Bonus Chapter One

Well well!!

Khush??? :3

This was going to come out before Hussain entered Meri Duaa but I couldn't concentrate on it earlier.

So keep in mind, this was a week before he got to India, basically 2-3 MD chaps ago. (I don't know if that even relevant or not but oh well!)

Happy Reading !!

~~~ASMAARA's POV~~~
"Suraj Hua Maddham, Chaand Jalne Laga,
Aasmaan Yeh Haai Kyoon Pighalne Laga...
Main Thehra Raha, Zameen Chalne Lagi,
Dhadka Yeh Dil, Saans Thamne Lagi..."
I laughed as shehry pulled me closer and made twirl around, with my hand holding his' above my head. He pulled away slightly before pulling my hand, gesturing me to roll in. Once I was wrapped in his arms, he leaned closer to kiss my cheek.
"Oh, Kya Yeh Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar Hai,
Sajna, Kya Yeh Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar Hai..."
Singing, He went on his knees, and stretched his arms wide. I giggled, slapping his forehead gently.
"Teen baje romance sooj raha hai tumhe?"
"So what?" He frowned, getting up, "teen baje main soup bhi toh bana raha hoon tumhaare liye."
"Mere liye?" I raised an eyebrow at him cheekily. He shook his head, smiling, and I stole the opportunity to pull his cheek.
"Tum teeno ke liye!" He sighed, cupping my cheeks. I closed my eyes as he leaned closer and kissed my forehead. His lips didn't stay there for longer as a loud cry forced us to pull apart. It must be Seher.
Shehry looked at me with wide eyes and I chuckled, "abhi sirf ek hai toh Yeh haal hai Aur—"
"Baki do ka intezaar hai," he added, cutting me off. I smiled, seeing him smiling, and sat down on the kitchen stool again. Shehry moved over to the stove and stirred the content in the pot.
"First I was curious about one gender, now I am dying to know both!" He said after a while. He turned off the stove and turned to face me, "when's the next appointment?"
"Tomorrow but, we are going to keep them a surprise as decided yaar!" I told him and he sighed, "besides, who cares if we are having two boys or two girls or a boy and a girl? We are still going to love them equally, right?"
"Acha one? Please yaar! Main suspense main mar jaunga," he winced, tapping the wooden spoon on the Bench top. I giggled as I got off the stool and approached him.
"Just one?"
"Just one!" I sighed, defeated, at his demand. I guess it's fair, he should get to choose too!
"Acha jaldi karo, I am starving!" I moved over to the cabinet and pulled out two soup bowls and spoons before sliding them over to him. Shehry poured the soup while I chose to sit on the stool again, lost in my own pool of thoughts.
I don't care about the gender, all that matters to me is that I stand with them all the time. I have spent my childhood waiting for my parents' physical presence around me; I don't want the same for my kids.
"Kahan kho gayi?" Shehry tapped on my shoulder, snapping me out of my thoughts. He kept the bowls down and sat beside me.
"Kaheen Nahi," I sighed, "I am just missing mama."
"Oh, we are going to meet her yaar, only three more days to go, yeah?" He smiled at me and I nodded, despite the uneasiness.
"Don't worry, she will be fine! Abhi toh unhein hamare bache bhi dekhne Hein!" I smiled at his words as he placed his hand on mine.
"I have waited for her all my life and when I do have her as just my mother, I am scared I am going to lose her again," I sighed as tears pooled up in my eyes. Shehry cupped my face in his hands again. "Don't worry jaan, she is just sick, who theek ho jaayeingi. Now stop crying."
I just nodded at him, still unconvinced, and he smiled, "Have your soup, you need to take rest too!"
"Yes sir!" I chuckled at him. He always makes sure that I am having my proper diet, eating the right things, taking rest and what not. Even though lately I have started eating like a pig, he still keeps an eye.
"Oh crap you two!" a voice snapped me out if my thoughts and I turned around only to find Preet standing by the kitchen door, "Pagal ho? itni raat ko jag rahe ho! Darra diya mujhe!"
"Hi mummy ji!" I giggled at her lazily and she rolled her eyes at me. "Stop mocking me already or I'll make sure my kids will grow up calling you bebe (grandma)."
"Wow, why so cranky?" I asked her, surprised by her grumpy mood. "What do you think? Woh fir uth kar beth gayi hai aur ab saari raat nahi sone wali," She sighed, referring to Seher.
Rubbing her tired eyes, Preet approached the fridge and pulled out the milk bottle. After warming some up in the microwave, she filled Seher's bottle.
"I am telling you, sleep as much as you want now. Baad main ek soye ga toh doosra sir pe naache ga, dekh liyo," She said to me before leaving the kitchen and I turned to Shehry.
"You better stay up with me the whole night!" I warned him, pointing my index finger at him, and he scratched his head. "Does it look like I am sleeping right now?"
"Just saying, don't ditch later on!" I told him, sighing, and he chuckled.
He stood up and bowed in front of me, "banda aapke liye har waqt haazir hai!"
"Good!" I giggled as he straightened his posture and stole a peck on his cheek.
~~~~~

