Chapter 6
(I made up the name of the school so yeah...)
Jordan's point of view
"Michael, can Chelsea help me with an outfit? I can't decide on what to wear." I told him and he nodded as he left my room. I looked through all my clothes and bit my lip.
"JJ, Michael said you had outfit troubles. How may I help?" I heard his girlfriend ask as the door shut. "What are you going to be doing?" She asked me as she looked through my clothes.
"They're enrolling me into school, and I didn't find out until like, an hour ago." I told her and she nodded as she looked through my outfit. "Please, don't try to make the girliest outfit you can find." I begged and she nodded.
"This looks so much like Michael's closet, how adorable." She said and I blushed. "You're like a mini him, except the hair color and the fact he doesn't have a lip piercing." She told me and I nodded. "What grade?" She asked me.
"Year eight." I said and she nodded. She looked through my closet and then started throwing things on my bed. A white button-up shirt was tossed out, my black leather skirt, a leather jacket, and then a pair of black boots.
"You'll look like Michael, and you'll look cute as hell." She said and I smiled. It ook the clothes and then went to my bathroom. I got dressed quickly and then walked out.
"It feels weird to have a skirt on." I said and she walked up to me. "I haven't had a skirt on in ages." I told her and she just laughed.
"Same sweetie, I'm not a huge fan of them, however, I may just buy one like yours." She told me and I smiled. "Tuck in your shirt in." She told me and I did as she said.
"Put your socks and shoes on while I go get something." She said and I nodded. She walked out of my room and I did as she said. As I was lacing up my last boot, she walked in again with a black tie in her hand.
"To think Michael would actually have a tie." I said and she laughed, agreeing with my statement. I pulled my collar up as she fixed the tie and then folded it down once she finished. "Am I allowed to have my piercings on?" I asked and she shrugged.
"Probably not sweetie." She told me and I sighed. "Let me help you with jewelry though. You have tons of cute necklaces." She told me and I agreed.
She grabbed a yin and yang chord necklace, a moon shaped mood chord necklace, and then a silver necklace with a guitar pendant on it. I put them on and then she grabbed my brush off of the nighstand.
"I love your hair." She told me and I thanked her. "You didn't hear this from me, but if you added some blue into it, it will look so pretty." She told me and I thought about it.
"Ashton wouldn't like it. He'd probably make me take it out." I told her and she shrugged, telling me he can't do anything about it or else he'd ruin my hair.
"Me and Michael can do it for you one day when Ashton is gone." She said and I laughed. "If you want us too." She added and I shrugged.
"You're rebellious, I like that." I said and she smiled. "I like you, and I may just take up that offer." I said and she laughed.
"You remind me of myself when I was younger, don't worry about it. When I was your age, I dyed my hair pink to go against my... parents' rules, and it was the best thing ever." She said and I nodded.
"Then one day, I'll allow you to dye my hair whatever color you think will look nice." I told her and she nodded as she left my hair the way it was.
"In a side fishtail braid or left down like this?" She asked me and I told her to leave it down. "You're finished." She said and I smiled. "Get your phone and then go down to the guys."
"Thank you so much Chelsea." I said and she just smiled, telling me not to worry about it. I grabbed my phone and turned it on, seeing I had a text message from Timothy, aka 'Timmy The Band King'.
'What'cha up to today?' He texted me and as I walked out of my room, I replied that I was getting myself enrolled into year eight at a school since I was new around here.
'Ooh, text me a photo or the name of the school. I wanna see if we get to be in the same school. I'm in year eight too.' He texted back and I told him I would.
"Ready to go?" Ashton asked me and I nodded as I put my phone in my pocket. "C'mon." He said and I nodded as I followed him out.
"You look good." Michael told me and I noticed we were wearing like the same thing, except he had a sleeveless shirt and skinny jeans.
"You too." I said and he laughed as we got into the car.
-
When we got to the school, I snapped a quick photo of the front where the name 'Jadalay's Middle School' was written on the top. I sent it to Timothy and told him this was the school I was getting enrolled at.
I stuffed my phone in my jacket pocket and then walked up to the school. "I hate how I can't wear my piercings. I mean, i got those for a reason." I said and Michael laughed.
"It's school, you can't do a lot of things in it. Besides, you're too young to even have a piercing anywhere but your ears." Ashton told me and I rolled my eyes.
