I hear people walking by, and I feel people staring, but one voice rings out. 

"Aren't you Jared? Dan and Phil's friend?" Someone asks from behind me.

I quickly pull away from Jared and back up a bit, Jared then turning around to face the girl who asked.

Oh no..

"Yeah, I am," he says, smiling.

She looks over at me before looking back at Jared.

"Who's that?" She asks.

"Someone I've known for a little while," he says, keeping it a secret that Dan and Phil are basically my legal guardians. "And as of now, my boyfriend." He says and looks down at me and smiles.

I feel a blush creep to my face and I quickly turn away.

"You're gay?" She asks, a little surprised.

"I am," he says, smiling.

"Well, I'm sure you guys are going to be a cute couple." She says, smiling. "Are Dan and Phil back at their apartment?" She asks.

"Yup," he says, continuing on a conversation with her.

"Can you tell them I said hi? Oh - and can I get a quick picture? With you both?" She asks, pulling out her phone.

"Of course!" He says and smiles as she holds up the phone in front of the three of us, and I smile a bit as well, a bit shyly seeing as I'm not used to people asking for pictures.

She taps the little white button, thanks us and leaves.

I watch as she walks away and look back at Jared.

"Get used to that. Because now that Dan introduced you to everyone? Every one of your social media accounts are going to blow up. And people are going to recognize you in public. It may not be extremely often, but it still will be pretty often." He says and wraps an arm around my shoulders.

It's hard to believe, that the boy I fell the hardest for happens to like me. And he was the first person I've kissed.

I let him walk us back to the little apartment building, where we'll be greeted with a Dan who knows exactly what had happened while we were gone, and Phil, who may be completely oblivious, but eventually will realize, one of their best friends are dating their adopted son, and also happened to be their first kiss.

He looks at girls who look at us, staring as to be either staring in disgust or staring as in a they're kinda hot type of way.

I smile a bit and think about how grateful I am to have him.

Him. The guy I could only have hoped to have. I'm dating him now. And it's an indescribable feeling.

But if I were to try, I'd say it feels like you're flying. It feels almost like a rush of adrenaline in your chest that doesn't really go away. And you have the urge to always see them, and not let them out of your sight in fear that they might disappear.

I walk into the apartment room with Jared, earning a look from Dan.

"Knew that was coming," I laugh softly before going to the living room while Jared goes to the kitchen.

"Sooo, Alex," Dan says, confronting me, making me look over quickly, my heart skipping a beat.

"Yeah?" I ask before turning again and grabbing a banana. (No dick jokes pls)

"How was the walk?" He asks, leaning on the counter and smiling, making me turn away and biting part of the banana, noticing Jared standing there after I do so, staring.

"It went well," Jared says and walks over, answering Dan's question for me.

I flash a quick smile before going to take another bite of my banana, stopping as Jared looks at me.

"You have no idea how wrong that looks," he laughs.

I roll my eyes slightly. "I do, actually. My friend used to eat bananas in front of me all the time, so," I shrug and put the banana in my mouth, biting off a section of it, and then chewing and swallowing it.

Dan laughs a bit and goes back to doing what he was doing before Jared and I came back.

Jared looks over at me, and I look over at him, arching an eyebrow in the process.

He leans in and kisses me, pressing his tongue through my lips to scoop out the remainder of the banana from inside my mouth and smiles.

"Your lips taste better." He says and turns then grabs a bag of potato chips, offering me some.

"Shut up," I say and finish off the banana before taking some chips and popping one into my mouth.

I glance over to see both Dan and Phil standing there, Dan smiling while Phil is giggling like a fangirl.

"Oh shit did you guys see -"

Dan snorts a bit, giving away his answer and making my face turn beet red straight after.

"Shit." I mutter and use the front of my sweater to hide the blush rising onto my cheeks, raging on, and showing no intent of going back down.

Jared laughs a bit and pulls me into a hug, which I take into advantage and hide my face in his shoulder.
