Sophia's point of view

I sat on my bed, my phone blaring Halsey's music and Makenna in my arms. I was playing with her hair as she read some book called 'After'.

"It's by some internet author." She told me and I nodded. "It's supposed to be like some One Direction fan-fiction and since I like the group, I want to see what's the big deal about this book."

"I don't care much for them." I told her and she told me that she knew. I continued playing with her hair and she flipped the page. "All I know is the guys toured with them a bit and that's how they got more well known."

"Yeah." She said and I smiled. She pushed her glasses up and I hummed along to the song.

It was quiet again, but I didn't mind. I loved it actually. We were just enjoying each other's company. It was like a cliche movie come to life.

"I'm sorry but I fell in love tonight..."

"You're such a jackass!" I heard someone yell over the music. "I fucking hate you Michael. I hate that I'm still so in love with you too."

"I didn't mean to fall in love tonight..."

"I didn't mean to fall for you. I didn't want to, but I did. I fell in love with you and I hate it! I hate it Michael! I hate you! You're an asshole."

"You're looking like you fell in love tonight..."

"All you do is lead me on Michael. You cuddle me and flirt with me but you don't like me the way I like you. You slept with me and told me that you loved me but then you left me all alone. You play with my feelings and you know how I feel about you. Michael, I-"

"Can we pretend that we're in love?"

I sighed as the yelling stopped and then grabbed my phone. I turned it up because it was going to start again and then continued on with playing with Makenna's hair. "Do you think that Michael likes him but is in denial?" She asked me.

"I don't know." I said honestly with a sigh. "Michael's very difficult. You can't just read him like a book." I told her and she nodded as she turned the page.

"I'm done." I said and looked and the loose fishtail braid I did on her hair. I took the hair tie off of my wrist and then tied it around the end of her hair. "It's messy." I told her.

"It's okay." She said and I nodded. She rubbed her eye and then leaned back on me. "Do you think this is weird?" She asked as she turned our music down.

"What's weird?"

"I don't know, us dating? My mum and Ashton are going out and since Calum and Michael are so close to him, they're like brothers. Then we're dating. It's like dating your cousin in a way." She said and I looked at her.

"Not really. They're not really related." I said and my heart kind of stopped. "Do you-Do you think it's weird?" I asked her.

"Not really." She said and smiled. "The thought just occurred to me and I wanted to make sure you didn't think it was weird." She told me and I nodded.

She puckered her lips a bit and I chuckled. I gave her a quite kiss and then she went back to her book, leaving the music playing quietly in the background.

"I'm hungry." I said and Makenna told me that was nice. "I think we have leftover candy from the other night. Can you move a bit so I can go get some?" I asked her and she nodded.

I got off of the bed and then stood up. I went downstairs and then into the kitchen. I opened the cabinets and began looking through them.

I saw the container of gummy bears and then I grabbed it. I opened it. When I looked inside and there was about half of them left.

I closed the cabinet and then went back up to my room. I closed the door and then crawled back into bed. I leaned against the wall and then Makenna got in between my legs again.

"I found them." I said and opened the container. I set them beside us and she chuckled as she grabbed a red one. "Who said you could have one?"

"I did." She beamed and then put the gummy in her mouth. "What are you going to do about it?" She asked and I laughed. "Spank me?"

"No, of course not." I said and she just giggled as she readjusted her glasses so she could continue reading. "I could never hurt you. Ever. In any way." I said and I saw her smile a bit.

"I love you." I said in a weird voice so it sounded like 'I lub chu'. She laughed and just patted my face.

"I know you do sweetie. I know you do." She said and I just rolled my eyes. I looked down at the book she was reading and then skimmed through the page.

"Hardin?"

"I believe it's Harry's changed name. If she used his actual name they could sue her, especially since he's being portrayed as a bad person in this." She told me and I nodded.

Some people think intelligence isn't very attractive, but they must be idiots themselves and just don't want someone smarter than them. Intelligence is so important.

"So... you're like reading a fan-fiction then?"

"Basically." She told me as she turned the page. "The beginning was so boring." She informed me and I nodded. "It didn't get that interesting until she met Harry, or Hardin."

"Hardin sounds like some rich, posh kid who gets everything handed to him on a golden platter." I said and she laughed. "Hardin, being me the keys to my Bugatti and don't forget your Rolex watch darling." I said and she just shook her head at me.

"Why do I like you?"

"I'm funny and I'm cute." I said and she looked at me. "Also, because I'm a pretty decent person and because I'm your best friend." I told her and she smiled.

