Chapter 47

Jordan's point of view

I stood in front of my closet, looking for something to wear. I grabbed the shirt Timothy had grabbed for me the day we met, a pair of destroyed skinny jeans, and my black combat boots.

I changed into it quickly and put on my choker necklace and piercings. I left my hair down and then put on my strawberry flavored chapstick because that was the only one I had.

I grabbed my backpack and then ran downstairs. I grabbed the grilled cheese Chelsea had made for me and then thanked her. "I'm glad you're in a good mood today sweetheart." She said.

"I'm trying." I said and she nodded. I really was. I didn't want to be sad today. I was trying not to be sad today. "Morning Chrissy-boo." I said and he laughed.

"What's got you so hyper this morning?" He asked me and I shrugged. "Get a new boyfriend?" He asked me and I laughed.

"Ew, no. Guys are jerks." I said and he pouted. "You're not a jerk, neither is Taylor, but James and Timothy are." I said and he nodded.

"I don't even know what the hell I did. It's just he's been ignoring all my texts and calls and he won't talk to me. It's like I have a disease or something." He said and I laughed.

"Come on kids, finish eating and brush your teeth, you still have school today." Chelsea said. "Oh, and Jordan, your birthday, we gotta talk about that later." She said and I laughed.

"Okay."

-

I walked into the school with Christian but as soon as I saw Timothy, my mood dropped drastically. Before my smile could fully fall, I plastered a fake one on and then fixed my bracelets.

"Jordan, what's up?" Taylor asked asked he walked over. I stayed quiet as I watched Timothy and James. I looked at him and then noticed he was wearing the shirt I had picked out for him when we first met aswell.

He looked at me, then he looked at Taylor. He rolled his eyes and then continued laughing with James. "Are you okay?" Taylor asked me and I shook my head.

"No, I feel like I'm gonna cry." I said and he gave me a hug. My phone buzzed and I pulled it out, careful not to get caught.

'I hope you're fucking happy with him'

I sighed and put my phone away. I buried my face in Taylor's chest and then the bell rang. I didn't want it to ring yet. I needed his comforting hug. I needed to cry a bit before class started. I didn't want to go to class yet.

"Come on, we have to get to class Jordan." Taylor told me and I nodded. I walked to class with him since Chris had wandered and we took our seat. "Do you need my jacket? It's bigger and you can like hide your face with the sleeves on it."

I nodded and he handed it to me. I put it on and then put my head down as he rubbed my back. I didn't want to be sad today. I didn't want to cry over him today. But look at me now. I'm crying over him. I'm sad.

He was literally my everything. When Ashton was pissy, he was there for me. When Taylor was missing, he was there for me. When I had first self-harmed, he was there for me. When I first came to this school, he was there for me so I didn't feel alone. He made me happy and he made me feel good about myself.

He made me happy and he made me forget about my terrible past. He kept me from doing really stupid things and now he doesn't even want me in his life. He's gone and it is actually all my fault. I should have pushed him away and I shouldn't have been so close to Taylor.

"Ms. Irwin, head up please." The teacher said and I did as he said. I wiped my eyes with the sleeves of the jacket and then looked up. "Are you alright? Do you need to step out for a second to calm down?"

"May-May I?" He nodded and I stood up. I left the class room and stood in a part of the hallway you couldn't see from any classroom window. I sinked down to the floor and cried into the sleeves of the jacket.

My chest hurt so much. He promised me he wouldn't leave me and he promised me he wouldn't get upset over mine and Taylor's close friendship. He knew I wouldn't cheat on him, so I don't understand why he would think that. I don't understand why he was literally so confident I was with his best friend.

I rubbed my eyes and then covered my face with my sleeve covered hands. I put my head down and I heard a rather masculine voice. "All you alright?"

"No."

"What's the matter?" He asked and I looked up. "Is it something I can help with?" He asked, his British accent thick.

"No, um, it's not." I said and he nodded. The boy I didn't know pulled me in for a hug and despite being told strangers are dangerous, I leaned into his touch.

"It's gonna be alright," he told me and I sniffled. "Nothing lasts forever yeah? You'll feel better in no time. I promise you." He said and I thanked him. "I'm Shaun," he said and smiled. Woah, he has deep dimples.

"I'm Jordan." I said and he helped me up. "Thanks for the um, hug." I told him with a blush and he chuckled. "I really needed that." I said honestly.

"It's fine," he said. "Which class are you in?" He asked me and I pointed to Peter's class. "Let me take you to it then, if you're feeling okay now. If not, we can stay out here and little longer."

"It's okay, I'm fine." I said and he nodded. He grabbed my hand and then walked me towards the class that was barely a few feet away. He opened the door and I thanked him.

"It's okay," he repeated what I said from earlier and smiled. He closed the door after I walked in and Taylor smiled at me. Peter asked if I was okay now and I nodded.

