Boyfriends

Nari is eight in this and then progresses to 17, 22, 23, then to 27 at the very end.  And In case you're wondering what she'd look like when she's older, imagine Jisoo from Blackpink XD and then Sung-Ho looks slightly like Mark from GOT7

Jin was a bit worried. And by a bit, I mean he immediately ran to Namjoon and cried his eyes out while ranting. What had happened exactly? Well, apparently Nari had found a "boyfriend" in her class. And why was Jin crying? Because his, "little baby" as he called her, was growing up. And he hated that. "Hyung, she is eight. All little kids have-"boyfriends", or "girlfriends" at that age. Heck, my mom  probably has photos leftover from kindergarten. Back then I had a-"girlfriend." Too." Namjoon explained, attempting to stop Jin's crying fit. Jin sighed and grabbed the tissue box from the dresser next to Namjoon's bed, and started dabbing away his tears. "I know..." He started, pausing to sniff. "It just feels like she is growing up too fast..." Jin then sat down on Namjoon's bed next to him while Namjoon gave him a loose hug. "Daddy! Daddy! Look!" A muffled voice called. Jin immediately threw his damp tissue into Namjoon's face, quietly whisper-yelling at him to throw it away while Namjoon also whisper-yelled nonsense about being worried. They then pulled the most-"natural" pose they could pull out by Jin grabbing his phone and laying on Namjoon's bed while Namjoon had ran and flopped onto him, making Jin groan at the weight while he practically planked on him. The door then burst open and Jin tried his best to look normal while pretending to have been playing on his phone. "What is it, Nari?" He asked, setting his phone down. Nari looked at them weirdly. "Joonie-Oppa?" She asked, walking towards where Namjoon's face was. She then leaned forward to look him in the eye, and poked his cheek. He didn't react. "Okay..." Nari mumbled, slightly unsure. She then jumped onto the bed, jumping on the part of Jin's back that wasn't covered by Namjoon. "Daddy, guess what me and my boyfriend did!?" Jin cringed. Boyfriend. Not in his house. "Oh..." Jin began, pushing Namjoon off of him with his leg and Namjoon ending up on the floor with a loud crash and groan, making Nari glance over at the floor with a weirded out expression. He then patted the spot next to him, signaling Nari to get off his back as he sat up and began his next sentence while pulling  her into his lap. "What did you and your-... friend... Do? Hm?" Nari's brows furrowed as she looked up at Jin with her nose scrunched up. "Me and my boyfriend set up a play date! Could we go? It's tomorrow." Jin nodded. He wanted to meet this-... boyfriend... Of hers. "Alright... W-Well... what's your friend's name?" Nari was now a bit...

Well...

Pissed.

It was her boyfriend! He wasn't her friend! He was her BOYfriend! He gave her a ring! And it was her favorite flavor too! A cherry ring! "Well, dad." Nari said, not saying the usual "Daddy" and Instead using the "big girl" term for daddy. Which was dad. Jin cringed. Not again. Last time she had called him dad was when she was angry with him for making her take a bath after she threw up when she was sick. Nari then took a deep breath to try to calm herself down like how Jiminnie-oppa showed her for when she gets angry or scared. "His name is Sung-Ho. He's really nice~!" Nari sung, cupping her face in her hands with a grin. Jin on the other hand was gritting his teeth, annoyed. "Sung-Ho... Huh?" Nari nodded, obviously in dreamland as she stared off into the distance, aka the wall, with a far off look. Namjoon apparently took this as a chance to rise from the dead, so he did so and looked over at them while kneeling next to the bed. He raised an eyebrow at Jin's expression. "You look pissed," he said bluntly. "Swear jar..." Nari replied back, still staring off into space. "Yeah, yeah..." He mumbled, standing up and sitting next to him on the bed. "But really, what's up?" He whispered, trying to make it to where Nari wouldn't hear. Jin sighed and shook his head, picking Nari up and setting her on her feet. "Nari, how about you go play with Hobi, alright?" Nari nodded, still dreamily looking off into the distance as she walked towards the door. She accidentally walked into the wall, which broke her small trance enough to where she could open the door, get out and close it again. Even though there was a thud heard and a small-"I'm okay!" Afterwards from outside. Jin smiled gently then went pack to his frown that he had previously. "So... What's up?" Namjoon asked, pulling out his phone and unlocking it. "... Get your gun. Nari apparently has a-"boyfriend". And we're supposed to meet him tomorrow." "... Forget my gun let me borrow a military tank."

