A/N I'm updating! YAY!! I won't have real wi-fi until the 9th, so don't expect much from me. Sorry. :/ But! I am updating this story, cause why not!

Nate

Rose looked excited as we pulled up to my house.

"Nate, thank you so much for adopting me! This is the first time that I actually get to have a home since my pa-" Rose cut herself off, shaking her head. "I shouldn't talk about them. But thank you!"

She leaned over and proceeded to hug me.

"It's no problem, Rose. I wanted someone else in the house, other than just me. Morgan sometimes visits." I replied.

Rose smiled. "Well, have fun having a teenage daughter." she laughed before getting out.

I rolled my eyes, getting out as well. I then grabbed her bag for her and walked up the steps to the front door.

"Open it! The suspension is killing me!" Rose whined.

"Ok." I shrugged before unlocking the door and opening it.

Rose stole her bag from me and ran inside, and I shut the door behind me.

"IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!!!" I heard Rose shout from the living room.

I chuckled as I walked in. "I take it that you like it, huh kiddo?" I asked.

"Like it? This place is amazing!" she smiled.

"Well, I need to make an update vlog for the gaming channel." I sighed. "I'll show you your room and then afterwards, we can go get some pizza, ok?"

"YAY FOOD!!" Rose shouted as she followed me to the guest room, which I had turned into her room.

She immediately flopped onto the bed after putting her suitcase down.

"I'll come and get you in a bit, ok Rose?" I asked. She nodded, closing her eyes. "Are you going to take a nap?"

"Yeah... I'm tired..." she mumbled before yawning and closing her eyes.

I walked out, and went into the recording room.

I then started recording a vlog.

"Hey guys, Nate here and I have some exciting news! I adopted a girl, so I have a daughter! Before you ask, yes, she will appear in a few videos. Not much, though. Anyway, that's what ha-"

I got cut off by a scream sounding through my house.

I immediately bolted up and into Rose's room.

"Rose?" I asked, seeing as she was hugging her knees, sobbing.

I sat down next to her, and she immediately wrapped her arms around my midsection.

"I had a nightmare..." she muttered, still crying. She buried her face in my shirt.

"Shh... You're ok now..." I mumbled, turning and wrapping my arms around her smaller frame. I then started to gently pet her hair.

"Don't touch my hair, please." she mumbled, and I moved my hand.

"You want to talk about it?" I asked.

"You... Left me at the orphanage... And Mrs. Lars hadn't been arrested. You said you didn't care about me, and then just left me there." Rose sobbed into my shirt.

"Hey. I would never do that to you." I smiled softly. "Trust me, Rose. You're definitely what I needed in my life."

"Really?" Rose asked, looking up at me.

"Really." I replied, looking down at her.

A/N Sorry it was so short. It's more of a filler chapter. But it's sweet. Bonding time for Nate and Rose! ^.^ Eat chocolate, smell roses, and kill squids! I'll see you next time! *salutes*
