"Aditya!" her voice resonated in the room as she heard the man's voice picking up her call. "Have you reached the airport safely?"
"Yes, Zoya. I am all fine. Don't worry," he smiled at her concerned tone.
"Good! Oh, one more thing. I have packed some kheer and aloo paratha with achar and makhan for your lunch. The lunchboxes are in your hand luggage. Don't forget to have some food once reaching there!" she added strict, making sure he followed her words.
"Zoya! Why did you strain yourself working so much? I would have had something at the cafeteria," he sighed. "You know you need to take rest, baby."
"Well, for your information, Mr. Worried Husband, it was mahji who had prepared it all, not me. I just... helped her pack, that's it," she chuckled. "Also, I kept two extra pieces of your favorite chocolate cake I baked in a separate box, in a plastic cover. Thank me later!"
"You will never change, won't you?" he replied with a smug smile, hearing her chuckle.
"You are going away for two days," he saluted few colleagues as he walked through the hallways while listening to her soft bickering. "I needed to make sure you would think of me anyhow in these two days while away from me."
He blushed at her unheard pout, and soon reached his cabin where the air hostesses and his co-pilot were ready and waiting for the call. "Oh really? I may finish the lunch and cake within tonight. How will I do for the next two days, then?"
She widely grinned at the thought, "Don't worry, everything is packed and set in your luggage. You will see it by yourself," she replied.
"And what about you, madame? Aren't you going to remind yourself about me?" saying so, he took his seat in the empty cockpit, before being joined by his team.
"Well... I have my ways," she bit her finger nail as she smiled, red blushing.
"Captain, it's time," they suddenly got interrupted as his co-pilot intervened.
"Sure! Give me just... thank you!" he politely requested, raising his index finger up at his junior fellow. "Zoya, I need to switch my phone off, baby. We are going to take off in a few. Will talk to you later. Bye, love you, begum."
* humming *
"Listen I—" she was to finish her sentence when she heard the hanging beeps through the device, and pouted. "He hung it. Um... two more days..." she sighed, yet blushing at his last words.
"Your wife seems to miss you already," the colleagues started conversing as they were preparing their take off. "How romantic, captain!"
"Stop teasing, Rohit!" he smiled shyly at the thought of his wife wondering for him. "But the truth is... I am missing her more, right now."
He smiled widely as his colleague-cum-friend smirked at his talks. "Now, come on! We have a hundred of passengers to deliver to their place," he closed the casual chatting and they wore their headsets, prepared the flight.
" Allah mujhe dard ke kaabil bana diya
toofan ko hi kashti ka saahil bana diya "
" bechainiyan samet ke saare jahaan ki
jab kuch na ban saka toh mera dil bana diya "
Back in her room following a family dinner —without him—, Zoya opened the wide cupboard, smiling at something she fell on first sight. Stretching her arm inside the piece of furniture, she picked a white shirt among his collection in her little hand, her wide signature smile drawn on her lips remembering that one eventful day of her life.
" o saathi tere bina
raahi ko raah dikhe na "
That day, when they first met at that gift store, in her native Mussoorie. When they started arguing over their ownership on that small gramophone they were to gift to their special person. When he made her travel all around the town, both looking like two stubborn kids interested in playing on the chilly mountainous streets. When he threw the red-colored powder on her to divert her path from behind him. Unaware of the coming twist in their life, unaware this weird and childish first meeting was not purely coincidental but the beginning of a journey.
" o saathi tere bina
saahil dhuaan dhuaan "
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Let me welcome you all aboard Air Asia 2754 to Pune..."
As he continued his usual welcoming speech, he carried on his work, enjoying his passion, a smile plastered on his face. He promised her and his work not to divert his thoughts with her memories while in the air and so focused hard, though he knew he was terribly remembered by the beautiful soul, miles far down on Earth.
* humming *
She remembered all the times he had made her life a living hell. All the times he had made fun of her, her thoughts, her naivety. And she laughed at it today, when her own innocent nature was what pushed him to her.
Wearing that long white shirt to cover herself till her thighs, she stood by the huge window glass, smiling to the ground, red creeping out on her cheeks. It was almost one at night, and the darkness had already sent the city to bed, letting the shining moon show off his croissant figure up there in the sky.
Suddenly she felt a hand caressing her waist to reach her tummy. She recognized that touch, she became familiar to it now. Mixed of love, sensuousness, warmness, possessiveness. His topless figure glued on her back and she felt butterflies in her stomach, an unique sensation she had lived for the first time. Something she hadn't experienced earlier, because he certainly made it feel different, new, and special.
She looked sideways and had his head leaned on her shoulder, as if he found something more comfortable to lay his sleepy head on.
"Weren't you asleep? What are you doing still up?", she softly asked. She still blushed hard, after effects of having spent the most beautiful night of her life, with that person standing close behind.
"Not able to sleep without you by my side.", he brought his chin on her shoulder looking blankly at the view outside.
She giggled discretely at him as he pouted his words at last, hugging her tightly from behind. No matter how matured he could act as a man, the little child he kept safe in him since ever would always be there.