"Shehry your socks!" I called out for him when I found them lying on the floor. I told him twice to pick them up but they are still in the same spot as before.

Main uthaungi toh gussa honge, I sighed as I bent down slightly to pick them up. An arm snaked around mine, reaching the socks before me.

"You are not supposed to Bend down, How many times do I have to tell you?" Shehry Narrowed his eyes at me and I rolled mine. "Toh pehle aa jaate na!"

"Zara sa sabar Nahi hai," he muttered, shoving them in his drawer. "Do ghante Se wait kar rahi hoon!" I scowled at him and walked past him to sit on the bed again.

"Hey! Look who is here!" Shehry cheered out of nowhere and I looked up, only to find Preet and Seher by the door. Shehry got up and took Seher from Preet while she came up to me.

"Yeh Le halwa, ami ne banaya hai," she passed me a bowl and I could already feel my mouth watering. As much I have been loving sweets these days, I know how harmful they can turn out to be in future. Khair, future Ki tension future main hi rehne do.

"Thank you so much, I was craving for this!" I hugged her waist and she chuckled.

"And this came in the mail for you," she gave Shehry a packet and I frowned at it.

"Give her to me because you two need to hurry up," she took Seher from Shehry, "you are late for your appointment."

"What's in that?" I asked Shehry the moment Preet left. He smiled down at the packet before turning away from me. He got busy opening it and I sighed.

"This!" He turned around all of a sudden, holding a photo frame in his hands. I realised it was our latest ultrasound image.

"To our new stage in life!" He grinned , making me smile as a tear slipped out of my eye.

"Hey come on now," he sighed, putting the frame aside, and came to sit in front of me.

"I am sorry I get too emotional these days," I sighed as he softly brushed his finger against my cheek.

"It's ok," he smiled, before kissing my forehead.

"It's really sweet of you," I told him, looking at the frame.

He chuckled, scratching the back of his head, and picked up the frame again. I smiled down at our two little angels as I kept my hand on my stomach.

"We will be meeting them soon," shehry smiled at me and I nodded, "then right below it, will be our proper family photo."

I giggled at the thought of it and slid closer to him to give him a hug. "I am excited!"

