Lynn's POV

"'I thought I told you to do the laundry?!'" my dad yells at me. I hadn't done the laundry in a couple of days because I've been sick. "'I'm sorry daddy! I'll get started on it right away!'" "'That's right you'll do it right away! I'm tired of telling you to get your lazy butt off my couch and getting to work! How many times do I have to get it through your thick head?!'" my dad yelled in my face. He turned me around and yanked on my butt length hair making me nearly fall down but I caught myself before that could happen. Then before he could do anymore damage to me, the police broke the door down and arrested him. A cop came up to me and told me that I was going to the orphanage.

I woke up from the nightmare with a start sweat pouring down my face. When that happened, I was 6 years old. I'm 11 now. I looked over at the clock to see what time it was and it was 6:26am. It was time to get up anyway. I should probably introduce myself to you. My name is Lynn. Lynn Flower Pancake. I know stupid name right? I'm not changing my name though. I mean I will change my last name whenever I do get adopted and when I get married. I have been in this orphanage for five years and not once have I been adopted. As I'm finishing up, I hear my name being called. I only have one last ounce of hope that whoever is here to see me, adopts me.

Zayn's POV

We were finally getting to adopt a little girl! We meaning the lads and I. I have never been so excited as now as I've ever been before. When we got into the orphanage, a lot of girls started screaming our names but all we wanted to do was interview whoever the caretaker here was had called down and see if she was our little girl.

The girl who walked down the stairs looked as though she had no hope left in her. I took her hand and we went back to where the parents wanting to adopt took the children back there to ask them questions before they decided if they wanted to adopt them. "Hey sweetie. What's your name?" I asked. In a soft but strong voice she said "Lynn".

Before I could say something, the lads rushed in saying we should go but stopped when they saw Lynn. She looked so small and vulnerable. The lads didn't have to say anything. We asked Lynn to bring the caretaker back here so we could talk to her.

Before the caretaker got here, the lads and I talk about Lynn. "I think she is the one." said Liam. The other lads and myself nod in agreement. The caretaker came in and we told her that Lynn was the one. The caretaker nodded and asked us to sign some paperwork before we went to help our daughter pack. We all signed the paperwork. After we signed the paperwork, the caretaker led us to where our daughter stayed.

"Lynn, these boys here are going to help you pack and then afterwords, they are taking you home. They are your dads now so I expect you to behave." The caretaker said and then turned and left but not without telling us "Be careful. She is quite the handful."
