Collin's point of view

"Knock knock." I heard someone say as I yanked my black skinny jeans up. I looked up and saw Michael. "Getting dressed?"

"Yeah." I said as I zip my jeans up. I pulled my white button-up on and then began to button it. "Help me with the tie?" I asked him and he nodded.

He grabbed it off of my bed and then put it around my neck. "I never thought that one day I'd help a fourteen year old get ready for a date." He told me as he began to fix it.

"Well, things change." I told him and he nodded, agreeing with me. He tightened it and then I looked at him.

"Can't believe you're going on a date at fourteen," he said and laughed. "I didn't get my first date until sixteen." He td me and I nodded.

"What did you do?" I asked him and he sat on my bed as I took a seat beside him. I pulled my socks on and he looked at me.

"I took her to the carnival, it was cliché but she loved carnivals." I nodded as I laced my combat boots on and he laughed. "It was... amazing. It was magical and I had fun."

"You think that this will be like that? Amazing? Magical even?" I asked him and he nodded.

"You're clearly into each other so of course I do." He told me as he helped me out my leather jacket on. I thanked him and he grabbed the comb off of my desk.

He began to fix my hair and once he had it styled in a way that he thought looked nice, he put my glasses on me. I smiled and then he tapped my chin.

"Have fun okay? Luke will drop you two off and I'll come and pick you two up." He told me and I nodded.

"You guys are the best." I said to him and he gave me a hug. "I love you guys."

"We love you to buddy, now go before you're late."

"What is this?" She asked me as we walked into a building. "Dude, what's going on?"

"Ashton doesn't know the difference between dates for a few fourteen year olds and a few twenty year olds." I said and she laughed. "This is his uncle's restraunt and he said that they're closed tonight but he can pull some strings."

"And what are those strings-"

"Sir. Madam."

Oh no.

I looked and saw a bright smiling Calum. He was dressed in a suit and he had a blue towel over his arm. Oh my god.

"I see." Kayla giggled and smiled. "Hello." She said and Calum chuckled.

"You're table." He said and I blushed in embarrassment as he led us to some table by the large windows that gave us a perfect view of the ocean. "I'll be back for your orders."

He walked away and Kayla laughed. "They're idiots." She said and I agreed. "I should have known the strings would be that they would have to be here and work here for the night." She told me and I nodded.

"You look really pretty tonight." I told her, trying to change the subject, and she blushed. "I don't know if I told you that yet or not. Blue is really your color." I told her.

"Thank you." She said and moved her bangs out of her face. "You look wonderful yourself. I love the leather." She told me and I laughed.

"Thanks, Justin helped me pick it out." I told her and she nodded. Soon, some song played from the radio and she looked at me.

"This is 'Lovesick Fool' by The Cab, I love this song." She said and I smiled. "Did you really just tell them to play my favorite songs?"

"Yes." I said and she rolled her eyes. "Michael asked and then he gave the list to Ashton who did something with it." I said and she nodded.

She sang along quietly and I watched her because she was just so... beautiful. She couldn't sing that well but god damn, I'd die if she never sang again.

"Do you think it's weird that I had Ashton and Michael come up with this all?" I asked her and she shook her head.

"No, I think it's cute that you had to go to them for an idea. Also, now I know what kind of date they'd take me on." She joked and we both laughed.

"Leaving me for my dad's best friends eh?" I asked and she looked at me. "What? Did I take it too far?" I asked her slightly panicked and worried.

"No, it's just you called Luke dad." She said and smiled smally at me. "Now that's adorable." She told me and I looked down as I blushed.

"I blush so easily around you," I told her and looked at her. "How do to make me blush so easily?" I asked her and she shrugged.

"I don't know but whatever it is, I need to keep it up because you look cute when you blush." She told me and Calum came back.

No. Go away you.

"Would you like any drinks?" He asked and I looked at Kayla, wanting her to order first. She got a water and then I just got a sweet tea.

Is it possible to get secondhand embarrassment just by someone standing beside you? I think I have it but I don't know. All I know is that I don't like that Calum is here and possibly one, or all, of the boys aswell.

"And to eat? The chef's specialties are spaghetti and macaroni and cheese."

"Doesn't matter." Kayla said and I agreed. Calum nodded and said he'll be right back. "I bet it's like Michael behind the stove."