"Me too!"

~~~PREET's POV~~~
"Haan toh main kyun chalu saath?" I winced, folding Seher's clothes.
"Because I said so," Hussain said while fixing his hair.
"Yeah but I want to sleep!" I told him and sat down on the bed, "I am so tired."
"Yeah right, we both know how much you are going to sleep," he commented, "you'll find some work to do for sure."
"Haan toh ghar main sau kaam hote Hein," I muttered, earning a chuckle from him.
"Chal na yaar. We will spend a day together. It's been a while," he sat down beside me and picked up Seher, "Aur yeh madam dadi ke paas rukengi!"
"Woh hamare saath kyun Nahi jayegi?" I asked, almost instantly, and He chuckled again. "Your mommy is so protective! Tell her I am taking her out for the day and you will be fine with Maha phuppo and Dadi!"
"Hussain, let's take her with us, no? Mera dhyan—"
"Sirf mujh par rahe ga!" He smirked, cutting me off, "Aur waise bhi, I have a flight to catch in a few days and I am going to miss you like hell!"
I sighed, unsure. This would be the first time I'll be going out without Seher. Well, not counting grocery shopping.
"Come on, one day for me?" Hussain pouted, catching my attention. Well, his point is valid too; we haven't been spending much time together.
"Ok fine, let me go get ready," I smiled at him and stood up.
"Wear red!" He reminded me, winking, and I obeyed.
Pulling out a red churidaar with silver embroidery, I went inside the washroom to change and stepped out a few minutes later. Hussain was busy feeding Seher when he looked up and smiled at me.
"Gorgeous," he mouthed, making me blush.
"Chalein?" I asked, once I was done combing my hair and Hussain stood up. He lifted Seher to his shoulder and patted her back, gently, before she let out a soft burp. She snuggled into his neck, pulling on to his tshirt with her tiny hands.
"Guess she doesn't want to leave you," I remarked, rubbing her cheek.
"But she is still not going with us," he made sure I knew and I sighed, following him outside.
~
"Mumma will be back soon," I whispered to Seher. She was sleeping in Ami's arms right now. "Her diapers are in my cupboard and her clothes are in bottom two drawers. Her baby foo—"
"Oh ho, we will back in a few hours, ab chalo!" Hussain interrupted us and Ami laughed.
"Bache sambhalna aata hai Mujhe. Ab jao," she chuckled, slapping my head. I made a face before hugging her.
"Mummy Ji! We are late," Hussain commented as I took my seat in the car.
"What's up with you using that word now? Call me that once more and—"
"And what?" He asked, cutting me off, and made a kissy face at me. I slapped his arm, annoyed. He laughed, shaking his head and I soon gave in, letting out a soft chuckle.
Soon I was strapped in the front seat, blind folded. Hussain was drawing circles behind my left hand while driving at the same time.
"Where are we going? Batao na!" I winced, demanding an answer. He just squeezed my hand in response, keeping quiet.
Soon the car stopped and his door opened and closed. Moments later, my door opened and Hussain pulled me out. Judging by the echo, I decided we were at a restaurant or a mall.
"Dhyan Se," Hussain wrapped his arm around my waist and guided me to somewhere. Soon he helped me sit down and my blind fold loosened, not-so-bright light torturing my eyes as I opened them.
I looked around myself in awe. There was an artificial waterfall on the wall behind us, glowing different colours. The only thing present in this dimly lit room, other than us, was soft romantic music. I shivered, smiling, excited for this date.
"At your service Ma'am!" Hussain snapped me back to reality and I looked up at him. He walked in with a trolley, wearing a Buttler's cap.
He took the cap off and bowed in front of me, "aap kya khana pasand karenge? Chinese, Italian, or just Desi."
I giggled. "Aap kya laaye Hein?"
"Uhm, lamb chops, chicken stew, hot & spice chicken, veg soft noodles, Tandoori Chicken, Naans, Caesar salad, and mango cheese cake for dessert," he listed everything and I stared at him, amazed.
"You cooked all that?"
He chuckled. "Ha, no! I just ordered whatever I liked in the menu."
"Well, you ordered it right then," I smiled at him as he struggled to fit everything on the table.
"I didn't want to be disturbed so I decided to order before hand."
I couldn't help but, just smile at him.
"Besides, I am leaving soon, so we deserve this quality time," he added and I nodded, Even though that made me a little upset. I sighed, shrugging it off. Kam Se kam Abhi toh yaheen hain na.
~~~HUSSAIN's POV~~~

I sighed, craving for her attention. She glanced at her phone once again; disappointment clear on her face.

