Author's POV

Kidou's eyes widened in shock.His look mixed with fear,confusion and shock mixed in his expression.His body trembled.He felt like he betrayed.Like he betrayed the one thing that mattered most.

He looked around him darkness surrounding him.He gritted his teeth as he clenched his fists in pure anger.

He failed.

His teammates all fallen on the floor.He felt worthless,pointless he fell to his knees.His eyes shaking as he looked at his team on the ground all injured in one way or another.

"Heh,so this is what the great Teikoku team can do?"Kidou turned around at the source of the voice.

R/C/N stood there a grimacing look his hands on his hip a sly smirk on his face.As he looked down at the goggled dread lock boy.Kidou ignored not even bothering to look at him.

"No wonder they lost with a guy like you as their captain."R/C/N mocked walking off.

Kidou looked up to the score board.4-0

Teikoku lost to R/S/N 4 to 0.They weren't even able to score a single goal is what pained Kidou the most.He was the captain of Teikoku the number one team in all japan winner of the football frontier nationals 40 years in a row.

He looked lost.Lost in a pit of disapointment.He was disappointed in himself that he couldn't lead his team to victory.

AUTHOR'S POV

Kidou walked through the halls of Teikoku.He stood firm although he was just told that Commander needed to see him urgently.

He still didn't get over the past match.It was too overwhelming.He lowered his head in shame remembering the pass events.

He reached the door giving it a gentle knock.

"Come in."He heard a deep voice say which obviously was Kageyama.

He hesitated for a second but opened it after a bit slowly after taking a deep breath he entered the room.

"Kidou Yuuto."Kageyama spoke glaring daggers into the poor boy.His head resting on his palm his expression as dark and mean as ever.

"Yes?"Kidou said a little uncomfortable with the dark atmosphere surrounding the room.

Kageyama slammed his hand on the table anger written all over his face.

"You lost."Was all he said looking straight at the dread lock haired boy.Kidou lowered his head.

Kageyama clicked his fingers catching KIdou's attention who looked up.

A figure walked towards them the goggled boy couldn't see who it was exactly.The darkness covered him.

Slowly by slowly the so called stranger walked out of the shadows.

"S-sakuma?"Kidou asked looking at his eye patched team mate.Sakuma gave him a small smile before standing to the right of Kageyama.

Putting back on his serious expression.His hands behind his back as he stood tall.

"Kidou."Kageyama spoke catching Kidou's attention who snapped out of his thoughts and looked towards him.

"Yes?"Kidou asked looking at him in the eye.

"Sorry to say but-"He paused for a while sighing deeply closing his eyes.

Kidou gulped at the tension.Kageyama opened his eyes looking at him.

"Your no longer the captain of this team."He stated with no trouble at all.

Kidou's flinched hearing him.

"E-excuse me?"He asked hoping he heard wrong.

"Your no longer the captain of Teikoku."He repeated strictly.Kidou's eyes widened in shock.

"B-but-"Kidou stuttered but Kageyama continued talking.

"You couldn't do your job as a captain for one match even.You have no use to this team what so ever.If a captain can't lead his team what use is he?"Kageyama clarified.

He motioned towards Sakuma.

"Sakuma Jirou will be the new captain of Teikoku."He told him seriously.Sakuma had his head lowered he didn't want to do this.He gave kidou a sad smile.He had no choice but to do this.

Kidou gave Kageyama a look of disbelief who kept his plain expression.

He turned on his heel anger filling in him he walked out of the door.Slamming it closed behind him.

Kidou locked himself in his room.He didn't want to face anyone again.His room was filled with broken furniture and antiques.

He was mad really mad.

"Tch."He kicked his ball to the other side of the room.The a knock on his door was heard.But he ignored it completely looking down at his magazine.

"Kidou."He turned around to see the one person he didn't want to see today.Kageyama Reiji.He didn't even look back to him.

"What do you want?"He said bitterly his back still turned.

"Look-"He started but Kidou turned to him his expression filled with anger and rage.

"I don't care what you have to say!I gave up everything for this!And when I lose one match you push me down?!All I wanted was to play soccer and be with my sister again!CAN'T I JUST BE A CAPTAIN IN MY OWN WAY!"Kidou shouting he was on the edge of breaking down but the pain and rage never allowed him to.

Kageyama's words got stuck in his throat who could blame him.Kidou has never been like this for all those years.Kidou seeing he had nothing to say turned back around.

"Leave."He said in one breath.

Kageyama sighed turning around but smirked when he reached the door handle.

"That's all I wanted to hear."He said touching the door knob.Kidou turned around confused.

"A captain in your own way.That's the type of way that suits you.Your position as the captain is open."Kageyama said before walking out leaving the dread lock haired in utter shock.

Kidou sighed sitting down a small smile stretching on his lips.He held his soccer ball in his hands.

"A captain in my own way huh?"
