I dislike obvious bad grammar, especially spelling. My sister used to do it all the time, which annoyed me to death (she still does it sometimes, I mean, you can't just spell 'materials' as 'matirials,' goddammit), but seriously, bad grammar and spelling is disturbing.

I KNOW some of y'all don't "give a sh*t" about it and that it "didn't matter," but to be clear, it leaves a bad impression on you.

It's fine if I'm not your friend anymore if you're offended by this (reference to a certain incident), but look, grammar is more important than some of you non-grammar freaks consider it.

First off, bad grammar and spelling is distracting. How is your reader(s) supposed to concentrate if your grammar and spelling is so cringy?

If it's a little bad, I can deal, but grammar nazis can't. It's a big deal to me, however, if you make a sentence run onnn and onnnn and onnn with spelling errors here and there everywhere.

Omigod, my sister literally wrote like that in third grade. 

It could be something like "Sooo guys I went to de ice creem store and there was liek this guy who is soooo beeg and he looked reely creepy and I just want to get out of their but my legs couldnt move, so wat do i do???"

I can't believe my sister's classmates write like this.

(Yee, the bad grammar's making me cringe, it's a bit over-exaggerated) 

Second, it leaves a bad impression on you. If you have bad grammar and spelling, you give the impression that you're an uneducated and unsophisticated child. You don't want that, do you?

Third, colleges won't accept you. If you think you can write an essay with a few grammatical mistakes and be accepted, you're wrong. Have one grammar/spelling mistakes, WHAM! Your work is treated like trash. 

Don't worry, I'm afraid of that happening to me as well.

Basically, that's it. Hate me or get mad for all I care, just consider it. 

Oh, and people on the net might as well not point out grammar/spelling mistakes unless it's clear that the other person accepts criticism.