" aankhein moondein toh jaane kise dhoonde
ke soya jaaye na, ke soya jaaye na "
He woke up from his daydreaming, a wide smile as he remembered of their moments together. "Alright guys, I am going back to my room."
"Oh come on Adi, we've just started the game.", Rohit tried to stop but in vain.
"Tomorrow guys, please.", and he left the room leaving his friends chuckle at his eagerness for some privacy with his wife.
" qisse dhoonde yeh khwahishon ki boondein
ke soya jaaye na, ke soya jaaye na "
" maano nindiya piroya jaaye na
maano nindiya piroya jaaye na "
She stood in front of their dressing table and smiled at herself embraced in his shirt. As she hugged her tummy tightly, she felt his strong arms wrapped around her soft features, his head leant on hers.
"Why so beautiful, hmm?"
She inhaled his scent closing her eyes and her hair straightened sensing his blow on her cheeks as she brushed the shirt's sleeve against her chubbier skin.
"Don't do this to me, I am going to lose my ways up in the air.", he whispered looking at her through the mirror, still hugging from behind.
" Allah mujhe dard ke kaabil bana diya
toofan ko hi kashti ka saahil bana diya "
She held the shirt in her hand and put it on her body, over her night attire. But as she tried to button it, she loudly sighed.
"I can't even wear it properly. All because of you.", pouted she glaring at her small four-months-old pregnancy bump.
Suddenly she heard her phone ringing and looked towards the desk she kept it on, certain about who the late night caller was.
"Hmm, I guess he smelled me yelling at his laado.", she looked back down to her growing unborn child.
" bechainiyan samet ke saare jahaan ki
jab kuch na ban saka toh mera dil bana diya "
She reached out for her phone she plugged in the charger, waiting for his call desperately. "I thought you'd forgotten me. Do you know how long I have been waiting for your call?", he smiled as he imagined her cute frown sweetly scolding at him.
"Well, you were supposed to be asleep by now so I must be angry at you for not obeying my words."
"You're not here, none is here to order me anything.", she tucked her tongue out. "I wouldn't be that fast if I were you."
As he left the last words, she heard a knock on the door and her devarji entered as she gave permission. "Aditya!! No way you're going to do chantage through Arjun now."
"Then you must have known your dear husband well by now wifey.", she heard him smirking as she glared blankly. "I have given all the instructions to Arjun, he will take care of you until I reach you there."
"Bhai, don't worry! I will take care of Bhabhi.", she whined as he replied, hearing his elder brother's voice through the speaker whilst making his sweetest sister-in-law sit on the bed comfortably.
"Bhabhi, I am doing this majorly for my nephew so please stop glaring at me. I care for him, or her."
"It's her you duffer brother.", Aditya said louder.
"For your kind information dear shohar of mine, it's a 'he'.", Zoya replied back as Aditya tried to.
"Zoya, stop yelling, my princess is going to wake up."
"I said it is my little champ, so it is my little champ."
"O Saathi Tere Bina
Raahi Ko Raah Dikhe Na"
"O Saathi Tere Bina
Saahil Dhuaan Dhuaan"
Arjun chuckled as he kept admiring the two people arguing like two kids, making him wonder how the soon-to-be-born will make them be two responsible, mature parents. It would look more like a family of two big kids and a little one.
As he adored them for a while, he decided to leave the two fighting lovebirds share few more talks before dozing off. He knew how much both used to miss each other nowadays. After so many hurdles, they finally found their path of love holding each other's hand. And now, they reached the peak of dependency that they couldn't remain one minute, even one second without having a slight thought of each. His broken brother stood back filled with happiness as his Zoya bhabhi entered their once-huge-yet-empty Hooda mansion. Stepping in their small world, she spread happiness all around her, and she was no more the new member, but one most important.

"Thank you by the way.", he continued.
"For?", she asked confused. "I opened the surprise."
"Oh!", he smiled. "I just hope I don't go away of your thoughts, except when you'd be flying."
"Don't worry, this is going to be with me all the time. I won't let it go off me anytime."
"Me neither.", she looked at the shirt of his covering her features.
"Time to sleep beautiful. You need to rest."
"You also. Good night !", she said laid on the bed.
"Good night ! I love you Urdu Queen.", she just smiled blushing. "At least you can wish me the same.", he rolled his eyes.
"I am sleepy!"
"Zoya.. Zoya lis..."
"Bye !", she hung the call as her teeth bit her lower lip controlling her laughter, and so was smiling the man being far far away from his love.
He held the white handkerchief she gifted him, where she sealed their couple name 'AdiYa' in red, watermarking the piece of cloth with her lips, and her name hanging under it. He smiled cheekily and neared the cloth to his lips as he kissed her signature, feeling her presence so close to him.
"I love you too pagal !", she whispered as she kissed on his shirt collar before dozing off holding their most precious symbol of love in her safe hands.

MY FIRST OS ON ADIYA!
Something I wrote long ago, so might not be that good. Please do tell what you HONESTLY think of it. Any review would be acceptable (but let's be polite as well ✌🏼).
Forgive the spelling, grammar, syntax mistakes. I still my level best not to make enough mistake but it's human.
With Love,
Shruthy. ♥️
