!~ four ~!

The rest of my day was rather boring. Of course, nothing could compare to my adoption meeting, so I didn't actually expect that much excitement afterwards. No one bothered me afterwards. Thank God. If they went anywhere near me, I'd probably punch them in the face. It'd be my last chance to do it if I got adopted. If the opportunity was given, I'd take it.

Instead of staying up all night like normal, I actually went to bed at a reasonable time. Seems that Christian had taken all of the energy out of me. Or I was just really, really tired. Probably the latter. Last night, I didn't even sleep, so I was bound to pass out eventually. That just so happened to be the time.

Gotta admit, I really wouldn't miss that hellhole at all. The chipping paint on the walls and rusty floorboards wouldn't do much. Also, all of the fighting was rather annoying after a while. Not like I wasn't used to it. My parents argued too. They always argued. Their arguing literally killed them. These kids would probably do the same. Orphanages were supposed to be good for orphans. Took them off the streets and such. But this place wasn't good for anyone! I'm pretty sure it just made people worse. Of course, I couldn't change it.

So, as normal, I was reading. I had finished the book by then. Spoiler alert: Everyone died. Even the main characters. Honestly, one of the better endings. There was this one fanfiction I read where the main character turned into a fish. The fish then proceeded to eat their entire family. Great finish, huh? You get attached to each character, and they're killed by the one you're supposed to love the most. It was honestly kind of expected. A fish curse was going around the entire book. Had to come sooner or later.

Anyway, I was rereading Obsession With Thee, enjoying my solitude. Yet the privacy didn't last very long. Yet again, Donna came in. But she had much better news this time. News that would most likely change my life forever. At first, I was rather scared of what she told me, but now, I'm glad it happened. I probably wouldn't have lasted if it didn't. Still, that doesn't matter right now. You should actually hear what it is before judging anything.

"Mister Borle is here!" She told me, looking as excited as a child on Christmas.

"Why?" I asked innocently. Of course, I wasn't innocent at all, but I probably should've known why he was truly there. There wasn't any reason why she'd tell me he was here for someone else. "For a visit?"

She chuckled. "Oh, heavens no!"

"He's here to adopt you!"

an: sorry this chapter is so short! i just wanted to make sure i posted SOMETHING today. yet again, thanks for reading, and tell me if you have any ideas in the comments!