"Ab phone main ghusne ka irada hai?" I stumbled out, irritated. Preet looked up and shook her head, "Nahi Woh, ami didn't call. Seh—"

I rolled my eyes.

"Preet, mom knows her more than you think. She will be fine," I assured her.

"I guess," she sighed and slid her phone away.

"So, what's your plan now? Kitne din door rehne ka irada hai?" She asked and I chuckled.

"Irada toh Kuch Aur hai, bas aapke pass mere liye Zara time Nahi hai."

"Tumhare liye toh jaan hazir hai, time kya cheez hai?" I smiled, impressed, as She played along.

"Acha? Dekhnge," I smirked at her, taking a bite. The taste of Fresh spices melted in my mouth and I waited for Preet's reaction. Soon her eyes lit up and I smiled, sensing her opinion about it.

"It's delicious!" She spoke, once she was done.

"Meri choice best hai; koi shak?" I boasted, jerking my collar. She rolled her eyes at me.

"And you are my choice too," I added before she could comment on that and she kicked me from under the table.

Sharing a few laughs and dances, we were finally done eating, and ready to head to our room.

"The food was amazing, thank you," I told the manager and He bowed, accepting the compliment.

"I hope you liked our service too ma'am," he asked Preet and I frowned, not hearing her response. I turned to see her busy in her phone.

"Preet?"

"Uh, huh? What?" She looked up, confused, and quickly kept her phone away.

"Here is your key, sir. Have a nice stay," the manager smiled at me again and I nodded at him as he guided us to the elevator.

Upon opening the door of our room, I stepped aside, letting Preet get inside first.

"What are we doing here?" She frowned at me as I closed the door.

"I thought we could spend some quality time together," I smiled at her, taking her hands in mine, "and maybe enjoy the sunset and—"

"Woh toh ghar Pe bhi ho sakta tha. We have such an amazing garden," she said, cutting me off.

"Are you trying to play dumb or—" I groaned, "you know what, let's go home. I am sorry I wanted to spend some time with you. I am sorry I bothered planning a tension free day for you. Let's just go."

As I opened the door again, Preet held my hand, and I tried not to grin.

"I am sorry, please don't get mad at me," she tugged on to my jacket, "it's just that it feels weird to not have Seher with me."

"And I told you, Preet, mom is with her. She has looked after me, she still looks after Maha, so she can look after Seher too," I told her.

She nodded, looking down at her hands, and I sighed, "ek kaam karo, call Mom and talk to her. Main bahar wait karta hoon, OK?"

She nodded again and I left her there. Going out in the balcony, I stared in the distance; Not looking at anything in particular.

Moments later, I felt her arms around my torso as she rested her head on my shoulder. "I am shovy?"

I chuckled as I held her hand, bringing her In front of me, "I'll let you have that one."

"I love you," she smiled and I ran my hand down her back.

"I care about Seher too but I know she is in the right hands right now..... And I participate your concern towards her."

"And I appreciate yours towards me," she giggled, adding to that.

"That reminds me, Since you love it, I ordered this for you," I lifted the lid off the tray that was kept on a small white table.

"Black Forest cake!" She squealed, sitting on the beach chair, "you are the reason why I keep on gaining weight!"

"What's the harm in spoiling you once in a while?" I asked her as I sat down beside her. She picked up a spoon, digging right into it, while I just smiled, seeing her happy.

"Say aa," and before I knew it, a spoon full of Black Forest cake was stuffed into my mouth, catching me off guard.

"Sorry!" She laughed, hysterically, maybe because of the cake that was now smudged all over my mouth.

