Chapter 3
**✿❀○❀✿**
I waited for only a second or two, before I heard the door lock being fiddled with. The door opened, revealing a man probably in his early 20's. As I saw him, my heart sank.
"Hello?" He said, obviously confused as to why I was here. I could only sigh, as my eyes wondered away from him, and towards the door.
"Oh, sorry, I think I got the wrong house. I was expecting someone else...." I explained, with clear disappointment in my voice.
"Well, can I help you?" The man said sympathetically, as he noticed the sadness in my tone of voice.
"No no, I'm sorry that I bothered you..." I whispered, and with that I turned and left. I wasn't really surprised, but I was still upset. I mean I guess I was still hoping....
I walked out of there and just kept walking forward, regularly looking up from the ground and remembering some of my surroundings, so I could retrace my steps back to the orphanage before it gets too late.
I was getting a little hungry, so I went towards this well known restaurant in the area, for my lunch. Unnie gave me quite a lot of money, so I could have a really nice lunch! I walked up to the building, and slowly opened the door, hearing a little bell go off.
A waitress then quickly walked up to me, finding me a seat. While I walked, I looked around my surroundings a little. It was actually more of a cafe, than a restaurant really. Once I had reached a table I sat down, and finally relaxed.
I looked at the menu and saw so many things, most of which, I haven't even heard about before. Me being a terribly indecisive person, I didn't have a clue of what I should pick. One of the waiters, I assumed, came over to the table while I was in my own little world of making this small decision.
"Are you ready to order?" The young man asked, and I looked up as I heard the voice. I recognised him immediately. Even if I don't talk to many people, I always remember a face.
"Ummm, could I just have a few more minutes?" I asked quietly, as I shyly smiled up at him. He furrowed his eyebrows a bit, before tilting his head back a bit, while giving a light chuckle.
"You're Mina right?" He queried, as I nodded my head lightly.
"Yeah, and you are?" I asked, without even thinking to look at his name tag. That probably would've been easier.
"I'm Yeon, I'm in 4th year, in the same school as you actually!" He said, as he sat down across from me, while extending his arm out for a handshake.
"I'm in third year, nice to meet you." I said, as I shook his hand. I could feel my face heating up slightly, and tried my best to ignore it, even though I knew he noticed I was blushing.
"We've seen each other a couple of times before, haven't we?" He asked, as once again, I nodded.
"I think so...." I replied, showing a soft smile.
"So, do you need help choosing what to pick?" He asked, with a warm smile spread over his face.
"Yeah, I've never been here before...." I said, while looking down at the ground.
"Well, I would suggest the Naengmyeon. That's our chef's specialty." He said proudly, as he pointed to it on the menu.
"Okay then, I'll go for it." I agreed, as I really had no other options, knowing very few other dishes on this menu.
"Perfect, I'll have someone bring it out for you went its done!" He said happily, as he took the menu, starting to walk away. And what I did next, was something I never expected myself to do.
"I was wondering, when are you finished your shift?" I suddenly asked, surprising myself. Yeon turned back around, at the sound of my voice. He looked at his left wrist, where his watch was, and then lifted his head up, to meet my eyes.
"Well you were the last one, so I guess now...." He said, as he gave a charming smile.
"Would you like to join me for lunch?" I asked. I really asked that. This was quite the impulse decision, as I really didn't expect those words to come out of my mouth.
"Sure!" He replied, with a wide smile going from ear to ear.
"I'll just go place our orders and then, I'll be back." He said, and left taking the menu back with him and into the kitchen.
So now, I'm left here for the next minute or two, with all of my overflowing thoughts. Most of them, screaming at myself, for talking to another human being. But some, very few thoughts, were positive ones, at the fact I built up the courage to ask some to join me for lunch. Not only that, but talking to the guy in the first place, was quite a nice accomplishment.
