Saying this, tears starts rolling down her eyes....Nanu just goes to her and keeps his hands on her head...gently trying to calm her down.....

Naina looked confusingly at Nanu...as to what did he meant by saying that he was being selfish here....Nanu just sighed and continued...

Nanu: Beta....tumhaari tarah kabhi Sameer ko poore parivaar ka pyaar nii mila...vo hamesha se akela hi raha....jb 4 saal ki chhoti si umar mei usne apne papa ko kho dia....

Naina couldn't completely believe what she heard just now....just yesterday Mr. Somani introduced Sameer to her as his eldest son....and now Nanu told her another shocking fact about him....he lost his father when was just 4 years old.....She had a doubt since first day of Rohan being Somani and Sameer being a Maheshwari....but she still didn't know the whole thing....When Nanu seeing her confused said......

Naina: Lekin Nana jii aise kaise...matlab mai kuchh nii jaanti unke baare mei....

Nanu: Beta bata to mai tumhe b skta tha uske ateet k baare mei...aur use bhi tumhaare baare mei...lekin hum chahte hain ki tum khud ek doosre ko sb batao...khud jaano...lekin hum p bharosa kro to hum yahi kahenge ki tum dono hi ek doosre k khaalipan ko bhar skte ho....

Nani: Haan Naina beta....ho ske to ise humaari vinti samajh k hi maan jao....humpe bahot Ehsaan hoga....

Naina: Nii Nii Nani jii....aap please aise mt boliye....mai...mai....is shaadi k liye taiyaar hun...lekin...

Nanu: Lekin kya beta...?

Naina: Mai tb hi haan kr skti hun jb mummy papa maan jaayein.....

Nanu Nani felt really happy.....they just nodded and blessed her wholeheartedly....

Nanu: Haan beta zaroor hum aaj hi unse baat krenge...kab aa rhe hain vo?

Naina: Aaj 4 baje tk aa jayenge Nana jii.....

Nanu: Theek h beta....lekin tumhe to koi aitraaz nii h naa....

She just nodded her head in a way of no....They both smiled at her and blessed her feeling contended. But Nanu was the happiest person there....Now he just hoped that her parents' also agree to it....but he had full faith on God, as he always felt that Sameer and Naina were indeed made for each other....and now things have started to fall into place.

Naina was still lost in deep thoughts...she always sensed some kind of pain in Sameer's eyes, but not knowing anything about him she shrugged away her thoughts thinking as what could make him unhappy. He had everything, loving and caring family, friends and he was successful. There could be no reason for him to be unhappy....but now she knew there was definitely something. Of course nothing could be more painful than losing your father at such an early age, but then too he had his mother and she also saw that Vivek also loved him...then why was he deprived of love since childhood.....Nanu and Nani saw her lost in her thoughts....but they decided to give her some time and space to digest everything that just happened. They both just patted her head and went away smiling at her.

On the other hand, when Sameer went to his Nani, as Nanu told him that she had been searching for him...When he found her finally, she was sitting with some ladies talking to them and happily discussing about some rituals of the marriage...He went towards her,

Sameer: Nani...

Nani: Haan beta..

Sameer: Kya hua? Aapne bulaya kya mujhe?

Nani: Maine? Nii to...

Sameer: Hain? To Nanu ne kyun kaha kia aap bula re ho mujhe.

Realizing why her husband would have done this, just to send Sameer away so that he could talk to Naina in private....without Sameer being around....

Nani: Are haan mai bhool hi gyi thi...vo Vishakha aur maine naa Preeti k liye ek aur dress aur Kuchh kangan banwaaye h...wahi lane h...market se....abhi hi phone aaya ki sb taiyaar h...to isiliye socha tujhe bol du...

Sameer looked at Nani strangely...as they had already bought a lot of stuffs for Preeti...but why this suddenly more things...not that he mind it...but still...

Nani: Are..ab aisa kya dekh raa h? Kisi aur ko nii bol skti naa sb busy hain...ab ek tu hi h....jo akela hai...ab dekh Munna, Pandit aur Rohan sb apni biwiyon k saath h....

Before Nani could say anything...He suddenly jumped in the middle saying....

Sameer: Haan to mai b to Naina k saath hi tha....aur...

And suddenly he realizes what he said....and saw Nani looking at him with a teasing smile and raised eyebrows....He thought it's better to leave from there than getting teased by his own grandmother. He hurriedly left from there...but don't know why he felt like informing Naina before leaving...He decided to go to her, but saw her still talking with Nanu, so he decided not to disturb her and just then Preeti came there, so he informed her and told her to take care of Naina and not to leave her alone at all and he'll be back soon......Preeti smiled seeing his concern for her friend, even though he claimed not be in love with Naina, but still everything he did for her showed otherwise.