"Sungie-Oppa~!" Nari yelled, running towards a brown haired boy. The boy looked up from the picture he was coloring on, and grinned, jumping out of his chair and away from who seemed to be his mother and ran towards Nari as well. They met in the middle and gave each other a big hug, the boy giving her a large kiss on her cheek. Jin watched this unfold with his eye twitching from anger, as well as the veins in his neck popping out, his blood boiling and his face slightly red. Stupid kids. Yoongi seemed to notice this and gave him a "small" pat on the shoulder, also seemingly angry at the slightest. "Don't worry Hyung... We won't let him hurt her." He said through gritted teeth. The others were a bit annoyed with how lovey dovey the ten were, but they didn't exactly have a problem with it.

Well...

Everyone except for Jin, Yoongi, and Jimin were okay with it. "Sung-Ho! Come meet my family!" Nari yelled excitedly, grabbing his hand and running towards the boys, not even giving him a chance to speak. Yoongi smirked at this. "Yeah, you put that kid in his place!" He thought to himself before returning to his previous emotionless face and dull eyes. Jimin was silently glaring at the boy, hoping if he just glared enough he'd run away with fear and he'd get his little coloring friend back. There was no way that boy was going to be her new coloring friend. No way. He was her coloring friend, not that stupid kindergartener. "Jiminnie-Oppa! Kookie-Oppa" Snapping out of his quick gaze, he looked down with a scowl, until he saw it was just Nari. She raised an eyebrow. "Oppa? Are you okay?" Jimin smiled and nodded, bending down towards their height. Nari looked him over worriedly. She might be young, but she knows a lot and she is very mature for her age. "Okay..." She began hesitantly, smiling afterwards and pushing Sung-ho in front of him. "This is my boyfriend, Sungie-oppa~! He's nine!" She said, giving the shorter boy a large engulfing hug. The boy smiled shyly and looked down, holding Nari's hand that had grabbed his once she broke the hug. "Hello..." he said timidly. Alright. This kid can be her second coloring friend. He's still the first. But Sung-ho was absolutely adorable, and he couldn't resist giving him a hug and snatching him from Nari. "So cute~!" He yelled, letting go of the boy and allowing him to breathe while he pinched his chubby cheeks. The boy pouted, but then let a shy smile poke through. "You have chubby cheeks like me~" Jimin cooed, patting his own cheeks and creating a small ripple to form from the contact. Sung-ho laughed and nodded. He then noticed Jungkook, to which the maknae just smiled and waved, earning the same reaction from the shy boy in return. It was only when Jimin stood up so that Nari could introducethe next member of her-"family" to Sung-ho, is that he noticed Jungkook staring at him affectionately. When they made eye contact they blushed and looked away, Jungkook clearing his threat awkwardly and Jimin beginning to play with the sleeves of his over-sized sweater. Nari noticed their odd behavior, but payed no mind to it. Now it was time for Sungie-oppa to meet Tae-Oppa and Hobi-Oppa! "HopeHope-oppa?" Hoseok had been previously talking to Jin and attempting to calm him down, but as soon as he heard Nari's adorable nickname for him he immediately was wrapped around her little finger, and had all of his attention. Well, let's be honest. Nari had all of the boys wrapped around her finger. "Hm? What is it, aga*?" Hoseok asked, kneeling down to her with a warm smile that could melt anyone's heart. Jin saw that a few girls walking by cooed at the scene and he could've sworn that he heard one of the woman's dogs coo at the sight as well. "I want you to meet my boyfriend! This is Sungie-Oppa!" The two boys couldn't help but laugh at how adorable the-"couple" was, as Hoseok held out his hand for Sung-Ho to shake. "It is very nice to meet you, Sung-Ho! I'm J-Hope, so I'm your Hope'" Hoseok beamed, smiling warmly at the boy. Sung-Ho grinned, showing off his adorable gap tooth as he shook Hobi's hand with a tight grip. "Hello, Hope-Hyung." He said, being a bit louder than before and introducing his adorable voice. It was most likely even higher than Nari's.  Yup. That boy was destined to be a Tenor when he grows up. Hoseok grinned brightly as he watched him waddle over to Taehyung. It was quite the cold day, so it was understandable why he was bundled up tightly in a giant orange coat and what looked to be two pairs of pants. Nari was also cuddled in her red ladybug jacket and black pants that were fuzzy and warm on the inside. The jacket looked like Miraculous Ladybug! So that's why Nari absolutely loved it. After all, Mickey Mouse, Miraculous Ladybug, ALL of the Disney princesses, Super Mario, My Little Pony, and Hello Kitty were her absolute favorite characters. "This is TaeTae-Oppa!" Nari yelled, walking over to Taehyung and tightly hugging his leg. She did only just barely come up to his hip. Taehyung grinned and ruffled her hair, making her pout and comb through it while whining a small-"Oppa! My hair!" To him. Which he just replied with a rushed sorry. Sung-Ho shyly smiled and waved cutely, making Taehyung-"aww" at him. "I approve of your boyfriend! He's adorable~ reminds me of Jiminie!" Nari grinned and nodded, going over to Sung-Ho and hugging him tightly. Next was...

