Chapter 90 - Daddy/Daughter Day
Sunday morning, I woke up to Lin sitting on my bed. Sunday was the only day of our weekends that matched up, so I wasn't surprised that he was waking me up.
"Happy Sunday Niñita." He said, as I sat up in bed.
"Happy Sunday. Do you always watch me when I sleep?" I asked referring to him sitting on my bed when I woke up.
"No, I was going to wake you up, but, well, you flinch in your sleep, you like twitch, it's adorable." He admitted.
"I 'twitch' in my sleep?" I asked, laughing a little.
"Yep." He replied, "anyways, it's the weekend, I was wondering if you wanted to do something today?" He offered.
"Like what?" I asked.
"I don't know, like watch a movie, go somewhere, anything really."
"Sure." I said, smiling a little at the suggestion.
"Awesome." He stood up from my bed, and grabbed both of my hands, and started pulling me up. "Come on, get up, get up." He said and I laughed.
"I'm tired." I whined.
"Do I have to carry you like yesterday?" He asked, and before I could respond he picked me up by the waist and slung me over his shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll grab your slippers." He reassured, but that was not what I was worried about. He bent down next to my bed and grabbed my puppy dog slippers.
"Why are you so set on carrying me recently?" I asked, as he walked into the living room.
"I don't know, it's just funny to see you get carried." He said, putting me down on the couch.
"But you're not even watching!" I said, indignantly.
"Yes, but this is funny." He said, laughing. "I'll be right back." He said, walking back into the kitchen. "Pick a flavor!" He yelled back to me after about 30 seconds.
"Flavor of what?" I replied.
"Parcha, China, Cherry, Strawberry." He rattled off, and I rolled my eyes.
"Lin?" I yelled, "are you referencing yourself in a musical you wrote?" I asked.
"Yes." His response was delayed like 10 seconds. "And by the way, I'm taking your sarcasm as Cherry." He was walking back into the living room with a cherry soda and a parcha soda.
"Any specific reason?" I asked.
"Nope." He said handing me the drink.
"Thanks." I replied, taking it. "So what exactly are we doing?" I asked, slipping my puppy dog slippers on because my feet were cold.
"We could watch a movie, play board games, play random games, sing, play video games." He rattled off a list of options.
"Can we heckle the Percy Jackson movie?" I asked, excited.
"Always." He laughed, and got up, going over to the TV. He fumbled with a disk holder for a second before putting a disc in the DVD players and sitting back down.
"You own the Percy Jackson movie?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yep." He said, fumbling for the remote, "I live to heckle."
"So do I, so do I." I replied, and the movie started. Honestly, the only reason that people watch this is to make fun of it, I'm not an exception.
"Ok. So, who is he?" Lin asked pointing at Percy.
"That's Percy Jackson. The main character." I replied giggling.
"No. The 16 year old." He restated.
"Yeah, that's Percy."
"Oh, I didn't get that because Percy Jackson was 12 Mr. Director Man!" He was yelling at the TV.
"Ok, so, hear me out." I said, about halfway through the movie.
"Yeah."
"I feel like, if these movies stood on their own, separate from the books, they would be decent-ish."
"I mean, the acting wasn't great, but, I can see where you're coming from." He allowed.
"Yeah, I mean, I'm not saying they would win Best Motion Picture, I'm just saying that they would be heckled continuously."
"Yeah. I get that. WHAT THE CRAP ARE THE PEARLS DOING HERE?" He yelled at the Tv again.
"Weren't they in another book, like, way later?" I asked.
"Yes, I'm just saying, NONE OF THIS HAPPENED IN THE BOOK." I didn't know Lin was this passionate while watching movies.

The movie ended a little while later, and it was 12:30 when it did.
"Come on." Lin stood up from the couch, "we're going to get lunch." He smiled.
"I take it that requires clothes." I deducted sluggishly walking back to my room.
"It requires sweats, don't worry about it." He called after me, and I changed into sweats, keeping my Oregon State Beavers t-shirt on. This shirt is one of the few things I still have from when I lived in Oregon, I bought a large by mistake when I was 12, and I loved it, because it was so big and soft. Also, now that I lived in New York, I liked having an Oregon State shirt, rather than a U of O Ducks t-shirt, I was a beaver all the way, regardless of what state I lived in. I came back out of my room wearing Uggs, black sweats and my Beavers shirt tied with a hairband.
"See, those barely even count as clothes." He said, grabbing his wallet and keys.
"I guess you're right." I admitted, and followed him out of the apartment.

We got to a pizza place near the Rodgers, and upon arrival Lin greeted the owner excitedly.
"EY yo!" I swear, Lin is the most hysterical person to walk around town with. He ordered a 'grandma slice' for me, and I immediately felt a little uncomfortable. I looked at the ground at my feet. Eventually Lin handed me a plate with the pizza on it.
"Thanks." I smiled, and he thanked the owner, and the 2 of us left.
"Quick, get to the car before they notice we're here!" I heard Lin whisper to me.
"Who?" I asked, following him.
"The cast, the people who crowd the stage door as we're going in. They can't know we're here, because I do not plan on going on for the matinée." Just as he said that, I heard someone yell.
"IT'S LIN!" He yelled and pointed.
"RUN FOR IT NIÑITA!" I heard Lin yell, after waving to the crowd of people. I didn't have to be told twice, I sprinted down to the car, and stood there waiting for Lin, who finally got there. "I hope people don't take this the wrong way, but, being yelled at on the street is low-key terrifying, I mean, I'm human." He didn't start the car, he just sat there with his pizza.
"Are we just going to wait here?" I asked.
"Yep, until we finish lunch. That way I don't drive while eating. I can barely drive while driving."
"Ok." I smiled, and took a bite of my pizza, which admittedly was delicious. It was also huge. "Why did you get me such a huge slice of pizza?" I asked.
"Because you deserved a big slice of pizza." He said smiling. Howe sat there eating our pizza happily until we heard a banging on the door to the car. There was a fully grown man there. "Stay here." He said to me, because I needed to be told. Lin got out of the car and signed something for the guy, then hopped back in the car with me. "We should go, before more people show up."
