Chapter 9

(I do not know how the schools in Australia look like or what happens in the year 8 so I will just use my own experiences from year 8, aka, 8th grade.)

Jordan's point of view

"Jordan, princess, it's time to get up for school." Someone said and I groaned, ignoring their attempts to wake me up. "J, it's time for school. I know it sucks but you have to go."

"Let me drop out and become a drug dealer," I mumbled and he laughed. He yanked the blanket off of me and I curled up into a ball.

"Does anyone wear shirts to bed anymore or what? Jesus christ." He said and I pulled the blanket over me again. "No, go get dressed. Ashton is cooking you breakfast. You better hurry up before he finishes."

"Urgh fine," I groaned and sat up, causing him to pat my head as if I was a dog. I practically growled at the action and he pulled his hand away.

"Go get dressed." He said and I nodded. I heard the door open and close and I sighed. I really have to pee. So, I went to the bathroom and did my business. When I finished, I washed my hands and my face.

When I was awake, I brushed my hair out and then left it down. I grabbed my contacts and then put some in because there was no way I was going to school with my glasses. I look like a moron with my glasses.

I went to my closet and grabbed a pair of black skinny jeans, my Pierce The Veil shirt, and a pair of my black and white converse. I threw the outfit on and then grabbed my backpack. I slung it over my shoulder and then went to my desk.

I opened my jewelry box and grabbed my yin and yang necklace and then put it on. I put in my black circle earrings and then stuffed my phone in my back pocket.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen and took a seat at the table. "Morning sunshine." Michael said and I grumbled out a greeting. "Someone not a morning person?"

"You have absolutely no idea." I said and bit my lip where my piercing should be. "I despise early mornings." I told him.

"Same." He said and took a drink of whatever he had in his glass. Knowing him, it's some fruit juice, alcoholic beverage, or hot tea. He doesn't drink coffee.

"Good morning." Ashton chirped and I sighed. Is everyone in here a morning person or are they all faking? There is no way these boys have happy mornings like this. Especially on a Monday.

"Stop being so happy, it's the ass crack of dawn." Someone yawned out and I agreed as Ashton set a plate of eggs and toast in front of me. I thanked him and he just nodded.

I took a bite of my toast and then leaned back as I closed my eyes. "Oh don't you dare fall asleep missy. It is hell to wake you up and I am not going to do it again." Calum's voice sounded.

"I'm not." I said as I munched on my piece of toast. "I'm merely enjoying this toast. How did you know I loved strawberry jam?" I asked.

"I didn't. It's just Chelsea likes strawberry jam on her's so..." Michael said and I nodded. "We didn't know if you'd like vegemite so we used that."

"I don't, thank god its not on my toast. Last time I ate it, I threw it up." I said and opened my eyes as I wiped my hands on a napkin.

"You are no longer my kid. You can move in with Michael's girlfriend." Ashton told me and I just laughed. "Vegemite is my life."

"Your life sucks." I told him and then pushed my eggs around. I dipped them in tye ketchup and then ate some. "Who's going to pick me up?" I asked aftet I swallowed.

"I am." Luke said and I nodded. "Everyone else had business to attend to." He told me and I nodded again. "Calum has a seperate interview, Michael has song-writing again, and Ashton has a meeting with management."

"Hurry up and eat so you can go and brush your teeth. It's almost time to go." Ashton rushed me and I nodded, eating a bit faster. "Don't forget your phone and don't get it taken away."

"I won't." I said and he nodded, giving me a pointed look. "I promise. I'm like a ninja. I can sneak it past them."

"Or you can pay attention so you can graduate, unlike we did." Ashton told me and the others laughed. "Sounds like a plan?"

"Look what dropping out gave you, a chance to live your dream. If that happens to me, lord knows how fast I'll drop it." I said and he chuckled.

"Not everyone gets lucky, just remember that."

-

"Jordan." Someone called and I looker around. I soon saw Timothy walking up to me. "Hey," he said and smiled. I gave him a wave and he nodded at me to follow him inside.

"We're literally matching, all the way down to yin and yang." He said and I looked at him. He wasn't wrong. We literally had the same thing on, besides for our bracelets and design on our shirt.

"Stop stalking me," I teased and pushed him away. He laughed and told me the same thing, pushing me slightly. "You're mean." I pouted.

"You did that do me though, so that makes you mean too." He told me and I nodded, laughing just a bit. "We're both mean then." He told me and I nodded.

"Sounds fair." I told him and soin, a few guys walked up to him. "Hey," I said, though I didn't know them at all.

"Dude, what happened to no chicks?" A guy with a black snapback on asked and then he looked at me. "Sorry babe, but dudes only."

"What are you? Seven years old? It's fine. Besides, she's not girly and annoying like a lot of girls. She's like one of us." Timothy said. "Besides, she's new here. Let her hang with us."