Yoongi.

.... Sh**.

Anyways. Nari smiled sheepishly. She knew Yoongi didn't like her hanging around boys other than the rest of the group, so she wasn't really sure how he'd react. So in order to keep him in line-more less her attempt to keep him in line- she walked over to him and tightly gripped his leg, sitting down in his foot to try to keep in on the ground. "This is Yoongi-Oppa..." Nari said, a bit more timid than before while laying her head against Yoongi's leg. Yoongi had been visibly tensed before, but now he had seemed to calm down. He wasn't exactly afraid of her having a-"boyfriend" he was more afraid of her enjoying spending time with Sung-Ho instead of him. "N-Nice to meet you H-Hyung..." Sung-Ho said, trying to be polite while holding his hand out to shake Yoongi's. Yoongi just kept a straight face and took the kid's smaller hand into his own, shaking it slowly and staring at him. Maybe if he stared long enough he'd disappear and go running back to his mommy. Namjoon then quietly cleared his throat, elbowing Yoongi in the side and making him let go of Sung-Ho's hand to grab his side while the boy ran to hide behind Namjoon's legs. Namjoon then quickly whipped his head to his sides, attempting to see the boy, and smiling once he finally did. Namjoon then bent down in front of the boy, crazily bending down because he was like two feet taller than him, and smiled warmly at him, holding his hand out. "Good morning, Sung-Ho. How are you today?" Namjoon asked as the boy shyly shook his hand. "Good..." He mumbled quietly. Namjoon grinned, showing off his deep dimples while he ruffled the boy's hair gently and stood back up. He then looked over at Jin. Yeah. He practically had steam coming out of his ears. But once Nari had finally gotten off of Yoongi's leg and ran over to Jin, looking up to him and making grabby hands at him, asking him to pick her up, he calmed down slightly. And picked her up. After knowing Nari was securely in his arms, he looked down at Sung-Ho. And he looked up at him. Then suddenly, Sung-Ho grinned. "You're Nari's daddy!" Jin raised an eyebrow. What? How'd this kid know? "Nari always is telling me about how her daddy has big lips and big eyes, and pink hair!" Jin blinked for a few seconds, but then smiled and looked over at Nari. "Oh she did, did she?" Nari was pouting while looking over at her "boyfriend". "Sungie-Oppa! You weren't supposed to tell him..." Sung-Ho giggled. "Sorry Nar-Nar, he just really does look as pretty as a girl!" Yep. She really was growing up.

"Dad! I'm going out to Sung-Ho's house!" Nari yelled, grabbing her jacket as she slipped on her snow boots. Jin sighed, carefully standing up. His knees had become weaker as he had aged, and he wasn't used to getting up off of the couch and back on yet. "Do you have to go, sweetheart? I thought it was going to be a daddy daughter day today?" Jin asked, slowly trudging over to Nari. He didn't have his hair pink anymore, of course. He had dyed it black. Once the band had stopped making music, he had gotten his own apartment for him and Nari to live in. The rest of the boys also shared apartments in the same complex, so that way if Nari ever needed them or missed them she'd just have to walk a few doors down to see them. Jungkook and Jimin had moved in together, as well as Hoseok and Taehyung about 2 doors down, and Yoongi and Namjoon had gotten lucky enough to be right next door to the two. They always spent holidays at Jin and Nari's apartment, such as Christmas, thanksgiving, New Years, Easter, and every holiday in between. Nari smiled and hugged Jin tightly, him responding as he hugged back. "I won't be long, dad. I'll be back before dinner." Jin smiled as Nari gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Promise?" Nari grinned and nodded, shoving her long black and pink hair behind her ear. "Promise." Jin kept his smile as he nodded, beginning to head back to the couch until Nari stopped him. "Heyyy! Show you care?" Nari yelled, making him turn around to face her. Nari was pouting just like how she used to do when she was little and pointing to her cheek. Jin grinned and nodded, taking a few steps towards her and giving her a small kiss on the cheek while Nari grinned, hugging him again afterwards. "Thank you, Dad." Jin kept a smile on for the rest of the day. She was almost all grown up.

