Winnie's Pov

"Wake up." I heard Ethan's voice.

"Why?" I groaned.

"Because it's 1:00 in the afternoon." he said and walked away. I took a shower and brushed my hair and teeth. I put on a white tank top, Ethan's varsity jacket, sweat pants with dance on the bum, lucky snap back, and brown uggs. I left my hair down and put on my jewelry.

"I'm going to Starbucks." I said while jogging down the steps.

"Be careful babe." Ethan said and hugged me.

"I will, I have my necklace." I said and kissed him. I started walking and saw it in view. I felt a hand go over my mouth and pulled me behind the alley. Not in, behind. They pinned me.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"We have strict orders to handle business with you." Hudson said. "Westside."

"What?" I snapped and looked at him and Cody, that's his brother, came around the corner.

"Your Eastside. You know when you get orders, you have to take them." he said.

"Leave me alone!" I spat. He punched me and threw me on the ground.

"You took our leader. Were taking yours." he spat. "You told."

"Told what?!" I asked.

"I can't say, but sorry we have to finish our job." he said. He kicked my stomach and the other one punched me. And they kept on.

"What the?!" I heard a boys voice. I saw and it was Chase and he attacked the dude. Caleb attacked the other one and Marcus was seeing if I was ok.

"Does this hurt?" he asked and touch my ribs. I winced. "I'm going to pick you up, I'm not going to lie. It's going to hurt, don't cry, it shows weakness." he picked me up bridal style and started running to my house. We got there and he knocked on the door.

"Hel-What the hell happened?!" Niall yelled.

"Westside." Marcus answered. And they laid me down on the couch.

"They jumped her?" Liam asked.

"Only two, they done it because of Kyle." he answered. "She has no broken ribs but she has bruised ones."

"How do you know?" Dad asked.

"Look at her stomach." he said. They pulled up my shirt and saw my purple and blue stomach.

"He told me he was going to take our leader since we took his." I said.

"Who was it Makayla?" Chase asked.

"It was the Handson brothers." I said.

"What?" he asked.

"Their siblings, H was the one who pinned me against the wall, C came around the corner." I said. Someone touched my stomach.

"Ah! What the hell, Liam?!" I yelled in pain.

"Marcus, Chase, promise me something." I said.

"What?" they asked.

"Don't do anything stupid, none of east side." I said.

"He hurt you Makayla!" he said.

"Marcus Porter! Promise me!" I demanded.

"I promise, Makayla." he said and hugged me.

"I promise too Makayla." Chase said.

"You know the Handson brothers are and they hated Alex." Marcus said. The Handson brothers are Hudson, Cody, and Kyle.

"Have you found out what they mean by don't tell yet?" I asked and he shook his head no. "Why are they coming back Marcus?" I asked.

"I have no idea." he said. "we have to go."

"You promised, don't break it Marcus." I said.

"You don't have worry." he said and smiled and I smiled back.

"Take care of our little sister please." he said and they ran out the door.

"I swear when I get better those boys are mine!" I said.

"They'll handle it, Winnie." Nick said.

"I'm glad they were there, I told you they care." I said.

"Let's just let you rest." Liam said. Ethan picked me up and carried me. he took me upstairs and laid me on my bed.

"Hand me some shorts babe. Please." I said and he threw me some.

"I swear, just one day can you go out without getting hurt?" he asked.

"I only hope." I said. "wait! where's the twins?"

"In their room." he said. "lay down and go to sleep." I laid down and closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

I woke and heard talking downstairs.

"Well, when she wakes up can you tell her I need to talk to her ASAP?" I heard Marcus's voice.

"Yes, I will." I heard Liam's voice and heard the door close. I looked and saw it was 7:00 at night. I took a shower and put on some white jean shorts, a white tank top, and a purple crop top that says 'thug life'. I put on my pink, white, and grey Air Jordans 1 and put my hair up and my jewelry on. I walked downstairs and walked to to the kitchen and grabbed a granola bar.

"Where do you think you're going?" Liam asked crossing his arms.

"Going to see what Marcus needed to tell me." I answered.

"Please tell me your not thinking of Westside." Nick begged.

"No, I'm not." I said.

"I'm going too." Bailey said.

"We can't watch the kids because we have a photo shoot and interview." Dad said.

"Well, the two boys can watch them." I said and we left.

"You ready?" I asked and she nodded. I called Marcus.

"Hello?"

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Meet me at Starbucks. Don't bring the kids." he said.

"Baileys coming with me." I said.

"Okay, me and Chase are waiting. Be careful." he warned.

"I will." I said and hung up.

"Let's go." I said and we ran. We finally got there and saw the two. We walked in and slid in the booth.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Somebody told Hudson that Alex was your real brother." he said.

"Do you know who?" I asked.

"No, but their pissed because of what happened." he said. "Cody's in the hospital."

"Why?" I asked.

"Someone jumped him and they think we done it. Makayla, you know the code." he said.

"But, I didn't." I said.

"I know. Just remember the code and stay near them and protect them." he said. "Like I have to protect him." he gestured towards Chase.

"I swear, every time I get past my past it comes back." I said.

"Winnie, look at me." he said sternly. He's serious because he called my first name. I looked up. "do not give up or cry, it shows weakness. Do not show fear, don't let them scare you."

"All I got to say, if they step a foot near the twins, Jayden, or Praxton, their going to have a rude awakening." I said sternly.

"Call me if they come." he said.

"I will. Bye, Marcus." I said and hugged him. "Bye Chase."

"Bye Makayla." he said.

"Let's go." I told Bailey and we ran home. "Don't tell anyone about that convo." she nodded.

"We have school tomorrow." she said. We walked inside and saw everyone was gone beside Ethan and Nick.

"Where's the kids?" I asked.

"Upstairs." Nick answered and I ran upstairs and saw them all asleep.

"What happened with Marcus?" Ethan asked.

"He warned me not to do anything about Westside." I said.

"It's already 8 and we have school tomorrow, let's go." Nick said.

"Hey, hey!" the boys said coming through the door.

"You need to go to bed, you have school tomorrow." Liam said.

"Ok, goodnight." I said and got changed and got into bed. Ethan laid down and wrapped his arm around my waist. I cuddled in his chest and fell asleep.