And here Naina was all confused, she didn't know how to react to all of this.....till now everything was normal, if you could say so...but first the mehendi incident and now Nanu's wish for her to marry Sameer. And what is it about his past that only she can help him with....And what about her insecurities...what if she agrees and later he would also leave her.....He was so charming, handsome, caring and a sensible guy. Whereas she was a simple girl from an upper middle class family, average looking and could hardly differentiate between right or wrong. Lost in all these thoughts, she bumped into Preeti. Preeti could sense that something was bothering her....

Preeti: Kya hua Naina? Tu theek h naa?

Naina: Ab...ha...haan...theek hun...tu...tu yahan kya krri h? Teri mehendi ho gyi poori?

Naina was again lost in her thoughts....

Naina(in mind): Sameer ko itni chinta kyun h meri....jaane k pehle b Preeti ko Bol k gye ki mera dhyaan rakhe....mujhe to kuchh smjh hi nii aa raa...aur unhone kya soch k shaadi k liye haan kaha hoga? Unse hi poochhu kya? Nii nii Naina pgll h kya....Abhi jb tk Nana jii mummy papa se baat nii kr lete...Mai kuchh nii kahungi Sameer se....lekin ab pehle jaise b nii reh skti...sb to change ho gaya kaise face krungi unhe.....

Preeti shook her...

Preeti: Kahan kho gyi bhn?

Naina: Nii kahin nii...chal chlte hain...

Preeti: Haan chal...aunty uncle b aa jayenge thodi der mei...

Hearing this her heart started to beat really fast...it felt as if it's gonna jump out of her body anytime now....Naina and Preeti were going towards others, just when Sameer came there....

Sameer: Naina? Tum kahan thi? Kab se dhoondh raa hu tumhe...I mean tum sb ko...

Seeing Sameer in front her she got really nervous and her heart which calmed down just two minutes ago with a lot of difficulty, that was thudding as if it had to win a marathon. She said nothing and just looked down....staring at her feet and playing with her fingers...Seeing her like that he again asked with concerned filled voice..,

Sameer: Naina kya hua? Sb theek h naa...ku...kuchh hua h kya? 

Seeing him panicking she simply replied to him...

Naina: Nii Sameer kuchh nii hua h...vo...Mai...mai..vo...bs...haan kya h naa ki mai thak gyi hun bs isiliye...ab.....Mai abhi aati hun apne room se...

Saying this she hurriedly left from there. He definitely knew that something was wrong but he couldn't put the finger on exactly what it was. He asked Preeti as well who too said that she does not know what's wrong with her, but mentioned of her being lost somewhere. They thought of leaving her for some time maybe she would be fine. But Sameer was still worried about her. He felt as if she was feeling awkward about something or maybe someone. But he thought of asking her after some time.

At around 4 in the evening her parents came. Preeti's parents were really happy to finally be able to meet Rakesh and Rama. Naina was also very happy as she was meeting her parents after long time. Even though she has moved to India, but still didn't get a chance to visit them. Her parents couldn't visit her due to her grandparents' health and even she couldn't visit as it was a new job and also she wanted to find a new one as promised to her parents. She just ran to them and hugged them. Preeti also met them as she had always talked with them over the phone but met them in person for the first time. The other members from the gang also met them and the boys touched their feet, as done by Sameer first.

Sameer had been observing Naina the whole time. She tried to look normal but something was definitely wrong. She had been kind of ignoring him for the whole time. Even during lunch she spoke very little and also didn't eat anything properly. Sameer definitely knew that something was bothering her but nobody knew what. He even tried asking her, but she just mentioned being tired and nothing else. Even when her parents came, she looked genuinely happy, but when he touched their feet she gasped at him, but then again maintained her composure. After some time they all went inside and Naina along with Preeti took her parents to the room. After talking for some more time, they both left for letting them take some rest as there was no function in the evening that day.

Rakesh and Rama were just sitting after their coffee when there was a knock on the door. When they opened the door they found Nanu and Nani standing at the door. They folded hands and greeted each other and after regular exchange of greetings, they all settled in the room. Seeing Rakesh and Rama totally confused, Nanu started clearing by his throat...

Nanu: Ahem..ahemm....vo darasal humein aap logon se kuchh zaroori baat krni thi...

Rakesh: Jii kahiye naa...kya baat h?

Nanu: Vo..darasal..mai...Naina k baare mei kuchh baat krna chahta tha....

Hearing this Rakesh looked at Rama....who also shrugged not knowing what it was all about....

Nani: Jii...vo asal mei hum aapki Naina ka haath maangna chahte hain...apne naati Sameer k liye....