I shook my head, laughing along.

~~~SHEHRY's POV~~~
I paced up and down in front of the doctor's room, growing quite impatient. I am the father so why do I have to stand outside and wait? Not fair.
"Mr Shaharyar?" A nurse called me, trying really hard with my name. I cringed my nose at the pronunciation.
"Doctor is calling you inside," she added and I sighed, glad. Nodding, I followed after her until she opened the door for me. I stepped inside and she closed it.
There was no one in the room so I headed towards the green curtains. As I stepped closer, I heard a sob which made me frown.
"Asmaara?" Her name left my mouth, seeing her crying, "w-what happened? Kya Hua? Why are crying?"
I panicked, going near her. She looked up as I sat beside her, and rested her head on my shoulder. I ran a hand through her hair, trying to calm her down.
"She said it's too early to tell the gender," she spoke after a while.
"So? It's ok, we will find out next time na, ismein rona kaisa?" I consoled her as the doctor stepped in and smiled at me.
"But just look at that, they look so tiny!" She pointed at a screen and I frowned at it. It was a still image of the ultrasound which looked exactly the same as the one at home.
I grinned at the screen as I stared at it intently, "they look bigger than last time."
"Oh they do, honey," the doctor Spoke and I nodded at her.
"Ah! It's irritating, I am crying for no reason again," Asmaara groaned beside me, pulling away all of a sudden.
I chuckled, cupping her cheeks, "I guess it's justified."
"Do you wish to see them again?" The doctor asked me and I nodded at her.
Applying some gel on Asmaara's belly, The doctors pressed a grey stick like object, with a round tip, on it. I watched carefully as she showed us our babies from different angles and Asmaara squeezed my hand.
Even though all I pick up from these appointments are two little blobs, it still swells my heart with happiness every time. Those two blobs are a part of us; the thought always brings tears in my eyes.
I blinked at the screen before smiling up at Asmaara. She looked equally happy; maybe a little more.
The doctor and I briefly discussed Asmaara's medications Before She took out a CD from the recorder. "And here you go, it's yours to keep," she gave it to me and I accepted it with much excitement.
Helping Asmaara up on her feet, we left the clinic, and I helped her sit inside the car.
"You fancy an ice cream date?" I asked her once we were on the road.
"Oh Ehm Gee! Yeah!" She shrieked, making me chuckle, "I want double chocolate hobbit crunch with caramel and whipped cream on top."
I am not sure what that would taste like.
"Wow, thats going to be too sweet," I chuckled, shaking my head, and she punched my arm.
"No actually, I want jalebi," she suggested after a while and then got confused herself, "No we should go for Kulfi, it's been a while! But I want pizza. It's final! We are going for pizza!"
I laughed at her list and she scowled at me.
"Wait stop!" She yelled all of a sudden, catching me off guard, and I pressed the breaks instantly. Raising my hand in front of her, I absentmindedly defended her from the impact and she gasped.
"What was that for?" I yelled out, knitting my eyebrows at her.
"They sell goll gappe there, right? Let's go," she pointed at a restaurant and before I knew it, she unbuckled her seat belt and stepped out of the car.
And this is just one of the behaviours I have to deal with. She gets too hyper at times.
Sighing, I went after her and found her sitting at a table already. A waiter walked upto her and placed two trays of gol gappe in front of her.
"Wow, you ordered already," I chuckled as I slid a plate towards me. She smacked my hand away, scowling.
"Place your order yourself," she remarked before concentrating back on her food.
"You can't eat that all by yourself," I told her, "This is not healthy and I can't risk your health."
"Oh come on Shehry, ek baar main Kuch Nahi hota and they are really nice!" She insisted, stuffing one in her mouth. She closed her eyes, enjoying the taste of it and I shook my head.
"Why aren't you eating?" She asked after a while, pointing at the plate in front of me.
"I thought it was for you," I cocked an eyebrow at her.
"Wah, Bari baat maan'ne lage ho?" She rolled her eyes at me, "chup chap kha lo. Waise bhi Mujhe bhook Nahi hai."
"Yes of course," I chuckled, realising.
Just when I was about eat, she asked, "you think I am putting on weight? More than I am supposed to?"
Hussain warned me about this. I smiled, awkwardly, thinking about how to answer that.
"Uhh—"
"Don't bother," she said, cutting me off, "I'll work on it later, who cares anyway?"
"Yeah," I sighed. Thank goodness.
"Par Main permanently moti ho gayi toh? What if I am not able to lose all these flabs? I will look ugly!" She frowned, looking down at herself. Permanently?
"Asmaara, look here," I told her and she did as asked. I extended my hands across the table, waiting for her to keep her's on them.
"As long as you are comfortable with yourself, nothing should bother you. Yeah?"
"Yeah I guess so," she shrugged and pulled away, "time waste mat karo, jaldi khao. hame jana hai!"
"Kahan?" I frowned at her.
"Bhool Gaye? I told you we are getting pizzas!" She widened her eyes at me in disbelief.
"Wait, aren't you full already?"
"Isse Mera kya hoga?" She frowned at her empty plate before pushing it away.
I raised my hand, calling the waiter, and he approached us with a huge grin on his face.
"Bill please," I asked him politely.
"Sir, ek- ek autograph p-please?" He stuttered, extending a napkin and a pen towards me. I looked down at it and smiled before scribbling a good luck message on it along with my autograph.
Giving autographs still feels amazing, every time it brings a different sort of energy in me.
I cleared the bill and left with Asmaara.
"So, where to now?" I asked her once we were inside out car.
"I want pan pizza with extra cheese on it!" She rubbed her hands together before adjusting her seatbelt.
"Done," I smiled, pulling out of the parking lot.
"Oh and extra jalapeños and no Gherkins— I hate gherkins," she scrunched her nose, making me chuckle.
"Yes ma'am! Aur Kuch?" I asked her.
Her list went on for a couple of minutes and I heard every single word, hoping not to mess up the order later on. Taking her hand in mine, I kissed the back of it.
And before I knew it, she was fast asleep due to sleepless nights.
~~~PREET's POV~~~

