HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY~
—-
A certain child's mind wonders back to the days when she was first adopted.
She thought it was the best memory she ever had.
Being adopted by a rich woman.
But being adopted can have it's own flaws.
It makes little Norami wonder why would she choose her over the rest. There were prettier ones and kind and sweet ones too. She wasn't really loved much when she was a little toddler, she mostly picked up fights with men and stood up to girls because some cannot carry their own feet and needs encouragement and the motivation—oh wait, she can be a bit heroic she thought.
The children were lined up, Norami being at the far bit to the left, as the new visitor arrives, her high heels cackling against the waxed wooden planks. The girl herself wasn't ready for the visit, her face slightly disoriented with dirt and a bruise was forming from the unfriendly rough housing to the ground fight recently. Her blue overalls drenched with dirt and bits of grass blends in her hair. The sister scolds her gently about this but didn't have to even prepare.
Norami looking down the floor, quiet and uninterested until a shadow looms over her and the high heels stopped walking.
She looks up with confidence and confusion, seeing the visitor. She has the shiniest blond hair she ever seen, besides being a brute of a girl she loves colors and art. Her dress was in vanilla brown color, hugging her curves perfectly, her seemingly long hair was clipped with elegant small detailed designs and her eyes both red and blue.
She's pretty, Norami mentally says to herself.
The lady looks down at her intimately, it may look frightening, and yes it is to the little pony-tailed haired girl, but she didn't dare to show it.
The blonde goddess kneels down to her level, her dress allowing her to do such restrains, her well-groomed nailed hand reaches out and touches the little child's cheek.
Her thumb tenderly rubs all the dirt away, making Norami wince at the action and close her one eye cutely.
The lady chuckles and looks up to the sister beside her. "She's the one. I'm adopting this one." Her voice was sickly sweet but tender.
Norami can tell that the other children were shocked.

One can say that Norami Versalles was lucky enough to be adopted.
But....
The latter cannot help but hate her own mother.
More than how much she loves her.
It seems rude, shocking even, but also obvious.
Norami had everything she ever wanted as a child.
Toys, drawing materials for her past time, three day healthy meal, a warm bubble bath and the playing grounds she can hope to play in.
But never her mother's heart.
She wasn't spoiled but she can't seem to get her own mother.
Norami's mother was a woman of business. She didn't have time to stay around and be with her own daughter and never sees her eye to eye. The daughter also hears rumors about her being a slut sometimes, leading random men into her dwelling and do inappropriate things.
It was unhealthy for the child growing up.
But her mother was sure to keep it a secret from her...until one can realize that secrets are mean to be broken and open.
Growing up, each birthday, Norami would go out of her large room to see idols of her favorite sports, it would be tennis and boxing. Heck, she even puts up models of the players and buys fake trophies.
It kind of annoys and disgusts Norami.
She declared that her mother was indeed weird and strange.
She hated her mother.
But she didn't say that she didn't love her mother.

Norami Shizuko Versalles.
A full grown, confident, strong lady.
Stands before a grave.
Under the pouring rain.
It was strange, yet she knew that this would happen.
Her mother just died.
It was sad.
It really saddens the daughter, her heart dragged her down.
She never really cries, but if she did. Her tears will blend with the sad rain.
It just so occurred to her that today was Mother's Day too.
All this time.
She never gave her a personal gift of her own.
Only obligatory chocolates and visits every year.
It seemed enough for the aging mother.
But Norami didn't care to hear her side of the arrangement.
Her balled left hand grips on the letter that her mother gave her, her last words were written in that paper.
Only for her.
Here lies Yuki Versalles
A wonderful, strong, confident lady.
XXX-XXX
Her tears started flowing out again.
Her heart suddenly crushes, paining her.
I'm sorry.
"Happy Mother's Day, mom." Norami whispers under her teary face and kisses the concrete of the grave, as if thinking it was her mother's forehead.
"I love you."
"With all my heart."
With that she left.
'If I can take a blade of grass of any kind.
I would say, I don't need more grass.
I have one.
The beautiful hair that Mother Nature bestowed upon on.
I am rich, yes.
But no money can take this treasure away from me.
Just like the green nature, I'll take care of her.
I love you, Norami.
-Love, your mother, Yuki'
