Jared walks in to inspect what the thud he heard was, and I smile widely then wave when he stops in the doorway, one eyebrow raised in confusion.

I laugh a bit and get back to my feet, trailing my fingers through my hair and breathing out.

"How long have you been there?" I ask, arching one of my eyebrows.

"Long enough to see you fall off the bed." He chuckles softy then makes eye contact with Dan.

"Follow me," he says and walks out of the room.

I glance at Dan and furrow my eyebrows.

He just smiles and waves for me to go, which I do, following Jared out the door and down towards a park.

"Dan told me." He says as we cross a street.

"What?" I ask, my heart jumping a beat.

I swear to god. If he told him what I think he did..

"Dan told me about your little secret. That you like me?" He says, turning so he's facing me and walking backwards.

"Oh- god dammit Dan I -"

He stops, and I'm looking into his eyes, our chests practically touching.

"He told me because we were having a conversation,"

"So is there anyone you like in particular?" Dan asks, peeling a potato, starting a new conversation.

"Yeah, heh.." I said, scruffing my hair up with my fingers slightly.

"You know who I told him it is?" He asks, raising his eyebrows slightly.

"Ry?" I ask, knowing about some girl he's been talking to.

"I'm gay." He says, taking me by surprise. I'd always thought he was more attracted to girls.

"Wha-?" I ask, my eyebrows raising slightly, forming a little crease just above the bridge of my nose.

"I'm gay." He repeats, arching one eyebrow slightly. "And you know what I said?" He asks, making me look at him as if to say what.

"Alex."

My heart jumps a beat again.

And again.

And yet again.

"And that's when dan told me."

"Well that's a nice coincidence. Alex likes you, too."

"This was while you were sleeping." He laughs softly.

"You look cute when you sleep, y'know." He says, stepping a little closer to me, so now I'm tilting my head up a bit more to look him in the eyes.

"I -" I pause for a moment, my heart jumping again. "Is this a joke?" I ask softly.

He shakes his head slightly. "No. It's not," and then his eyes flick down to my lips for half a second before looking back into my eyes.

"Here's what I'm going to do." He says, staring down at me intently. "I'm going to kiss you. And I'm expecting you to kiss me back." He says softly. "And I take it that this is your first kiss?" He asks.

I nod a bit in response.

"Then here. Let me teach you." He says then takes my hands and places them on his shoulders before placing his hands on my waist, making my heartbeat pick up.

Then he pulls me closer, our bodies pressing together, and he's leaning down slightly so our noses are against each other's.

I can feel my eyes halfway closing, and I catch myself looking at Jared's lips. The lips I've longed for, for god knows how long.

Then he tilts his chin forwards, and sparks fly. In my stomach at least. And our lips fix on each other, as if the last puzzle piece had been put in it's correct place.

My grip tightens on his shoulders slightly, every nerve in my body sending an electric shock through it.

And before you ask, yes. I did kiss him back.

He's the one to pull away, and he uses one hand to caress my cheek, running one thumb over my bottom lip.

"Alex?" He asks softly.

I look up at him with my eyes before he tilts my head up.

"Will you be my boyfriend?" He asks, and then it feels like my heart stopped for a second.

A smile forms on my face and I nod a bit. "Of course," I say, my voice much softer than usual.

He pulls me into a hug and I smile then wrap my arms around him tightly.