My only problem was, I never had a proper full conversation with a boy before that wasn't about school work. Actually, I never really had a non school related conversation with anyone, from my school. I didn't even get any time to think about what I would say, or do, as he now came into view.
"Should be ready in around 10 minutes." He explained, as he sat down across from me.
"I didn't know students worked at this age." I said, starting up the conversation.
"Yes, well once you start fourth year, you'll notice many other students finding jobs." He explained, as I nodded my head, showing I was listening.
"You know, since I've never really talked to you much I barely even know anything about you." I stated, after giving myself a minute or two to think.
"What do you want to know?" He asked, leaning back in his chair.
"How about we ask each other 3 questions, and we both answer them?" I suggested, not having any other ideas come to mind.
"Cool, me first though." He said excitedly, as he looked up at the ceiling, thinking to himself.
"Okay." I replied, letting out a small giggle.
"What do you want to be, when you're older?" He then asked, looking back at me.
"I never really thought about it but, I guess I'm good at drawing. So I'd say.... an artist." I said, after talking a few seconds to think.
"Really? Would you be able to like....draw me?" He asked excitedly, with so much happiness in his voice. He seemed to be very energetic, and positive, and that's what I already like about him.
"I could, but it would be in cartoon form. I'm not too good at drawing realistically...." I answered.
"But you give it a shot?" He asked, as I shrugged my shoulders.
"I could try....but, now it's my turn!" I stated, as I looked down, thinking of a question. Although I did suggest this, I didn't actually have an questions in mind.
"Ask away." He replied, as I continued to think. In the end, I ended up asking a rather generic question.
"How many is in your family?" I asked, having no other questions come to mind.
"There are 8 of us." He replied casually.
"WHAT?" I stated. If I had been drinking water, I would for sure have spit it all over the ground by now.
"A lot, I know." He replied, with a chuckle.
"How do you manage?" I asked, wondering what it would be like, to have a family like that.
"Well, I have two older brothers. One is in college and the other in 6th year, so I don't see them as they are always away with their friends somewhere, or studying." Yeon explained. "Then there's me, my mum, dad and my three younger sisters.'
"That must be fun...." I said sarcastically.
"Oh yeah! Loads of FUN." He replied, with the same tone I had.
"Your turn."
"A question....hmmmmm...." He thought aloud, making the obvious 'I'm thinking really hard, but I know what I'm going to ask' face.
"Oh please, take your time...." I laughed, as he did too at my remark.
"Can I have your phone number?" He finally asked. I didn't even get to answer, as our food suddenly came out. It's good that it did, because it distracted him long enough, to let myself calm down (and hopefully let my face return from it's tomato red, to normal).
"So....about that number?" Yeon began, as the waitress had left. Unfortunately, once again I felt my face heat up.
"Okay then." I replied, while he passed me his phone. I put in my number and he took back his phone, but was looking at it for a minute or two. Just a few seconds later, I got a call.
"I'm sitting right across from you...." I giggled, looking up, seeing his gorgeous smile.
"I just had to make sure you didn't give me a random number."

"I didn't get to ask you my 3rd question." Yeon suddenly realised, as he stopped in his tracks. We had walked back from the cafe, and we were just a minutes walk from my orphanage. I had already told him I would walk back from a certain point, on my own.
"I really have to go now, but maybe save it for the next time?" I suggested, seeing him nod his head lightly.
"I'll be looking forward to it!" He replied, a smile over his face, locking eyes with me. So yet again, I got butterflies, and a blush covered face.
"I have to go now, but I'll see you at school tomorrow, okay?" I replied, as a way of saying that this is where we should part.
"See you tomorrow then, Mina." He stated, as we both waved goodbye, making our way home, in opposite directions.
I then made my way back to the orphanage, thinking only positively about the wonderful day I had. There was an evident smile on my face, as I walked up to the door of the orphanage, and opened it, walking inside.
"What's wrong?" I asked, as I noticed all eyes were on me.