"Beautiful," I murmured, looking up at the sky.

The sun had just set and the stars were already shining above us but the orange colour was still blazing along the horizon. Everything looked exceptionally beautiful.

"Hmm," Hussain lazily hummed beside me. We were lying on the same beach chair, with my head on his shoulder and his arm wrapped around me. And I knew he was staring at me.

"If you see a shooting star right now, what will you wish for?" I asked him, curious.

"I don't know," he shrugged, "what would you wish for?"

"Me? I want to be able to torture you for the rest of my life like this," I giggled, kissing him just under the jaw; as high as I could reach.

"Leh, wish waste ho gayi na. Main toh yaheen hoon, shaunk se torture hone ke liye," he said, making me chuckle, "maine kahan jana hai?"

"Kaheen Nahi, bas mere paas raho, forever," I told him before pecking on to his jaw again.

"You need to stop that!" He snapped at me suddenly, "or else you will ruin the whole purpose behind giving you a day off from everything."

"Stop what?" I frowned, "this?"

Kissing his jaw again, I raised my eyebrows at him. I bit my lips, purposely, knowing exactly what he meant and where we were heading to with this.

"You—"

I instantly rolled away from him and stood up as he rolled in and fell on the floor. Laughing at the unexpected outcome, I offered him my hand to stand up.

"Sorry!" I apologised, still laughing, but my laugh slowly died down when he didn't join in.

"You know what I'd ask for?" He asked me, his expressions turning dark, "I'd replace that word with 'care'."

I blinked at him as he stepped closer. Wrapping my hair around his finger, he tucked them behind my ear.

"I want to take care of you for the rest of my life. Make sure to make you laugh every day, fall for you everyday and stand with you through everything," his lips twitched upwards in a small smile.

"Let me love you everyday, every moment. Let me kiss you every—" I leaned in before he could finish, softly touching my lips to his'.

As I raised my hands to his hair, His hand traced along my back, pulling Me closer. I smiled against his lips when he hugged me, deepening the kiss. His lips moved fast and urgent but gentle, simultaneously, causing a shiver to run down my spine, taking me to a familiar level.

Soon he tilted his head back, breaking the kiss. As his knuckles brushed against my jaw, I saw a question in his eyes.

And we both knew the answer.
