Chapter 14

Emily's point of view

"Look what the cat dragged out from hell." Michael said, smirking slight as he saw me, not letting the little fued between us go.

"I just woke up, please go be a bitch to someone else." I said and he rose an eyebrow at me.

"I see a hickey."

"I see a rat."

"Ouch, was that supposed to hurt my feelings?" He asked and I shrugged. "You should really cover up that hickey."

"After you cover up your bald spots." I said and he gasped, clearly offended by that comment as I sat on the couch, my eyes closing.

"I'm not joking, if Ashton sees that he'll flip."

"Let him, excersize is great." I mumbled and he huffed. "Mm, touch me again and I'll shove my foot up your ass."

"I'm trying to save your ass here." He said and moved the black blanket over me. "Who even gave it to you?"

"That's none of your concern." I said and looked at him. He rolled his eyes and he ran a hand through his hair. "How noticeable is it?"

"If Ashton punched Luke in the jaw."

"Ouch," I said and covered my neck with my hand. "Are you serious or are you fucking with me?" I asked him.

"I'm serious here." He told me and I nodded. "So, what happened when you went to the mall? Isn't she taken?"

"It wasn't her." I said and his jaw dropped. "She left early and some other girl hung out with me. She was fine."

"That's not a word you use whilst describing women."

"Mhm."

"Do you just let anyone suck on your neck and bite on it?" He asked me and I glared at him.

"I'm not a fucking hoe Michael." I said and he raised his hands up in defense. "It's none of your concern."

"I'm looking out for you because you don't just let anyone leave hickies on you." He said and I rolled my eyes. "You need to slow down."

"You need to butt out of my shit homeboy." I said and he laughed. "It's my life, don't tell me how to live it. I bet you were getting hickies at fourteen and probably screwing around by fifteen."

"Maybe I did but that doesn't mean it's okay." Michael said and I just hummed, ignoring him. "Go put make-up on that." He told me and I shook my head.

"Make me." I said and he shrugged his shoulders. "Is there a reason I saw Melissa asleep in you bed?"

"Lindsay had a family emergency, and I do not trust Melissa alone." He said simply. "I let her sleep in my bed, I fell asleep on the couch."

"Sweet." I commented and he just shrugged. "I'm bored."

"You weren't the other day-"

"Oh shut up." I snapped and he laughed. "I'm going back to my room, you're so irritating. I'm so close to punching you in the nose." I said and then stood up.

I tossed the blanket on the couch and went upstairs. "Sorry," I apologized as I bumped into Melissa.

I went to my room and then closed the door, looking in the mirror and checking out the hickey.

Well... that's not small...

I huffed and went to my bathroom. I quickly covered the damn thing up with some waterproof makeup and then I put my hair into a ponytail.

I left the bathroom and then pulled a hoodie on, feeling very lazy since it was a Saturday. I jumped into my bed and then closed my eyes.

"Go away Michael, I hate you." I grumbled as I heard the door open.

"C-Can I borrow some clothes?" I heard Melissa ask and I hummed. "Please?" She asked softly, a tone I've never heard her use with me before.

"Borrow whatever." I said and I heard my dresser open. It closed and then my closet slid open, before closing aswell.

She left the room quietly and I yawned as I kept my eyes closed. I pulled a blanket over me and the door opened again.

"I wanna sleep." I complained and it was Michael who laughed. "Go away dickwad."

"Ouch," he said and sat down by my bed. "Want some pizza? Ashton wouldn't approve of pizza for breakfast but who cares what he wants? He's asleep."

"I want sleep, that's what I want, now leave."

"No pizza then?" He asked me and I shook my head. "Are you sure?" He asked and I nodded.

"Leave me alone. I want to go back to sleep for a bit." I said and he nodded as he patted my leg.

"Suit yourself." He said and then my door was closing. I sighed in relief and hugged myself since I had no one else to hug and cuddle with.

-

"Morning." I mumbled as I walked downstairs, unable to sleep since Calum was screaming with Michael and Ashton was yelling at them. Luke was just on his phone, super quiet and not even giving a glance to his band mates.

I like him. He's my favorite.

I sat beside him and he looked at me. "Morning sleeping beauty," he said nonchantly and I snorted. "That doesn't sound like something a princess would do."

"Of course you'd know." I said and he chuckled. "Where did Melissa go?" I asked and he hummed.

"She's in the backyard doing something. She just asked for us not to bother her." Luke said and I nodded.

"I'm gonna go bother her." I stated and then left before they could stop me. I walked outside and looked around, burying my hands in the pockets of my shorts and sliding my white vans across the cement, ruining the soles of them.

