A petty argument which almost resulted in a criminal's death results in Lloyd leaving the team, only for them to regret it when their former leader is kidnapped by the criminal's children, who demand their father in 3 days, or they will kill the Green Ninja, and his blood will be on their hands.

The team was silent when they returned to the monastery, glad their mission was a success, except for one. They all complimented Lloyd for the success, except for one, who confronts him in the living room as he was watching the news on their accomplishment. "How could you be so stupid, Lloyd?!" Cole asked, shutting the TV off. "That guy could've been killed had he been in his car!"

"It's not my fault that I didn't know there was explosives in the back!" Lloyd replied, both unaware that their teammates were eavesdropping on them. "Besides, we don't have to worry about him anymore."

"You nearly killed a man, Garmadon! You shouldn't have been the Green Ninja in the first place!"

"You know what? If you think I shouldn't have been the Green Ninja, you should've had me thrown in Kryptarium Prison! I lost my childhood being with you, and your loser friends! As of today, I... Lloyd Garmadon, am done! You can go back to being leader without me in your way."

"Fine, that's the best news I've ever heard!" Cole immediately barged out of the room, ignoring the shocked expressions on his friends before Lloyd growled, still angry about the argument, turned to the TV, and fired an Energy blast at it, completely destroying it.

The following morning, Lloyd, wearing a simple white jacket, black shirt, brown jeans and grey sneakers, carries a rucksack over his shoulders as he walked away from the monastery, ignoring Kai, Jay, Zane, Nya, Wu and P.I.X.A.L.'s pleas.

"You started this mess, Cole!" Jay yelled at his best friend.

"It wasn't my choice to make him leave." Cole replied. "He's a big boy."

"Don't you care about him anymore?" Nya asked. "He's back on the streets, just like the day we met him."

"You go find him, and don't come back until you do!" Kai yelled.

"Kai is correct." Wu said, agreeing with the Red Ninja. "We all make mistakes, and learn from them."

"Whatever." Cole simply replied before walking away.

A group of people, including two individuals wearing black clothing with hoods over their heads, were outside an electronics store, watching the TVs on display as Gayle Gossip was on the TV by the train station. "Lloyd Garmadon, the Green Ninja, was last seen getting on a train to Stiix, not wearing his ninja suit." Gayle Gossip said. "Could this mean the end of the Green Ninja? If so, what is the reason for our favourite hero to abandon Ninjago City?"

"Guess we get our chance." One of the men in black said to the other, who nods before they both leave.

Lloyd had rented himself in an apartment in Stiix from Ronin and was unpacking until he came across a photo of the team. He picked it up, regretting that he took it with him before immediately igniting his hand with his Energy which instantly burnt the photo.

Lloyd, wearing overalls with a black t-shirt and black boots, guts a fish while not looking at Cole. "I didn't choose to leave, you forced me." He said, getting the guts out of the fish before throwing it in a cooler. "And this is my life now. Leave me alone."

"Lloyd, I don't care." Cole replied. "Come back with me, or I'll force you." Lloyd grabs a nearby bucket, filled with the fish guts, and hurls it at him, covering him in fish guts. "Fine."

As he starts to walk away, the two individuals see Cole walking away, groaning from smelling like fishes, and make their move. One grabs hold of Lloyd in a chokehold while another gets out a syringe. "Let go of me!"

Cole, who heard the sound, notices the two individuals, and rushes back. "Hey, let him go!" He yelled.

He pushes down the individual with the syringe and tries to punch the one holding Lloyd, but he quickly ducked down while getting out a knife, and slashes Cole's hip, causing him to shriek in pain before the individual he knocked out raises a leg, kicking his wound, causing him to stumble back and trip. The individual then stuck the syringe into Lloyd's neck, and injects the contents of the syringe, rendering him unconscious.

"They took him."* Cole was heard as the two individuals drag Lloyd, no longer wearing his overalls which exposes his green boxers before coming up to a chair.

Cole was sitting in hospital, bandage on his wound. "I tried to stop them, but they were too quick."

The individuals remove their hoods to show a teenaged boy and girl. "I am Jerry, and this is my sister, Terry." The teen boy said, kneeling down to the bound Lloyd. "You know why we took you. Don't you?"

Lloyd immediately realised. "Your father." He replied.

"Hear me now, Ninja." Jerry said on the TV, showing a dagger to Lloyd's neck. "Release our father, Perseus Watts, and we let your friend go. If not, we will send every piece of him, and by the end of the week, his blood will be on your hands."

The Ninja look at a bloody dagger on the table. "They already sounded Lloyd." Cole said. "We have to give them Watts."

A middle aged man, wearing an ankle bracelet, stares at the Ninja. "Creepy." Jay whispered to Kai.

"Would you care to do the honours, dad?" Terry asked, handing him a revolver before he aims it to Lloyd's head.

A gunshot rings out.