"You're so much more than just a decent person and cute." She told me and I blushed. "However, you are my best friend still, even though we're dating."

"Have I ever told you how adorable I think you look in glasses?" I asked her and she blushed. "You're so cute in glasses." I told her as I pushed her bangs out of her face.

"Thanks." She said and looked back down at her book. I picked a gummy bear out of the container and then put it in my mouth.

"Hey girls?" I looked at the door at it opened and saw Luke. "I'm going to be out for a bit. Michael and Calum are in Calum's room and you know Charlotte and Ashton are out again." He told us.

"Okay." I said and nodded. "See you later Luke." He said he'd be back soon again and then he left, closing the door behind him.

"The music stopped." Makenna told me and I nodded. I grabbed my phone and then pushed shuffle on my playlist. I set it down again and she chuckled.

"You listen to such inappropriate songs." She told me and I nodded. "Don't tell my mother this, but I like this kind of music." She told me and I laughed.

"My lips are sealed." I said and she put a gummy bear in her mouth. "Besides, it's okay to like music like this." I said and she nodded.

I closed my eyes and she pressed a kiss to my cheek. I laughed and then she told me that she was done reading. I looked at her and she put a bookmark in the spot she left off at.

"What do you want to do?" I asked her and she shrugged as she set her book on my nightstand. She leaned back on me and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Want to go down to the mall?" She asked suddenly and I nodded. "Come on. Let's go ask Calum and Michael." She said and jumped up.

"Your skirt is falling." I said and she pulled it up. She smiled and then thanked me for telling her.

She flattened her skirt down and then I got out of bed. I went to Calum's room and then knocked on the door. "Calum? Michael?" I asked as I opened the door.

I looked at the two and Calum was asleep in Michael's arms. I looked at them confused and Michael just chuckled. "What do you need?" He asked me.

"Um can you drive me and Kenna to the mall?" I asked and he thought about it for awhile. He nodded and then moved slightly, causing Calum to stir and wake up.

"Mm, stop moving." He mumbled and Michael said he was going to take us to the mall. "Give her some money Mikey." He said and turned to fall asleep again and Michael nodded.

"Do you... Do I need to be with you two?" He asked me as he slipped on some flip-flops. "Or... do you want to just hang out with her?"

"Um... just us two?" I said questionably. "But if we can't that's totally okay too. I know how much you love your career and don't want to ruin it." I said to him and he chuckled.

"It's fine." He told me and threw a random flannel on. "Go get dressed. You're not leaving this house in shorts and and bra." I nodded and went to my room to get Kenna.

"Go wait downstairs with Michael. I need to change." I told her and she nodded. I closed the door behind her and then stripped the shorts off.

I went to my dresser and grabbed a pair of ripped black jean shorts and a white muscle top. I threw it on and then pulled on some red converse. Once I put my hair in a ponytail, I put a red snapback on.

I put my phone in my pocket and then went downstairs. I saw the two and they were talking about food, pizza to be exact.

"Pinapple on pizza?" Makenna asked and scrunched her face up. "Ew. That's a disgrace to pizza. You can't put fruit on pizza." She said and Michael told her it was good.

"I think it's nasty." She said and I laughed. She stood up and then tugged her shirt down a bit. "If you like it that's cool but I despise it."

"You're so weird." He said to her and I grabbed her hand. "Come on, to the car it is." He said and we walked out to the car.

"Here's some money girls. Text me when you're ready to come home okay?" We nodded and thanked him as he handed us each some money.

"We'll see you later Michael." I told him and he nodded. Me and Makenna walked away from the car and he drove away as we got inside of the building.

"Now, how about we buy you some more jeans and shorts?" I asked as I grabbed her hand. She laughed and then nodded as we went to the first store we saw.

We went inside and then I took her to the jeans area. "Who wears yellow jeans?" She asked me and I shrugged as I took my hair out of a ponytail.

"These look like something you'd wear." I told her and grabbed some light washed skinny jeans with a few rips.

"Should I try them on?" She asked me and I nodded. She looked for her size and then she dragged me to the dressing rooms. I chuckled and then she went inside one of the booths.

Soon, she came out and let me tell you something. She may not wear jeans a lot, or at all, but when she does, holy fuck does she look good.

"Do I look okay?" She asked me and I nodded quickly. "I feel so... covered and restricted." She told me and I laughed.