I sat down and Taylor nudged me. "Who was that Jordan?" He asked me and I wiped my eyes. "He's cute."

"That's um Shaun, I think he's new here, which is strange because it's like the end of school." I said and he agreed. "And yeah, he is cute."

"Ooh, Jordan's got a new boy toy."

"Shut up Taylor."

-

"Hey, um Jordan, can you help me?" I heard a British accent and I hummed. I turned around and saw Shaun. "Can you show me where the library is?"

"It was just about to head there." I told him and he smiled. "Follow me." I said and he nodded. We made our way to the library and I looked at the brunette. "Are you new here?"

"Yeah. Our move was quite abrupt. It's quite weird seeing as its almost the end of the school year." He said and I laughed, nodding. "But in Australia, I've been here for about three months."

"How do you like it here?" I asked and he smiled, telling me it was a lot different from England and that he liked it a lot. "I'm glad to hear." I told him and he laughed.

"I love your hair." He told me and I blushed. "You don't see girls with blue hair very often. It really suits you." He said.

"Thank you." I told him and opened the door to the library for us. "I like the shirt. You listen to Nirvana?" I asked him and he nodded quickly.

"I love them. My favorite song is 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night' and 'Lithium'." He said excitedly and the librarian shushed him. He muttered an apology and I smiled, chuckling quietly.

"'Lithium' is one of my favorites aswell, along with 'Heart Shaped Box' and 'Come As You Are'." I told him and he told me he loved those songs aswell.

"Have you ever read this book?" He asked me quietly, showing me the book 'Paper Towns' by John Green. I nodded and he flipped through it. "Is it good?"

"Very." I answered and we took a seat at a table. "You're going to read it?" I asked him and he nodded. I chuckled and he smiled as he opened the book. I pulled my notebook out and then grabbed my pen.

"Do you have a phone Jordan?" He asked me and I nodded. "Can I have your number or is that asking too much?" He asked and I laughed quietly. I grabbed his arm and then wrote my number down on it.

"You're a dork." I told him and he smiled and nodded as he fixed his beanie. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I was so grateful someone's chair scraped against the tiles right as it did.

I pulled it out and then looked at it. I saw Taylor texted me, asking where I was. I told him I was in the library with Shaun and he told me to get some.

"Teacher's coming, hide the phone." Shaun said and I put it away quickly. A teacher walked over and I began writing random things on my notebook paper

"Thank you." I said and he just nodded as he turned the page in his book.

-

"So, what do you want to do for your birthday?" Chelsea asked me as we walked into the house. "Go out for dinner? Go to the park? An amusement park?"

"Can we have a barbecue and a bon fire?" I asked and she thought about it. She nodded and I smiled. "And can my friends come over?" I asked and she nodded.

"That sounds perfect." She told me and I thanked her. "What kind of cake would you like? There are so many kinds we could get." She said and I bit my bottom lip.

"Instead of buying it, can we bake it?" I asked her and she looked at me. "We can bake a bunch of cakes and then just buy icing and ice cream and stuff. It'll be fun." I said.

"You don't want and professionally made cake?" She asked and I shook my head. "Well, if that's shat you want we could do that. And present wise, what would you like so I can start shopping?" She asked me.

"Band members."

Christian laughed and Chelsea shook her head. "We cannot buy Austin Carlile okay? Just stop." Chelsea said and I laughed after I pouted.

"What about a Gera-"

"No."

"Okay then." I said and Chelsea shook her head amused. "Um... there's not much I really want that can be bought." I said and she sighed. "Maybe... Maybe a fridge for my room." I joked and she sighed.

"You know what? I'll wing the birthday gifts." She said and I laughed. "Go do your homework kids. I have to plan this all out and call some people." She said and I nodded.

"Come on, I need your help. Boy crisis." Christian told me and I nodded. He took me to his room and I took a seat on his bed. "Okay, so um I want to take James out on like a date and talk to him about all of the shit that's going on right now between us and to show him show special he is to me but where and what do I do?"

"Something simple because he's James, he likes simple and casual things. Have a picnic, a movie marathon between the two of you, take him to an arcade, something simple." I told him.

"Problem, neither of us can drive so how do I do this without looking like a fucking idiot?" He asked me and I thought about it.

"You can either have him meet you there, walk their after school which ensures more alone time, or have Chelsea pick him up and drop you two off there." I said and he nodded.

"You're the best." He said to me and I thanked him. "Go do something else somewhere else, I have planning to do."

I rolled my eyes and then left his room. My phone buzzed and I looked at it. It was from Shaun, and I knew it because he told me it was him.

I smiled and then texted him as I went up to my room. I ran into the door and groaned. Stupid door. I walked into my room and jumped on the bed, laying down. I smiled and then texted Shaun, unaware I'd spend all day talking to him.

| Who thinks they know why I just added Shaun into this book? Whoever guesses the closest I'll dedicate the next chapter to. |
