His reaction was exactly as I predicted.  He just laughed in my face and tried to convince me that it was just a coincidence. And I believed him. I was just paranoid and sleep deprived.

The next few weeks were horrible. Nothing new happened,  but all of us were still on edge. And I refused to be alone for time periods longer than an hour or two and I couldn't stay alone without my dog.

We took down my twitter and instagram accounts and the moment we did all of the commotion and stalking stopped. Or at least we had no way to know if it was still happening, which was comforting and unnerving at the same time.

Tonight was the first night that I was staying home alone since the incident. Nobody wanted to leave me but they had no choice. My dad had to take Mark and Jackson to a fancy dinner with their agents tonight a couple of hours away, so they wouldn't be home until early in the morning. And then Mama and Joey had to go to Joey's debate competition which is also a couple of hours away in the opposite direction.  I couldn't go with either of them because these events were planned before they knew I was coming, so my only option was staying home alone.

The police were coming to check on my later on, but I still didn't feel safe.
Not quite...

I fell asleep on the couch in the living room while watching tv and was woken up to the sound of a crash that came from upstairs.  Frederick started barking immediately as I stayed frozen in place. I grabbed my phone and just as I was about to dial 911, there was a knock at the door. I jumped up and flew to the door unlocking it and yanking it open to reveal officer Keeler.

"Is everything all right miss Mason?"

"No!" I half screamed as I grabbed her arm and pulled her inside the house. "I just heard a loud crash upstairs,  and I think someone is in the house..."

She slowly walked up the stairs, one hand on her gun, towards my bedroom where the sound came from.

I state downstairs on the couch holding onto Frederick.

"Mason, you might want to see this." Officer Keeler called down.

I set Frederick down on the ground and hurried upstairs.

The second I looked into my room, I pretty much lost it.

It was trashed. My dresser was smashed on the ground, mattress flipped over, books and clothes scattered every where. To make things worse my walls were covered in pictures. Pictures...of me. Old ones of myself that I had never seen before, and places too. And then there were also new ones, like the pictures from twitter. Another strange thing was that one half of my closet was on the floor while the other half of my clothes were missing, along with my bedding and my giant Stuffed dog...

"Oh...My...God..."

"Mason...grab Frederick now. We're leaving... Now! Go!" I ran downstairs and grabbed my coat, phone and charger, and the dog as officer Keeler followed right behind me.

We ran outside after I locked the fr on door and got into her police car.

"I'm going to get you somewhere safe this time." She said as we pulled away from the house.

"What...what do you mean...?"

"Well... I guess its about time I tell you everything.  About 6 or 7 years ago I was working a kidnapping case with things happening exactly like the ones that have been happening to you. My partner and I found the kidnapper and his hide out. I even found the child he was keeping in his cellar, locked in a cage. But we never waited for backup before searching the grounds,  so it was just my partner and I. The kidnapper shot my partner while he was keeping watch and while I found the child. But the kidnapper found me too and hit me on the back of the head knocking me out. By the time I regained consciousness,  He was gone, and he room the child with him. I now know, Mason, that that child was you. I found you, but I wasn't fast enough. I failed you. But I won't this time...not again."

It all made sense now...why she was familiar...the dream...my suspicions about her. I finally understood.

But I had no idea what to say.

We pulled up to a stoplight and just sat in silence.

When the light turned green we started forward, but a car...another police car...to the left of us didn't stop for the red light and kept going...straight into us at full speed.

------

There was screaming, and crunching and twisting of metal, heat, and metal. I smelt sulfur, and felt sick. Everything happened so fast. I felt blood trickling down my face.

Then I felt someone open my door and pull me out.

Oh thank God. Officer Keeler was okay.

They held me in their arms and began to walk away.

"Officer Keeler...what's happening...where are you going?"

I was answered with a harsh, familiar voice. "Oh Mason, She's dead. But don't worry you're safe now. Its time to go home. Oh and did you like all the pictures I left you?"

I didn't even have time to scream before my air was cut off and I couldn't breath.
