Alexandra's point of view

"I'm not ready to meet people." I whined to one of my friends and she gave me a stern look as she brushed my curled hair out.

"Alexandra." She practically snapped and I huffed as I crossed my arms, standing here awkwardly as she fixed my hair. "Stand still, let me fix your make-up."

"I never even get picked Miranda, what's the point? You always dress me up and it all goes to waste at the end of the day." I told her and she sighed as she ran the mascara wand along my eyelashes.

"Have faith mija." She said and I mental rolled my eyes at her, unable to do so in real life or my eye will get stabbed by the wand. "I'm almost done okay? I just need your eyeliner, perfume, and lipstick."

"I don't want it."

"Oi, I outta..." She trailed off and put the wand down shortly after. "I'm going to be eighteen soon okay? I'm just trying to help while I can." She told me and I sighed, realizing I did sound kind of selfish.

"I'm sorry." I said and she told me it was fine. I allowed her to put the eyeliner on me and then smear the red lipstick on my lips.

I shifted my feet and then rubbed my lips together as she sprayed me with some perfume she was obsessed with. I closed my eyes and she chuckled.

"You look beautiful Alexa." She said and I looked at her. I smiled and she gave me a hug as a knock sounded on my door. "Come on, let's go downstairs."

"Thank you Mindy." I said and she just nodded. I went downstairs after fixing the straps to my dress and smiled as Ms. Francis as she allowed a few couples in.

I sat down and picked at the bottom of my dress, knowing that Miranda wasted her make-up once again on me.

"Hi," someone said and I jumped. "Oh, did I scare you? I'm sorry." The woman said and I gulped.

"It's fine, I was just thinking." I told her and she nodded. "I um, have I seen you before?" I asked because she looked familiar.

"Probably." She told me and smiled as she sat down beside me. "Ashton, come over here. What are you doing on your phone?" She said an I looked into the direction she was.

"Sorry love, Mikey texted me and said it was important." He said and walked over. "Turns out, he just lost his charger.

My heart thumped against my chest as I looked at him and he looked at me. "What's you're name darling?"

Fucking Ashton Irwin called me darling, I can die in peace.

"A-Alexandra." I stuttered out and he nodded as he sat down beside his girlfriend. "I um, you're Ashton Irwin-"

"I am, and this is my girlfriend Bryana." He said and wrapped an arm around her waist. I looked between the two and gave them a smile.

"So, what do you like to do Alexa-Can I call you Alexa? Your name is quite long." Ashton said and I nodded.

"Everyone does, that's fine." I said and he chuckled. "I uh I like to sleep?"

"Same." Bryana said and raised her hand. We high-fived and I smiled a bit. "Don't you just love to sleep in? No school, no work, no alarms. It's amazing."

Ashton agreed and I just felt the need to speak about it. "I-I thought your girlfriend always bitches when you sleep in?" I asked and he snorted as Bryana laughed.

"Bryana will sleep in with me, it's all good here." He said and smiled, still looking amused. "Is there anything else you enjoy doing besides sleeping?"

"Um, I like to draw and take pictures, not of myself, of like everything, everyone around me." I said and they nodded. "Um, I like putting clothes and stuff together, that's fun to do. I enjoy it, when I'm not being forced into the clothes afterwards especially."

"That's cool." Bryana said and smiled. "Did you put together your outfit today?" She asked and I subconsciously looked at my dress.

"My friend helped me because I really didn't want to get up out of bed. She made me dress like this today." I told her and she nodded.

"How old are you love?" Ashton asked and I took a deep breath. Love.

"I'm fourteen years old." I said and they nodded. "I look like I'm twelve though."

"No you don't." Bryana said and laughed. I chuckled a bit myself and she leaned into Ashton. "You're a freshman then?" She asked and I nodded.

"What kind of grades are you getting?" Ashton asked me and I blushed at the question.

"I have B's, C's, and an A." I told him and he rose an eyebrow at me. "Math is hard okay, and science is confusing."

"Who needs science? Give me human anatomy, that's all you need." Bryana said and chuckled. "I hated those too. It sucks."

"What do you have an A in?"

"Art." I answered and he nodded. "I love art." I told them and they smiled.