"You look perfect." I said and she blushed. "Go change out of them and I'll go look for some more jeans and shorts for you." She nodded and then went back inside of the bunk.

I went back to the jeans area and then looked through them all. I grabbed a few I think she'd like and then she came over to me.

"Like?" I asked asked it showed her the jeans. She nodded quickly and then asked if it was going to get anything. "I'll wait for another store that's more my type, it's okay. But for right now, let's get you some shorts aswell."

"Can I tell you something Sophia?" She asked and I hummed. "You're perfect the way you are." She said and I blushed a bit.

"As are you Kenna." I told her and then we walked around the store to find some shorts for her.

When I saw sone, I tugged her over there and looked for some she'd like and that are in her size.

"These are so short." She said as she held up a pair. "Oh... they're high waisted." She said and I laughed.

"If you like them then grab some in your size." I said and she nodded as she looked through them. When we had some more shorts for her, I looked at her. "Should we go to the cash register now?"

"No, wait, I want a leather jacket too." She said and I chuckled. I nodded amended continued she ran off to somewhere in the store.

Soon, she came back with with a leather jacket in her arms and I smiled. "Now are we done here?" I asked.

She nodded and then went to the cash register. We waited in line and then we pulled out money out at the same time. "Let me." I said but she took the money from my hand before I could hand it to her.

The lady laughed and then rung up the jeans. "You're so difficult." I huffed to her and she just smiled. I thanked the lady as she handed us the bags and Makenna her change back.

"Your money is for you." She said as we left the store. "Come on, let's go to a store that you like. We can buy you leather and varsity jackets or snapbacks." She said abd I laughed.

"I could use a few more varsity jackets and snapbacks." I said and she took me into a store.

We walked in and then she tugged me to a spot where a bunch of varsity jackets were. "Look, a black and grey one. You don't have and black and grey one." She told me.

"How would you know?" I asked and she told me that she saw my wardrobe before. I looked for one in my size and when I found it I tried it on.

"Doesn't fit the outfit, but it looks nice." She told me and I laughed. "Get it." She told me and I checked the price tag. I nodded and then went to where I saw snapbacks. I grabbed a black and maroon one and then saw a few beanies.

"Grab and few." Makenna told me and I nodded. I grabbed a few plain ones; grey, black, maroon, and then went to the cash register.

I waited in line and then Makenna gasped. "After this, can we go to Hot Topic? There's something I really want something there." She said and I nodded.

When we got to the counter the guy looked at me. "Is this for your boyfriend?" He asked as he rung up to varisty jacket.

"No, it's for me." I said and he nodded. "I don't have a boyfriend, just a really beautiful date." I said as I looked over to Makenna.

She blushed and I handed the man some money. He put the items in a bag and I thanked him as I took it from him. I smiled as Makenna held my hand and then she took me to Hot Topic.

She ran right to the necklace area and I watched as she looked. Her tiny hands reached for a few chokers and a two pack of necklaces. She also reached for a few bandana headbands and then a pack of black earrings.

We went to the counter and I pulled out my money just in case she didn't have enough. "Do you have any red hair dye?" My eyes widened and I looked at her. The lady modded and took us to a section.

"Thank you." Makenna beamed and looked through the boxes.

"Kenna, are you serious?" I asked as she grabbed a bottle. "Your mum would be beyond pissed." I said and she hesitated.

"I don't care." She said and then went to the counter. I stopped her and she looked at me. She grabbed some bracelets from beside us and I kept looking at her.

"Kenna, I'm serious. Are you sure? Your mum will be pissed and I don't want her to be mad at you." I asked and she nodded.

"I've always wanted to dye my hair Sophia. Besides, she can't make me take it out once it's done or else she'll ruin my hair." She told me and I nodded.

"Fine." I sighed and she smiled brightly. She gave me a quick kiss and then we we went to the counter. She placed the things on the counter and I pulled out my money to help pay for all of this.

"Have a nice day girls." She told us and we thanked her. We walked out and she searched through her bag.

"This is for us." She said and pulled out two things. A two pack of bracelets and a two pack of necklaces. "One for me, one for you." She said as she opened them.

She handed me a black bracelet and I laughed and I realized it read '5 Seconds of Summer'. I put it on and then she handed me a necklace. I looked at the moon shaped pendant and then read what it said, 'we dream together'.

"It's so pretty." I said as I put it on. "Thank you Kenna." I told her and she smiled, telling me it was nothing.

"Now, I have a bottle of red hair dye and undyed hair. Do you see my problem?"
