*The week after the sleepover Ash's POV*
I hear Lucas yelling at me to wake up cause we have guests downstairs but I just lay there ignoring him. That is until he sprays my face with a water gun. "LUCAS YOUR DEAD!" I scream running after him totally forgetting that I'm in my pajama short shorts and bra. I chase him down the stairs and into the living room where I tackle him. I growl at him until I hear a wolf whistle I get up to see Jin and his wife Molly standing next to mom and dad. Then I notice their 17yr. old son eyeing me with lust in his eyes. "Why, hello I didn't realize that a beautiful, foxy young lady lived here. My names Ryan what's yours baby?" He said flirtatiously walking towards me rather annoyed I answer "Excuse me?" "You heard me sweetheart. I wanna know the name of the beautiful body in front of me." He answers with his eyes slowly making their way down to my exposed chest. Still extremely annoyed at him looking at me I immediately punch him in the eye. I watch him hit the floor with a black eye forming. I crouch down and grab his hair making him look me in the eyes and hold my knife to his throat. "If I catch you looking at me like that again you won't have balls understand me you think headed testosterone driven bull?" I say with a clenched jaw extremely annoyed I hear our parents snickering "and that's ash" I hear my mom tell our guests. When Ryan nods his head I let go and head back upstairs to get dressed. I put on jean shorts, a dark blue half shirt, a black short sleeved jacket, my gloves, and boots. I'm especially happy cause I got the last of my casts off yesterday. When I'm dressed I go to the bathroom to brush my hair. I look into the mirror and see my eyes full of pain and suffering. Going to a school brings back bad memories so I put on my see-through blindfold so no one can see my pain. I jump when I hear a knock and the door open I turn to see misty standing in the doorway. "You're wearing glasses?!" "Yeah, I don't wear them often. Why are you wearing your blindfold? " "Cause if I don't you'll be able to see all of the pain in my eyes. I've learned to never show physical emotions or pain on my face but my eyes don't they show every emotion that I'm feeling. Going to a school just brings back bad memories from my school on the military base and the orphanage. Also you should wear your glasses more often they look good on you." "I totally understand, and maybe, oh, I also saw what you did to Ryan." "He deserved it" "You're right he did." "Why is he even here anyway?" "Apparently he's here to guide us to school since its not to far we can ride our bikes." "Lovely" I say sarcastically as I grab my backpack and put it on and grab my dirt bike helmet. When we get downstairs I punch Lucas in the arm as I walk up to Ryan and hold out my hand. "Names ash" When he grabs my hand I pull him close to me and say "If I ever see you flirting with misty you and I are going to have problems got it." He nods his head quickly and I respond "Pleasure to meet you sort of. At least you know not to mess with someone who's military trained." "Wait what?!" He yells as me, Lucas, and misty walk outside to get on our bikes. But before me and misty can walk out the door my mom stops us "Knives gimme now." She says as she holds out her hand. We try and give her a look like we don't have them but that doesn't work "Come on, cough them up I know you two have them." We sigh defeated and hand her our knives she smiles and moves so we can leave. When we get outside I put on my helmet and yell "Hey, dumbass you coming or what?" We all ride off to school when Ryan finally comes out of the house. It took 15 minutes to ride there when we arrive Ryan says "Here we are Altria High school." We put our bikes in the bike rack and head inside of the huge two story school. We head to the main office and get our schedules I soon realize that I don't have any classes with misty or Lucas. But on the plus side our lockers are next to each other's so that makes me happy. I walk with Ryan to class together cause we have the same first class. As we arrive I head to the back of the class and get tripped by one of the popular girls sitting in the front row. Everyone laughs at me but I get up with no emotion and continue to the back and sit down.

*Time skip to lunch*
As the bell rings signaling lunch I walk out of the classroom. While I'm walking down the hall I'm shoved into lockers, tripped, kicked, verbally abused, punched, and slapped all by the same girl. I walk into the cafeteria and get my lunch and sit down at an empty table waiting for misty and Lucas to arrive. While I'm waiting the popular girl who's bullied me all day comes up and dumps her hot coffee all over me mostly on my shoulders and neck. Sure I would have let it go if the drink was cold but no. I'm so tired of everyone's crap I snapped and stood up quickly and punch her then I tackle her and repeatedly punch her until I'm pulled away from the crying, bleeding girl. I look up to see Lucas and Ryan holding me, I see the principal, Misty's parents, and my parents with mad looks on their faces I realized that they saw everything. I completely forgot that our parents were taking a tour of the school today. As the principal walks up and grabs my shoulder which hurt really bad but I didn't show I only had one though and that is. I'm so so SO screwed right now. I was soon being dragged down the hall to the office with my parents death glaring me. We sit down and the principal says "Take off your mask." I do as told with out making eye contact with anyone. "Now, can you please tell us why you assaulted Ms. Princeton?" "Oh, let's see she's tripped me, kicked me, shoved me, slapped me, punched me, verbally abused me, and finally she dumped her drink on me. I snapped and beat the living crap out her as punishment." I said while counting on my fingers. "Punishment? Who on earth punishes a child by beating them?" My dad asks surprised "My birth father who else. That's how I knew I did something wrong was by getting beat with a belt." "Your birth father beat you?" My mom asks on the verge of tears. "Yep, I'm lucky they only beat me with a belt that left temporary red marks and not scars like misty has. That's why I was wearing my mask it was to hide the pain that lingers in my eyes. Cause I've learned to never show physical emotions or pain on my face but my eyes show everything." I answer leaning back causing the front two legs of the chair to come off the ground. "Ash, you're dismissed I need to talk to your parents now." I get up without a word and leave while putting my mask back on. I head back to the cafeteria and walk over to misty and the guys since I'm behind them I see misty and Lucas holding hands under the table. I smile and continue walking over there and sit down. "Mind telling us why you beat up the most popular girl in school? And why's your neck really red?" Ryan asks me while moving my hair to look at my burned neck. "I was tired of her giving me crap. As for my neck she dumped her really hot coffee on my neck and shoulders. I'm pretty sure I have 1st degree burns but I'm not sure." We soon see the principal walking over to us. "I'm sorry but Ms. Phoenix your military background has deemed you unsafe to be on school grounds and have been put on home bound. Your allowed to come to school dances and events and stuff like that but you must work from home from now on. Please go clean out your locker and tell me who will receive and return your schoolwork." We all looked at him shocked by the words that just came out of his mouth. Especially misty who looks absolutely heartbroken. "I'll do it since I'm her brother." Lucas speaks up "Alright I'll be sure to let the teachers know to drop her schoolwork by my office. Also your parents are waiting in my office to take you home when you're done." I nod and get up I walk to my locker and empty it I close it and take off my mask and slide down the wall of lockers with tears streaming down my face. "Whelp, there goes the only chance I had at living a normal life." I say as I calm down putting my mask back on hiding my red tear stained eyes I punch my locker then head to the main office. The car ride home was silent when we get home I walk upstairs to my room to breakdown. I take off my shirt cause of the burns and fall onto my bed silently crying into Charzy. I hear mom come in and feel her sit down on the bed beside me. I feel her start rubbing my back and examining the burns but I push her away she gets the message and leaves me alone.
