When Crystal woke up, Orlando was reading over a piece of paper. She touched his leg, causing him to look down.

"Dad, what are you reading?" Crystal asked, secretly knowing the answer.

Orlando sighed and pulled her into his lap.

"Crystal, we have to go to the courthouse again. New evidence made the police look deeper into the case. We need to go for you to sign the adoption papers." Orlando said

"How long was I out?" Crystal asked.

"When you first got here, you were out for a week. Any pain you have now is side affects of all the medicine they gave you. At that time, I told them what you told me. Your story sounded a lot like a case that happened a few years ago. After a bit of digging we found out that your father was the one who was responsible. After this the Jury said I could adopt you if we got your word." Orlando said.

"Then I will be your daughter?" Crystal asked, hope in her eyes.

"Yes Crystal. Then you will be my daughter." Orlando said, holding her in his arms.

"There's some clothes in the bathroom. Go get changed and we'll go to the courthouse." Orlando said, helping her off the bed.

Crystal nodded and went into the bathroom. She came out and Orlando helped her to the car. As they came to the door, Orlando stopped her. He knelt to her level and put his hand on her shoulder.

"Crystal, I never got around to telling you this but. I have a daughter named Kathleen. She's around three years older then you are." Orlando said.

Crystal nodded but looked unsure. In school she had always been harassed, causing her to become a bit of a lone wolf.

When they got to the car, Crystal saw another girl sitting in the back seat. She was wearing a white t-shirt and a black skirt. She was scrolling through her cell phone.

Crystal nervously got in the car, keeping her head down. She had learnt that the best way to avoid bullies was to not agitate them.

Kathleen looked up. Crystal immediately looked away.

"Hey sweetie. I'm not going to hurt you." Kathleen said in a gentle voice.

Crystal nodded and tried to relax. She had never had someone try to be her friend.

"So what's your favourite movie?" Kathleen asked, trying to start a conversation.

"H-Harry Potter a-and Hunger Games." Crystal said, looking up. She trembled a little, but both Orlando and Kathleen knew it was from her past.

"They are pretty good. Do you have a favourite character from Harry Potter?" Crystal asked, feeling somewhat comfortable around Kathleen.

"I do. I like Ginny Weasley." Kathleen said.

"My favourite is Luna Lovegood. What's your Hogwarts house?" Crystal asked.

"Mine is Hufflepuff. What's yours?" Kathleen asked.

"Mine is Hufflepuff to." Crystal said.

They were talking for so long, they hadn't realized that they were at the courthouse. Orlando helped Crystal out of the car and was about to take her in when Crystal stopped him.

"Daddy, can Kathleen come with us?" Crystal asked.

"Of course. May I ask why?" Orlando said, happy that Crystal felt so comfortable so soon.

"S-she makes me feel safe." Crystal said.

Orlando nodded and motioned for Kathleen to get out off the car.

Soon the three of them were in the courthouse sitting on chairs in front of a desk.

A woman pushed an official looking document and a pen toward Crystal. Crystal looked at her Orlando and Kathleen. They both gave her a gentle look.

Crystal picked up the pen and signed her name at the bottom of the sheet.

"Crystal Collier. You are now officially Crystal Luna Bloom." The woman said.

Crystal jumped into her Orlando's arms and buried her face into his chest. Orlando thanked the woman and carried Crystal back to the car. He put her in the backseat next to Kathleen and drove home.

When they got home, Orlando carried Crystal and up to the guest bedroom and lay her on the bed. He planned to decorate it for her.

Since Crystal was still recovering from the medication, Orlando left her to rest and decided that he would bring her her dinner.

Crystal woke up and looked around. She didn't recognize where she was at first but then she remembered Orlando adopting her officially.

She sighed and got up, curious what the day would bring.
