I have to propose to Taylor today.

Lily

I groaned as Dan woke me up while having a good dream. "Dan..."

"Lily, I need help," he said.

"With what?"

He fumbled for something in his pocket, soon pulling out a ring box. "Can you guess?"

I gasped. "You're proposing."

He nodded. "Yep."

I smiled. "That's awesome! I can totally help you with that."

"Thank you, Lily."

"No problem. Anything for my OTP!"

He chuckled. "You crazy fangirl."

I beamed. "I'm proud to be your crazy fangirl."

"What would I do if you weren't my adoptive daughter?"

"Did Taylor agree to a night out?" I asked Dan as he came downstairs with his phone in his hand.

"Yep," he replied.

"Wait, what's going on?" Phil asked as he came out of the kitchen.

"I'm proposing to Taylor later tonight."

"Awesome. Let me know how that goes."

I chuckled. "Phil, we're all gonna know how it goes."

He shot me a confused look. "What do you mean?"

Dan placed a hand on Phil's shoulder. "Lily's arranging a reservation at a nice restaurant for all of us. Phil, you're gonna be there."

"Oh!"

I rolled my eyes. "Oh, Phil."

"What's this about a nice restaurant?" Emma asked as she came downstairs, obviously just woken up.

"Dan's proposing to Taylor today," Phil told her as he kissed her.

"Cool."

"Hey, Lily," Dan said, "did you get a reservation arranged anyways?"

"Still looking," I replied as I stared at my laptop screen.

He sighed. "I just want everything to be perfect."

I looked up from my computer screen. "Hey, Dil's proposal didn't go perfectly, but it worked."

He chuckled. "That's true."

"Have you selected your outfit for this evening?"

He looked down. "No."

I sighed.

I hope everything works out.

Dan

I sighed as I looked at myself in the mirror. I had decided to wear a simple tux that I found in my closet. Well, Phil had actually found it. I was the one that decided to wear it.

"Dan, come on!" Phil yelled. "We gotta go!"

I sighed.

Let's do this.

Lily

"Got the camera ready?" Phil asked me.

I held it up. "Yep."

"Is Dan ready yet?" Emma asked as she came out of the bathroom.

Just then, Dan came downstairs in a snazzy tux. "I'm ready."

"You sure about this?" Phil asked.

"I'm sure. Now, let's do this."

I wish Eliza was here to see this.

Time Skip

When we got to the restaurant (and we had picked up Taylor), we got out. When we mentioned our reservation, the hostess led us to a big outside table. We were sat down and asked about drinks. When the hostess left, we starting talking.

"So, why the nice dinner out?" Taylor asked.

"Just because," Dan replied.

I mentally facepalmed.

"I feel like something's up."

"What, I can't treat you to a nice dinner?"

"I'm not saying that..."

When Dan started to look mad, Phil shot him a look, causing Dan to excuse himself to go to the bathroom.

'Close call,' I mouthed to Phil.

'I know,' he mouthed back.

"Hey, Taylor, are you going to release anymore albums?" Emma asked.

"Just one more," she replied. "I'm going away from music after, though. I don't even plan on a tour for that album."

"Only one?" I asked.

"Yeah. I don't like music as much. Oh, and quick question: would you guys and Dan be willing to be in some of the songs?"

"Of course!" Emma squealed.

Dan came back to the table. "What's going on?"

"Nothing," Taylor replied.

It's time.

Lily

As we finished eating dessert, I saw Dan preparing somewhat. I fumbled in my bag for the camera, finding it quickly and setting it in my lap. I noticed Phil give Dan a signal. He stood up and got Taylor to stand in front of him. I got in an ideal position to record and started recording just before Dan started talking.

"Taylor, I feel like we've known each other forever," he began. "I love you so much. There's no one else I'd want to spend the rest of my life with besides you. You're my goddess." Taylor started tearing up. "The concert was the best thing that's ever happened because I met you. I don't care how many people ship Phan versus how many ship Daylor. I want you and only you. Taylor," he got down on one knee, "will you marry me?"

She gasped. "Yes. Yes, I will, Dan."

Dan slid the ring on her finger, stood up, and kissed her.

I shrieked. "DAYLOR!"

Dan pulled away and shot me a fake glare.

I laughed. "You know it's true, real, and forever."

He smiled. "True."
