Very short chapter because it is just an add on to the last one xx

Collin's point of view

I sat at the edge of the boardwalk with Kayla, our feet dangling off of the wood. Our hands were entertwined and the soft sounds of the ocean waves in the background.

"How long until the guys' tour starts?" She asked me, breaking the calming silence. "A week now? Half a week?" She questioned.

"Yeah... half a week" I said quietly, an unsettling feeling in my stomach. I looked at her and she was looking at the water. "It's okay though, they guys' first concerts are around here so I'm not leaving immediately."

"Not the point. I won't see you for like six months." She told me and I frowned a bit. "That's the point."

"It's okay, we have Skype and everything." I said and she nodded. "I'm also sure that they'd end up flying you and your mums out to see us sometime when Luke does with Jenni. It's going to be fine." I said.

She nodded and then leaned her head on my shoulder. "At least I won't be alone." She told me and I looked at her. "I have Lewis, Justin, and this girl off of the cheer team. Her name is Lesley."

"That's nice." I said because I was actually going to be alone. The guys would be busy and I'd be stuck in a bus or hotel room with no one around.

"This is like some kind of cliché love story." She said and I laughed. "Seriously, two kids become friends and then fall for each other only to have to part in the end."

"It won't be forever though." I told her. "We still have our whole lives ahead of us, thus tour is just a small part." I said and she nodded. "We're still... kids."

"We're fourteen."

"Kids," I told her and smiled. "There's nothing wrong with it though." I told her and she nodded.

"Sometimes I feel older then I am, isn't that weird? Usually you're supposed to feel younger than you are, but I feel older." She told me as she laid back on the old, creaky boardwalk.

"We've just been through a lot," I said and copied her. "That's all. We just know more about certain things that other kids our age don't."

"That's bad?"

"That's good." I said and chuckled. "We aren't ignorant and we aren't blinded by reality." I said and looked at her.

"We also are brainwashed by idiotic trends." She told me and I agreed with her. It went silent between us but it was fine because it was comfortable.

She started humming to a song and I looked at her. "Runaways, we're the long lost children, running to the end of the world." She sang quietly.

"Everybody wants to throw us away, broken boy meets broken girl." She continued and then smiled at me. "Dance with me." She said as she stood up.

"I don't know what song this is." I told her and stood up. She grabbed my hands and then we began dancing like we had in the restaurant.

I chuckled and she continued singing the song. "We'll safety pin, the pieces of, our broken hearts back together, patching up all the holes until we feel much better." She sang and I smiled at her.

I knew Ashton and Calum were probably watching us to make sure we were okay and keeping it PG, but that didn't stop us from sharing a few kisses here and there.

She hummed and I watched as she spun around. "Only you can cure my sickness, raise ourselves to the middle finger, cause all think we're twisted." She sang and I looked at Ashton who was talking to Calum.

I hummed along once I got the beat of the song and she giggled. "I can't believe you don't know this song." She told me and I shrugged.

"Not a huge fan of music from today." I said and she nodded, telling me that was fair enough. "What is this song?" I asked her.

"It's by the guys, it's called Safety Pin and it came out while you were... in a coma." She said a bit hesitant and I nodded.

"I see." I told her and then we were standing chest to chest with our hands entertwined and pressed against us.

"You look really beautiful in the moonlight." I told her and she blushed.

"Thank you." She said and I just nodded as she gave me a quick kiss.

I kissed her back and she smiled. "Love you." She said and I chuckled.

"Love you too Kayla." I said and we pulled away. She buried her face in my neck and we swayed side to side slightly. I smiled to myself and looked down a bit.

I'm so lucky to have her in my life.