"That's why I had a brother of a friend sign some papers to allow me to get these. He was legal, and allowed me to get them done." I said and smiled at Ashton's horrified expression. "All he wanted in return was for me to give him the money for the two, which I did, after saving up for my whole life I had enough."
"Cute story, where is he now?" Ashton asked and I shrugged. We walked into the school and you could hear out footsteps against the tiled floors.
"Hello, how may I help you?" A lady asked us after we found the main office. I think school was happening right now, but I was unsure of what day it was. Was it Wednesday? Or was it Saturday? I don't even know.
"We would like to enroll this little munchkin into year eight." Ashton said and I grimaced at the nickname. Michael stiffled a laugh and I pinched his leg.
"Name? Birthday? Age? Residence?" The lady asked Ashton and he answered them all as she wrote them down. "Any allergies? Any medication she needs to take regularly? Shots she hasn't gotten?"
"No allergies, no medication, and she's all caught up on her shots." Ashton said and I nodded. "She's fine." Ashton told her and she nodded.
"This is an emergancy contact card and we need the name of the hospital she was born in and a list of phone numbers to call in case of an emergency." She said and Ashton nodded as he started filling it out.
I pulled my phone out and leaned against the wall as I checked my messages. Timothy said he goes here and is actually in class right now. I chuckled, causing Michael to look over at me with a raised eyebrow and texted him back.
'Badass Timothy, and don't get caught. It's not my fault if you get your phone taken away.' I sent the message and Michael just gave me a knowing look.
"Who are you texting?" He asked me and I shook my head. "Hey, I bought you the phone, I have a right to know." He said with a pout.
"Okay fine," I said and motioned him to come here. "I met this girl at Hot Topic and we exchanged numbers and I'm texting her. She's in class and goes to this school." I said, not daring to say it was a guy. If I did, I'd be in deep shit.
"Props to her." He said and I agreed. "At least you'll know someone here. You won't be all alone." I nodded and then Ashton called Michael over.
I looked down and he had texted me back saying he won't and then a following one that said his teacher is suspicious of him. I shook my head and told him not to get caught again.
"Just fill out this packet and we'll be looking forward to seeing her at our school next week." She said and I looked up. Next week? So fast? Holy cheesepuffs.
"You two go to the car, I won't be too long." Ashton told us and we nodded. I walked out of the office and then a bell rang. I jumped and then Michael grabbed my wrist so I didn't get caught in the sea of kids.
We walked out and then went straight to the car. He opened the door for me and I got inside of the car. Michael climbed into the passenger seat and I leant forward.
"When do I get my school supplies since I'm started next week?" I asked and he chewed on his bottom lip. "I mean, I still need my other things."
"We can get it when we get your other things. Calum and Luke are taking you then while me and Ashton go song-writing." He said and I nodded.
"Ashton always has song-writing." I said and he nodded. "Is he like the best lyricist in the band or what?" I asked and Michael shrugged.
"We're all pretty good at writing lyrics, so I don't think so. I think it's just so he feels more needed in the band because you know how drummers seem to have the least amount of attention in the band." He told me and I nodded.
"Drummers are the backbone of the band and the band would literally fail without one. People who don't appreciate the drummer should be punched in the nose." I said and Michael nodded.
"Preach." He told me and I nodded as I opened the door and stood on the side of the car. "What are you doing?" He asked me.
"Preaching." I said and he rose an eyebrow at me. "Drummers are the backbone of the band and without them the band is nothing. People who don't appreciate the drummer should be punched in the nose!" I said loudly and a few people just stared at me.
"Jordan! What are you doing?" I heard someone ask and I saw Ashton walking towards the car. "Get inside and buckle up." He told me and I did as he said.
"She was preaching." Michael said with a laugh as Ashton got in to the driver's seat. I buckled up and Michael continued. "She was saying how drummers are the backbone of a band and those who don't appreciate them should be punched."
"Well..." Ashton said and I rose an eyebrow at him. "She's not wrong." He finished and I laughed along with Michael. "We are pretty important."
"Some drummers are really hot too, they don't get enough credit for that." I said and the two boys gave me a glare through the rearview mirror. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry. I was just saying." I said, apologizing to them.
