Part 7
*dream*
Crystal woke up to someone banging on her door. She looked around. Orlando nor Kathleen were around her.
"D-Daddy?" Crystal called out softly. When no one responded, Crystal buried herself under the blankets.
The door slammed open and Crystal heard an angry voice snarl, "come on Crystal. You know what's good for you!"
Crystal knew exactly who it was. Ryan. She squeezed her eyes shut and held her breath. The blankets were ripped off of her and Crystal saw the disoriented face of her old guardian.
*end of dream*
"No don't touch me. Daddy help!" Crystal screamed, thrashing around. She felt gentle arms wrap around her and she began to cry even more, trying desperately to get out of the grip.
"Crystal! Crystal! it's okay. It's just me. Relax, I've got you. Shh shh. I'm right here." Crystal heard Orlando sooth. Her shaking began to stop and Crystal buried herself against him, crying hysterically.
"D-Daddy, you-u have t-t-to get m-me out o-o-of here. He's g-going to d-do it again!" Crystal sobbed, hot tears streaming down her face.
Orlando held her close and rubbed her back.
Crystal was gripping Orlando's nightshirt so tightly that her knuckles were turning white.
"Shh relax. Your not at your father's house anymore, I adopted you and I will always protect you." Orlando said, rocking her gently.
"Daddy, can you sing? It'll help me sleep." Crystal asked.
Orlando nodded and lay down with Crystal in his arms.
"There was a time
I used to look into my father's eyes.
In a happy home
I was a king, I had a golden throne.
Those days are gone,
Now the memory's on the wall.
I hear the songs
From the places where I was born.
Upon a hill across a blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak.
I still remember how it all changed.
My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."
Yeah!
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."
Yeah!
There was a time
I met a girl of a different kind.
We ruled the world,
I thought I'd never lose her out of sight.
We were so young,
I think of her now and then.
I still hear the songs
Reminding me of a friend.
Upon a hill across a blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak.
I still remember how it all changed.
My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."
Yeah!
Oh, oh, oh!
Oh, oh, oh!
See heaven's got a plan for you
[Live version repetitions:]
See heaven's got a plan for you
See heaven's got a plan for you
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."
Yeah!
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh! [3x]
Yeah"
Orlando looked down to see Crystal snuggling into his arms. Orlando pulled the blankets up to her shoulders and held her close, allowing her head to rest on his chest.
"Sleep well my child." Orlando whispered, rubbing her back.
"Love you Daddy." Crystal said softly, nuzzling against him.
"I love you to, Crystal." Orlando said.
(Okay I've run out ideas for this story so I'm going to end it here. I would like to thank piptheturtle for her help. If I get anymore ideas for this I will write a sequel, but for now I'm ending it here.)
