SAM POV

I went out of the room with Chris and Aaliyah. Diana and Nick were still in the room and we were right outside. 

"What is it?" Chris asked. 

"Dont act like you don't know it". I said

"Well, Diana got shot whats big in that. She will recover from it soon". he said

"She could have died the extent of her injuries, anything could have happened, neurological deficits and she would remember this all her life a big scar on her stomach to remind her of it and Nick he would forever be in the guilt that for saving him Diana took the bullet and had to suffer a lot of cause of it". I said listing all the possibilities.

"She did not die". Chris said.

" You just heard me, she could have and the trauma she is gonna experience after this it might wreck her". I said.

"Might. There is no certainty that will happen". He said. His voice cracked in between.

By the crack, I knew that he knew it was his fault. Even I would call to check up on the kids they came the next morning. By that, it was clear that he didn't even care about them. I went back in without saying a word. 

Diana and Nick were both asleep. Nick just laying beside her. Diana didn't eat anything it was just lying there on the table untouched. I decided to just keep it away on a table covered and left the room. 

Bradley came in after a while. 

"How's she doing?"He asked. 

"She didn't eat anything but other than that no signs of infection or anything else she is sleeping right now". I said. 

"That's good". He said.

I yawned. I didn't sleep the whole night I was worried about Diana. 

"You didn't sleep. Right?". He asked. 

"How could I you know what could happen as well I do". I said

"Yeah, Now she is good go to the on-call room and sleep for a few hours". He said. 

"Wake me up if anything changes". I said

"Sure". He said and patting me on the back I made my way to the on-call room and laid down on the bed and went to sleep.

Hey, sorry this is an short and late chapter I just didnt have much for this chapter  the next one is gonna be interesting and good. next one will be in Mid-June. I have exams and gotta focus lol. 5 june to 12 june i wont be available at all.