"You heart art?" Bryana asked and we laughed. "I'm sorry, that was bad." She said and I shrugged.

"It's cool." I told her and smiled a bit. "What are you guys doing in San Francisco?" I asked and they looked at each other.

"We have are song called San Francisco and I wanted to show Bryana why it's so important to me." Ashton said and I nodded. "Um, we're staying here a few days, then moving up to LA since a majority of her work is there."

"So why come here to adopt?" I asked confused. "I mean, no offense, but wouldn't it have been smarter to adopt up in LA?"

"It'll give us both a reason to love San Francisco." Ashton told me and I nodded. "Finally able to do something we want to, rather than our managers and stuff. The mark of a new life."

"Oh, I see." I said and nodded, understanding now. "That's cute." I told them and they smiled.

"Alexa," Mindy called and I looked at her. She saw who I was with and smiled. "It can wait love." She told me and then left.

"Go see what she wants. I have to talk to Bryana." Ashton said and I nodded as I got up. I pulled my dress down a bit and then went up to Mindy's room.

I walked in and she was listening to her Ipod while writing a paper. "Mindy?" I asked as I walked up to her, taking her ear bud out.

"Hey Alexa, have they gone already?" She asked and smiled. I shook my head and she chuckled. "Then what are you doing up here?"

"They needed to talk." I said and she nodded. "What's up? What did you need?" I asked does her.

"I was going to ask if you could get my notebook wherever you put it, but I found it under your bed." She told me and I nodded. "You can go back down there."

"Thank you for forcing me to look good and to get out of bed." I told her and smiled. "I probably wouldn't be talking to Ashton and Bryana of it weren't for you."

"Don't worry about it. Just go back down there." She told me and pushed my chin up, causing me to smile a bit.

"I'll see you in a bit." I said and she nodded. I turned around and then went back downstairs, accidentally running into someone. "I'm so sorry-"

"Be careful babe." I heard Ashton said and I looked at him. "Which one is your room?" He asked me.

"Why?"

"Bryana wants me to help you pack your bags." He said and smiled. "If-If you want us to adopt you, is that okay with you?" He asked me and I nodded.

"That's-That's fine." I told him and he smiled. "I um... I'll take you up to my room yeah, follow me." I said and he nodded.

I took him up to my room and she looked around. "Do you have a bag?" He asked and I shook my head.

"My backpack."

"I have a suitcase in the car since we're going to LA soon, like I said, you can use it." He said and smiled. "I'll go get it, take your belongings out so we can put them away."

"Okay." I said and nodded. He left my room and I began to take everything out of the drawers, setting them on my bed.

Once I finished, I began to take everything out of my closet. I set them by the bed and Ashton placed a large suitcase on my bed.

"Let's pack your stuff away." He said and helped me fold my clothes away into it. "Have you been to LA?"

"No." I told him and he nodded. "I've been here all my life." I said and placed my black converse on top of all the folded clothes.

I zipped it closed and he set it on the floor. "Well, I hope you're ready to go to LA with us." He said and I smiled, nodding my head.

"When do you leave?"

"Few weeks." He answered and I nodded. "We've been in an apartment for a month or something."

"Come on, let's go put this away in the car. Bryana, being Bryana, wants to take you shopping before we leave for LA. Have gun bonding over clothes." He told me and I nodded.

"Let me do something real quick." I said and he nodded. "I'll met you uh outside Ash." I told him.

"That's fine." He said and nodded. He went downstairs and I went to Mindy's room.

"Knock knock." I said and she looked up from her notebook. "Hey Miranda," I said and she looked at me.

"What's up? Did they leave?"

"They're about to." I said and a small smirk took over her lips. "What's with the face?"

"Your bags are packed huh?" She asked and I nodded. "Come here." She said and I walked over to her.

I gave her a hug and she rubbed my back. "Have fun Alexa," she said and kissed the top of my head. "Don't be too much trouble."

"I won't be." I said and closed my eyes. "I'll miss you." I told her and she chuckled.

"I'll miss you too Alexa." She said and pulled away. "They're waiting for you, don't let me keep you." She told me and I nodded as I pulled away.

"See you soon Mindy." I said and she chuckled.
