority is to get you safely out of the car" He told me. He unbuckled my seatbelt finally and gently helped me down. I managed to open the door and jump out, quickly running to his side and pulling the door open with force. The oil of the car began to leak and a fire started on the bonnet.
"Oh god no!" I panicked as I pulled with all my might to get Ian's seatbelt off. Cars had stopped above the hill to see what had happened. "HELP!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, pulling as hard as I could. "Dad you're going to be fine I promise" I told him. People rushed down the hill, but the fire spread much faster than they ran. "F*ck!" I yelled. I pulled and pulled. Nothing was working. A few men and women ran down, and someone finally managed to snap the seatbelt. Ian fell onto the windscreen, cracking it with a few shards of glad cutting into his shoulder. He yelped in pain. "Dad!" I yelled as I pulled him out of the car. He weakly stood up, swaying from side to side.
"EVERYBODY RUN! IT'S GOING TO BLOW!!" One of the men yelled. Everyone began running away. Ian had one arm around me as I helped him as far as I could. The car was about a second to blow, and Ian grabbed me and ducked behind a tree, holding me in his arms and shielding as much of me as he could with his body. The car exploded with a force that shook the trees harshly. We were blown forward, and Ian landed on his back with me still in his arms. We both turned and watched as the car slowly burned.
"Dad?"
"Y..Yeah?"
"I love you" I told him, watching as he face slowly became drained of all colour from blood loss.
"I l..love you t..too" He told me, before his head dropped back to the bush floor that we lay on and his eyes closed.
"You're going to be find Dad, I promise" I whispered, resting my head on his chest as I heard the ambulance sirens in the distance make there way closer.

"Mr Padilla, we have done all we can for the time being, it is just a waiting game now" I heard a deep voice of assumably a doctor or nurse say to Anthony.
"Okay, thank you for all your help" Anthony responded gratefully, entering the room and sitting on a chair in between our beds. He gently took us both by the hands. "Please wake up.....I can't lose you two......I don't know what I'd do without you" He whispered, his voice beginning to crack as he got choked up. I opened my right eye to look at him, watching as he dropped his head and let the tears he had been holding in cascade freely down his currently pale cheeks. I looked at Ian. He looked to have more injuries than I did. And that was to protect me. He let me out first. He fell on the windscreen when I could have helped him. He shielded me from the blast, more worried about protecting me than what was going to happen to him. I gripped Anthony's hand and turned my head, opening both eyes. His head shot up and a look of pure happiness moulded on his face. "Hannah! You're awake! I'm so glad! Are you okay?!" He asked quickly, overwhelmed with happiness. He stood up and gently stood by my bed. I leaned up and hugged him, smiling widely. He hugged back with tears still pouring down his face. "I'm so glad you're alive, I don't know what I'd do without you....both of you" He whispered. There was a groaning noise and Ian slowly began to stir in his otherwise peaceful nap. "Ian?" Anthony asked. Ian slowly opened his eyes and turned to face us.
"Ian!" We both exclaimed happily. Anthony gave him a tight hug and I soon joined, leaning on Anthony as I stumbled over. "I'm really glad your alive" I whispered softly, hugging him as tight as I could.
"I'm glad you are too" He responded.
"I wouldn't be if it wasn't for you. Thank you Dad" I told him. He smiled brightly and his hug tightened.
"Excuse me miss, you're not meant to be out of bed" The nurse told me. I slowly walked back to my bed and sighed slightly. "Off to sleep you two" She told us firmly. I rolled over and looked across. Ian was facing me and Anthony was slowly falling asleep in the uncomfortable looking chair.
"Goodnight Dad" I whispered.
"Goodnight Hannah, sweet dreams"