"Kim Nari, will you make me the happiest man in the world... and marry me?" Nari gasped. Sung-Ho was kneeling in front of her, a blush prominent on his face as he held out a ring. It was Christmas Eve, a beautiful winter night as Sung-Ho's family and Nari's family came together to celebrate before Christmas Day. Tears began pouring out of Nari's eyes as she nodded her head repeatedly. "Yes! A million times, yes!" She yelled, grabbing the ring from him and putting it on her finger herself, and then jumping onto him and trapping the poor man in a hug. Sung-Ho grinned from ear to ear, so brightly his cheeks had already began to hurt seconds later. The applause of the two family's behind them rung throughout the apartment, but the new fiancées didn't care. All they saw was each other in that moment. And with that, Nari pulled her head out of his shoulder, grabbing his collar and giving him a kiss. Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung were all jumping from excitement, hugging each other over and over again, while Hoseok, Yoongi, and Namjoon were smiling eye to eye, tears beginning to fall as they clapped loudly. Sung-Ho's family was simply smiling, proud of their youngest child for finally getting the confidence to pop the question. He had carried that ring around while wondering when was the right time. And he finally found it. Jin was on the brink of tears. Sung-Ho had asked him about three days before this, wanting to be sure that Nari's own father would approve. He was hesitant at giving her away. But after talking with Yoongi and Namjoon, the three called him back and Jin gave him his blessing. Jin was now reminiscing over old memories of pushing Nari on the swing, watching My Little Pony with her, helping her when she hurt her knee... But she didn't need him anymore. His little baby really did grow up.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Dad... Oppa..." The seven men looked over at Nari and Sung-Ho, confused as to why the couple had called them over. Nari had said it was-"urgent" and that they had-"exciting news". Jin was the most confused. Was what exciting? Why did they need to meet in person? Couldn't they just be told over the phone...? "W-we... uhh..." She looked nervous. Why was this? Was everything okay? "Is everything okay, Nari?" Jimin asked from where he was sitting, catching everyone's attention. Nari giggled and nodded. "Yes! Yes... Everything is v-very good actually I just... Don't know how to tell you..." Yoongi raised an eyebrow. "Well...? Just tell us. Doesn't matter how." Well... they didn't know about the hidden camera rolling from behind the TV. Or at least she thought they didn't. But alas! Namjoon had seen it. And he was suspecting things. "We're... um..." Jin nodded, telling her to continue as Nari glanced over at Sung-Ho, nervous as her hand visibly tightened on his. "W-We're... Expecting." They all froze. Wait... Expecting...
What did that mean again...?
Oh wait...
Oh wait.
".... Huh?" Taehyung asked, breaking the silence. "We're e-expecting. We're having a b-baby Oppa." The seven blinked for a few seconds. And with each of those seconds, a larger grin appeared in their faces. And sooner or later they were all jumping everywhere and yelling different things, such as "congratulations!", "I'M A GRANDPA!", and, "I'm getting too old for this sh** but I love it." And while all of the other boys were up and hugging, and congratulating the Two, Jin was just sitting down on the couch with a bright smile. Yep. She's all grown up.
You enjoy angst? Eh?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"So... Who's Jin again?" Nari sighed of frustration, closing the book in her hands as she peered over at her father. "That's you, dad." "Woah, woah... Dad? I'm not a father..." Nari's eyes widened. "Dad...! You found me in a box! You took care of me from when I was seven!" Jin just looked over at her from his hospital bed, confusion written over his wrinkled face. Nari sighed, holding her tears back as she looked over at him. Alzheimer's was really taking a toll on Jin. Last month he couldn't understand who Sung-Ho was, let alone who his own grandchildren were. "Alright... Well let's read the book again, okay?" Jin looked up at the celling and nodded. He forgot what the story was about already anyways. Short-term memory had also had ruined him. Before he had gotten Alzheimer's and when Nari was about 16, he had woken up in the middle of the night and went to go check on her, forgetting she had gone to sleep over at her friend's house. He had freaked out and called her, waking her and her friend up and then apologizing immediately once she had told him. Now he had forgotten who she was even. Nari couldn't help it anymore. Between the memories and him forgetting, she couldn't take it. She threw the book to the side, running towards Jin and collapsing onto him, sobbing loudly. "D-Daddy... Why can't you just remember me!?" She yelled in agony, gripping his hospital shirt tightly, just like she always did when she came into his room after a nightmare and asked to sleep with him when she was little. Jin was confused. Who was this girl? Why was she crying? Who was Jin? Well, even if he forgot his own name, he hadn't forgotten himself. And he still had his motherly instincts. So, instead of leaving her there, he slowly wrapped his arms around her, minding the wires and needles while he carefully hugged her and kissed her head. Nari then immediately shot up to meet his eyes. "It... shows you cares..."

He's not all gone.

Aga* - Baby