Rama and Rakesh were shocked as they did not expect this, and just two days ago Naina mentioned about who actually Nanu was.....and his real name and identity when she too got to know about it. It was definitely shocking for them that such rich and high class people were asking for their daughter's hand in marriage even though they could have found someone of their own class and also their castes were different. Rakesh and his family never believed in caste system earlier, even his younger brother got married to a Marwadi girl and everything was fine. But, after his brother's death, she left the house immediately and never came back. At the beginning she used to speak with all of them over the call, then she only called his old parents, but after some time she stopped calling at all. He has seen his parents, who lost a young son, were deprived of even talking with their grandson, who was the last sign of their dead son in a way.....Since then he decided he would never let his daughter or son marry someone from other caste.....It was as if Nanu could sense the storm in his mind he continued....

Nanu: Dekhiye mai jaanta hun kia aap kya soch re hain....Naina ne mujhe sb bataya h....lekin phir b mai aapse kehna chahta hun ki aap ek baar Sameer se mil lijiye...fir faisla kijiye...lekin apni taraf se mei aapko ye aashwaasan deta hun aur vachan b ki humaare parivaar mei aapki beti bahu ban k nii balki beti bn k aayegi....Lekin use pehle mai aapse kuchh batana chahta hun...lekin aap ye Naina ko mt bataiyega.....

Nanu looked at Nani, who blinked in assurance at her husband, as they have no right to keep someone in the dark, especially if they are asking that person for their biggest wealth, their daughter.....Whereas Rakesh and Rama had mixed feelings...somewhere they were happy to get such a proposal for their daughter, but also fear gripped their hearts due to their previous experiences but now when Nanu mentioned about something that needs to be kept hidden from Naina as well they were confused....

Nanu: Actually mai jo ab aap logon ko batane jaa raa hun....vo Sameer k baare mei h...uske beete kal k baare mei...hum aapko bata rahe hain kyunki aapko sb jaanne ka hak h...aur rahi baat Naina ki...to hum chahte hain Sameer sb kuchh Naina ko khud bataye....vo b jo usne humse nii kaha...Asal mei jb Sameer 4 saal ka tha tb uske papa ka ek car accident mei dehaant ho gaya aur fir.....

He started narrating everything about Sameer. Rama and Rakesh felt really bad for the poor boy, who, the world thought had everything, whereas in reality he did not have the basic thing that every kid needs i.e. the parents love and affection. How can someone deprive such a small kid of all this. Rama had her eyes filled up with fresh tears, as being a mother of two, she could not even imagine how Vishakha could leave him like this and most importantly she felt bad for the small kid. Even when Naina left home after her graduation, she used to call her every now and then, this even made them fight when Naina was busy, but still she did not change this habit of hers. Not even now. Breaking the silence Nanu continued...

Nanu: Jb mai pehli baar Naina se mandir mei mila tha...tb se hi mann mei ye ummeed thi....ki agar Naina mere Sameer ki zindagi mei aa jayegi...uska akelapan khatam ho jayega...

Rakesh looked at Rama who blinked her eyes in assurance as to meet Sameer once...

Hearing this Rakesh and Rama felt proud of their daughter...even they knew how much she respected and trusted Nana jii....even they did....but still wants her parent's permission first, even after knowing maybe she might not find a better life partner than Sameer...still she wanted their permission first.....Nanu called Sameer on his phone and asked him to come to Rakesh and Rama's room. He is there within two minutes, after exchanging pleasantries, Rakesh asks Sameer,

Rakesh: Sameer....beta tumhaare Nana jii aur Nani jii chahte hain ki hum tumhaari aur Naina ki shaadi krwa de....aur Naina ne bola h ki jb tk hum haan nii kehte vo koi faisla nii legi....agar hum haan kr dete hain to use is rishte se koi aitraaz nii h.....

Hearing this, Sameer kind of guessed the reason behind Naina's weird behaviour....Sameer came out of thoughts only after hearing Rakesh...

Sameer said all this with a smile on his face and a promise in his voice....his eyes showed that he meant his each and every word...Hearing all this Rama and Rakesh were sure that even if they try, they'll not be able to find such a life partner for their beloved daughter. They both looked at each other as to know each other's views and when Rama nodded her head Rakesh smiled widely....being very happy....And all this while Sameer stood there nervously.....He wasn't sure what will be their decision.....

Rakesh: (folding his hand) Jai Prakash ji humein ye Rishta Manzoor h...Hum chahein b to b humein humaari beti k liye Sameer se achha Jeevan saathi nii mil skta.....

Sameer couldn't believe what he heard was true or was he hallucinating......But when Nanu patted his back, he was sure that he wasn't dreaming at all...and he is going to marry Naina....
