Rebekah's parents were teenagers when they had her, her father was a straight As student from El Salvador and went under a program where they let him go to school in the US due to his excellent grades. Javier was put in a prestigious school where he met Morgana, they became really close friends and soon began to date, but one day they decided to do the devil's tango, of course they used protection and they enjoyed it, so they continued to sleep with each other, but one day they did it without protection.
Morgana and Javier obviously freaked out, but especially Javier because if the school were to find out he was the father, they'd send him back to El Salvador, so he begged Morgana not to tell anyone that his child, but he would help her during the pregnancy since Morgana didn't believe in abortion. Morgana, being the kind hearted girl agreed to Javier's idea, so they told Morgana's  parents after two months, obviously they weren't so pleased to their idea and they told the school board, which they kicked out Javier from their school and send him back to his home.
Morgana was left depressed, she blamed herself for her boyfriend's return to his home. But she had to pull herself together. Morgana knee she couldn't raise a baby by herself nor did she wanted a baby in her life as selfish as it sounds, she decided to search up people who wanted to adopt a child, after hours of searching, she came across to Sawyer and Damian, she contact them both and planned to meet them soon, they gladly agreed to the offer.
When the couple met the teenage girl they felt pity for her, but they knew she was a good kid by heart. Now with Morgana, she instantly fell in love with the couple, she loved how sweet and caring they were to her, and she knew she wanted someone like them to raise her daughter, but of course it wasn't her place to ask, she jus needed to spend more time with them to see if they were willing enough to adopt and raise her daughter.
It took a while for the married couple to decide if they wanted Morgana's child, but at the end, they chose her. Damian and Sawyer also met Morgana's parents, and by the grace of God, they were opened of the idea of their grandchild being raised by a same-sex couple.