I heard the sound of Rihanna's 'Bitch Better Have My Money' and I chuckled. I peered over the side of the house and then saw Melissa.

I watched her spin and dance and I bit back a chuckle as she did a one handed hand stand. She said dancing was stupid before, glad to know she doesn't think that anymore.

She was actually pretty good and she looked pretty good in the joggers I never wear and the loose crop top I have yet to wear aswell.

The song ended soon and before the next could play, I spoke up because I couldn't help it. "You're really good."

She jumped and I winced as her back hit the side of the wall. I ran up to her and she glared at me. "What the fuck?" She asked and I shrugged.

"I didn't mean to scare you." I said and smiled smally. I held a hand up since she had fallen but she brushed me off, standing up by herself.

"Don't tell anyone," she said and I nodded. "Not even Michael knows and god dammit I don't want him to." She told me.

"Okay okay," I said and she ran a hand through her hair. "Why would you keep this a secret? It's not that big of a deal really."

"It is to me." She said and I nodded. "Your... Your hickey is showing." She said and I grabbed my neck.

"You just had to bring it up." I said and chuckled as I shook my head. She cracked a smile and shook her own head as she turned her phone off.

"Do you ever wear shirts?" She asked me and motioned to my sports bra. I shook my head and then shrugged.

"I don't like them." I told her and she just nodded. "So, why aren't you with Mikey? You guys are always together."

"I um needed to be alone." She told me and I nodded as I awkwardly shuffled my feet.

"I'll just go then." I said and gave her a tight smile before turning around.

"I meant, before, you're uh you're fine." She said and I stopped myself from walking away. I looked at her and she tightened the joggers up on her hips.

"You know," I said and walked towards her. "Eating a cheeseburger or two would stop you from having to tighten them so much."

"That's kind of offensive." She told me and looked down at her white Nike's. "Actually, it's really offensive." She told me and I shrugged.

"Hate to tell you but it's true, the gap between your actual skin and the fabric is big enough to fit Ashton's hand." I told her and she shook her head.

"I just need smaller clothes," she told me. "These are yours anyways. We both know you're a few sizes bigger than me." I nodded and she looked at me.

"Can't argue with the facts." I said and chuckled. "Can I ask you a question?" I asked and she nodded as she put her hair into a bun.

"How come sometimes you want to rip my head off and other times you act like we may actually be friends?" I asked and she shrugged.

"I don't know." She said and shrugged, putting her hands in the pockets of the joggers. "Why do you do that to me?"

"Because you do that to me." I said and she shrugged. "Are you going to answer your own question?" I asked her and she shook her head.

"I don't have a legit reason." She told me and I nodded, not furthering. "So, are you just gonna stay out here with me or are you going to go inside?"

"Don't know," I said and shrugged. "Do you want me to stay out here?" I asked her and she shrugged herself.

"So..."

"So..." She trailed off and glanced at my neck again. "Gonna tell me how you got that bad boy?"

"Pretty obvious, someone sucked and bit on my neck." I told her and she scoffed. "How else do hickies appear?"

"I know how they appear," she said smartly. "How did you get one? Who would want to kiss your neck?" She asked, her tone a little more harsh than it was just moments before.

"A lot of people actually." I told her and she rose her eyebrow at me. "You don't believe me?" I asked and she shook her head.

"Not at all." She told me and I chuckled a bit. "Why should I?"

"I think the fat ass bruise on my neck serves as some proof." I told her and somehow we were nose to nose again.

"Why would anyone even want to go that far with you?" She said, sounding a bit disgusted.

She set her hands on my bare stomach but she didn't push me away. "It just happens because I'm that good." I said, smirking a bit because I know what this will lead too. I've been in this situation before.

"Prove it."

"Don't know if I should..." I told her and her nails dug softly into my stomach. It didn't hurt much.

"Do it."

I pressed my lips against her's and closed my eyes as her hands flattened out against my stomach. I chuckled lowly as she gasped and I kissed her jaw.

"Don't believe me?" I questioned again and she leaned her head against the wall, allowing me to kiss higher up her jaw.

"No," she said breathlessly and I rolled my eyes as I set my hands on her hips. My thumbs accidently slipped past the fabric, her hip bones protruded out more than her stomach and causing a gap, and she wrapped her arms around my waist. "We're gonna get caught."

"They wouldn't come out here," I said as I pressed an open mouthed kiss against her neck. "Chill."

"Don't mark-"

"I'm not." I promised and she nodded. "Mikey would kill you for it huh? Your cousin is too protective." I said and she nodded.

"Calum isn't too protective," she said and pushed me away. She pressed me against the side of the building and I chuckled.

What did I tell you? I'm that good.