"I think it's Ashton." I said and she looked at me. "I bet it's Ashton. I think he's the one who cooks at the house."

"Winner gets a kiss?"

"Then I have no problem with being right or wrong." I said and smiled. She rolled her eyes and then looked out the window. "It's beautiful huh?" I asked her, but I wasn't staring out of the window.

"It is. The setting sun looks so beautiful in the horizon and the colors in the sky are breathtaking. The water is calm and it all mixes into a perfect scene." She said and I laughed lightly.

"You're so poetic," I said and she looked at me. "And I think you're more breathtaking than the sunset." I told her and she blushed.

"You're the poetic on." She said and I just shrugged. "Besides, the really cheesy and cliché lines add up to that poet status."

"Oh, you want me to be a poet?" I said and cleared my throat as she laughed. "Roses aren't green, violets are actually purple, you're my favorite human bean, I think you're cooler than Steve Urkle."

It was silent and then all of a sudden, she bursted out laughing. I laughed with her and she clapped her hands a bit. She covered her mouth with her hand and I just shook my head.

"I'm-I'm so done." She said and stood up. I pouted and she tugged the blue dress down. "That was so terrible that I had to laugh." She told me and I nodded as she sat down.

"I can be more romantic." I said and she hummed. "Roses are red, violets are blue, the whole world ceases to exist, when I'm beside you." I said and she smiled.

"Aww, Collin, where'd you get that from? Tumblr?" She asked and I gasped as she laughed. I pouted and she just laughed.

"That hurts, I worked hard on that poem." I said and she looked at me, asking if I wanted a kiss to make it better. "Yes please."

We leaned forward and then she pressed her lips agaisnt mine. I smiled and she chuckled lightly. "You're such a dork." She told me and I nodded.

"I'm your dork though." I told her and she nodded. "And you're mine."

"Sounds pretty good." She said and I heard a throat clear. We pulled away and Calum was here with two cups. He set them by us and gave me a look.

Fuck off Hood.

"Your food will be here shortly." He said and we nodded. I looked at Kayla and she smiled at me as Calum walked off.

"Busted." She said and I chuckled. "I love this song too." She said and I nodded. "This is my second favorite song."

"And it feels like tonight, I can't believe I'm broken inside..."

"Yeah?" I asked her and she nodded. I smiled to myself as she took a drink of her water and then hummed.

I know what song I'm learning on the keyboard next.

"Do you want to dance?" I asked her and she nodded. I stood up and then grabbed her hand.

There was space open due to all the table being pushed to the sides, so I spun Kayla around laughing with her as she twirled around.

I smiled and slid over to her, grabbing her hand and looking at her. "I don't know what I'm doing." I told her and she laughed with me, agreeing.

She hummed along to the song and I smiled. I sang along to it and she looked at me as we tried dancing like those couples in the movies, all graceful and shit.

"I've never heard you actually sing." She told me and I blushed a bit. "You sing nicely." She said and I thanked her.

When the song was over, we sat back down and then laughed. "You can check 'dance like some cliche romantic couple' off of my bucket list." She told me and I chuckled.

"Glad to have helped." I said and she just rolled her eyes. "I can check 'having the most perfect girl as my girlfriend' off of my bucket list."

"You're so cheesy, please stop." She said and we both laughed. I nodded and a Calum came back with two plates. He out them in front of us and I thabked him.

"No problem little man, I mean sir. Fuck Ashton's gonna kill me. Oh, shit, right uh if you need anything, just call me." He said and walked away.

"I knew it was Ashton." I said and looked at Kayla. "Pay up." I said and she laughed. She leaned forward and then gave me a quick kiss on the lips.

"There." She said and I smiled. "I hope it tastes as good as it looks." She said and I laughed while agreed.

We took a bite of our food and she nodded. "This isn't bad, remind me to thank him he next time I see him." She said and I nodded.

"Can I just say, I really love your hair. It looked nice before, but black just looks really nice on you." I said and she blushed.

"Thank you." She told me and smiled. "I was thinking of putting colored streaks in it, maybe like a blue or pink." She said and I nodded.

"It'll look amazing." I said and she thanked me. "Pink would go so nicely." I told her and she said that she would do pink then.

"You should dye your hair." She told me and I laughed. "Do it green."

"Not happening love."

"Why?"

"Hair dye is you and Michael's thing, not mine." I told her and she huffed.

"Fine."