"If I'm bothering you guys, I can leave. I don't need to stick around." I told him and Timothy shook his head. "Are you sure?" I asked and he nodded.

"It's fine, he's just not used to being around girls." A guy in a grey beanie told me. "I'm Christian." He told me and held a hand out.

"Jordan." I said and shook his hand. "Might I say, I love your shirt. Green Day are amazing." I told him and he smiled at me.

"I like you, you can stay." He told me and I laughed, thanking him. "Anyways, while these two sort their feelings out, can I show you to your homeroom?"

"Yeah sure, thanks." I said and we walked away while the two talked to each other. "My homeroom is the same as Timothys'."

"Then you have the same class as all of us. Me and Taylor have this class too." He told me and I nodded. "Taylor is the one who got butthurt that Timothy was with you."

"Hey guys! You left us!" Someone said and then an arm was slung over my shoulder as they hopped beside me. "You left me for this loser, why?" Timothy asked.

"You were too busy acting like an old married couple with um Taylor." I said and he pouted. "Don't pout, you look like a child." I said and then someone tapped on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I was probably a little rude. It's just, it's always been us three and we said no girls when we were kids. However, you seem cool from what Timmy told me." Taylor said and I nodded.

"Don't worry, I understand." I told him and he smiled. "Truce?" I asked and held a hand out. He took it hesitantly and we shook hands.

"Come in class." An annoyed voice said and I looked up. My eyes met strangely familiar green ones and he smiled. "You must be Jordan, step inside and stand against the board young lady."

I did as he said and I giggled a bit at Taylor's worried expression. "I would have thought you'd be used to being in trouble. You seem like the type." I told him.

"You judge too early, though you are correct. I was just afraid that I got you in trouble so fast and you'd hate me." He told me and I laughed as he took a seat and I leaned against the whiteboard.

The whole class filed in and I fidgeted a bit. I felt strange having all these eyes on me. I was tugging on the hem of my shirt and pulling my jeans up just incase they looked like they were falling.

"Class, this is our new student. I am Mr. Kings and will be your homeroom teacher for the rest of the school year. Please tell us your name and a few things about you." The teacher said.

"Um my name is Jordan Irwin and I love skateboarding. I also enjoy playing the guitar and sometimes, reading books." I said and the teacher told me to sit down.

I took a seat beside Taylor because the seat was free and he chuckled quietly. "Skateboarding, reading, and music... you'll fit in just fine with us." He told me and I smiled, thanking him.

The teacher wasn't looking so I pulled my phone out and hid it behind the body in front of me. I typed my password in and then texted Timothy.

'I'm bored and hate algebra, entertain me.' I texted him and Taylor just shook his head at me as I turned my phone off and then put it in my jean's pocket.

I have a feeling school was going to be great now that I've met the three boys.

-

It was PE and I didn't know what to do. Everyone was working out and running laps, but I had no idea which I was supposed to do. Was I supposed to run first? Or was I supposed to do these sit-up and push-ups first?

"Timothy?" I asked and he hummed. He looked up from his push-up stance and waited for me to answer. "What am I supposed to be doing?" I asked and he stood up.

"Just like those two dweebs, you can run to stregthen your legs. You can stay here and do push-ups and such like I am. Or, if you're up for screaming and laughter, go play volleyball and basketball with those girls." He told me and grabbed a jump rope.

"Grab me one too?" He nodded and tossed me a red jump rope. "I bet I can do more." I told him and he laughed. He agreed to the challenge and we both started jumping on the count of three.

"You're jumping backwards." I laughed out as he went further and further away from me. "Oh my god." I said and he soon started coming forward again.

"I never could jump straight." He said and I agreed, noticing how I was jumping around in a circle. I threw my head back and then I heard a laugh.

"Timothy! You're getting smoked by a girl!" Christain's familiar voice laughed out and I nodded. Timithy shook his head as he looked down, to make sure he doesn't mess up.

"Fail! Fail! Fail!" Taylor shouted at Timothy and I laughed. I crossed my arms and continued doing so. "She got tricks Timmy!" Taylor cheered and soon he was running away from us with Christian.

"Dammit, I can't do this." Timothy gasped and then stopped. I poked my tongue out at him and went faster, hearing the rope whip in the air.

"What's my prize?" I asked him as I continued jumping, actually enjoying the excersize. "I mean, I did win." I teased and he shrugged his shoulders breathlese.

"I'll buy you an ice cream cone?" He asked me and I stopped. "A chocolate chip cookie dough one?" He suggested and I nodded.

"You know me so well forbarely meeting me a week ago," I said and he nodded, a smile on his lips as he panted for breath. "It's scary sometimes."

"Agreed."
