~~~ASMAARA's POV~~~
"Thank you mela chotu!" I giggled at Seher, when Preet congratulated me on her behalf. She was lying peacefully in Hussain's arms, all wrapped up in her adorable peekachu onesie, looking no less than an actual one.
"Chalo Preet, Hussain.. Beta now it's time for you to go home," Ami spoke and I looked up at her. Preet pouted at her, "ami please na. Thori dayr."
"Nahi," ami shook her head, "Seher is not even a day old yet and it's not safe for her."
Preet sighed in defeat and ami caressed her cheek, "agar woh bimar ho gayi aur use injections lagwane pare toh unki moti moti needles dekh kar sabse zada tere mote mote aansu niklenge."
I cringed my nose as an image of injections popped up in my head.
"Ok fine," Preet smiled ami, "waise bhi, there is heaps to do there as well."
"Hmm, Chal jaao shabash," ami patted her shoulder and she nodded. Preet gave me a quick hug and then they left.
A couple of people came us and congratulated me with presents and blessings. I greeted them with a permanent smile glued to my lips everytime while my eyes searched for him. Abhi tak kahaan busy hai?
"Hato hato hato! Make way for Dulhe raja!" Someone announced and my eyes instantly looked for him. I saw shehry being pushed by Atif and Soha in my direction. He was chuckling as the both forced him to walk and before I knew it, someone pushed me towards him.
I gasped as I stumbled upon my five inches of heel and landed on his chest. He hurriedly snaked his arm around me, saving me from the uninvited fall. I closed my eyes, inhaling his scent when I heard someone snickering behind me. My eyes sprung open and widened as I looked up at Shehry. He smiled, shyly, before helping me gain my balance again.
"Wait nahi hua na?" Rabia whispered in my ear and I fought the urge of scowling at her. She pushed me!
"Well, we will leave you two alone now. Chalein Aunty catering dekh lete hein," Rabia said to Ami and mama. Those three walked away while others took their time to smirk at us before leaving us alone.
"Hey!" He whispered and I raised my eyes to look at him. A sweet, nervous smile played on his lips. His eyes trailed from my face to my toes like he was checking out my outfit... Or me. I suddenly felt so conscious about myself when he raised his eyebrows at me.
"Hey," I replied as my eyes fell on his outfit. It was a golden Shervaani with dark Red embroidery on the top half. The colour combination matched with mine.
Shehry took a step forward and I gulped at the closeness. He raised his hand and filled the spaces between my fingers with his'. Suddenly he leaned closer and my eyes widened when I felt his lips on my cheek.
"My wife looks so beautiful today," he whispered near my ear and my heart skipped a beat. His wife.
"And this blush just made her look extra cute," he added and I bit the insides of my cheeks. He raised his free hand and caressed my cheek with his thumb, sending shivers down my spine.
"My husband looks no less," I told him, acting as normal as I could, and he sighed. "Bas meri wife ka assar hai."
I giggled at his comment and he rubbed the back of his neck, "Hmm lagta hai milna parega unse."
"Jee jab aap chahein," he offered.
I gasped when his hand touched my back and he jerked me closer, pinning me against his broad frame. He leaned in, tilting his head and I tried wriggling out of his grip, clearly remember my surroundings. He was smirking at me and I could tell that he was aware of the affect he was having on me. A part of me wanted to pull away but I part of me wanted to hold on to him.
"Ehem!" Someone cleared their throat, freaking the hell out of me. I jumped out of Shehry's grip and found Adeel standing in front of us.
"Hello there love birds," he smirked at us and I looked away to stop myself from blushing.
"Hello mr moment ruiner," Shehry replied and Adeel smacked his arm.
"Biwi kya aa gayi, aise baat karega?" He faked sternness in his voice and kept his hands on his waist. Shehry took a step forward and smacked his arm, "teri nahi aayi toh mujhse jalega?"
"Aaye gi bhi nahi," Adeel scrunched his nose, shaking his head.
"Haw," I gasped, "zaroor aayegi. We will find you one."
"Rehne do, koi isse pasand kare... Dimag kharab hai larkiyon Ka?" Soha interjected as she walked towards us.
"Shehry, Asmaara, come on, dinner is ready," she smiled at us and we nodded.
"Oh hello! Kuwari tu maregi. Meri chaar aayengi!" Adeel jerked his collar and I raised an eyebrow at him.
Soha rolled her eyes, "keep dreaming. Charo ki charo andhi hongi."
"Just because you can't have me," he countered back.
"Oh please, standards hein mere," she curled her fingers in front of her mouth and blew on her nails, showing attitude.
"Yeah, jo mere standards Se kabhi match nahi ho sakte," Adeel shrugged.
I looked at Shehry with my eyebrows raised. I was enjoying the show while they bickered back and forth.
"Let's go!" Shehry whispered to me before he held my hand. I stopped him from moving, "where to?"
"Kaheen akele," he said and I gasped. "No! Everyone will start looking for us. We can't just leave."
He sighed, rolling his eyes, "just come ok." He didn't give me a chance to speak and within a second, I was being dragged across the hall until I felt a grip around my free wrist. I halted as someone else pulled me and shehry stopped too.
"Chalo," he groaned turning around. He rolled his eyes at whoever was behind me and I looked over my shoulder.
"Hum andhe hein?" Adeel asked as he pulled me again, freeing me from Shehry's grip.
"Asmaara is coming with us," Soha folded her arms in front of her chest before she held my arm and made me walk with her.
"Sorry," I mouthed to Shehry who scowled at the two.
"Come on, you two will have the whole night," Soha whispered to me and winked, "yeh shaam toh hamein de hi sakte ho."
~~~WAQAS' POV~~~

"Jee uncle, I checked everything myself," I smiled at Anwar uncle, calming him down. He was worried about the food and seating arrangements.

"Thanks beta, Khush raho," he patted my head and I kept a hand on my chest, bowing a little.

"Riaz sahb aap iski shaadi kab Kar rahe hein? Itna pyaara bacha hai, I am shocked he is still single," he told dad and I mentally rolled my eyes. Jisse Dekho meri shadi ki pari hai.

"Bohot Jald uncle! In fact I'll bring an angel for my brother very soon," Nosh joined us along with Roop and winked at me.

"Yes, I am sure you will," dad smiled at both of us. I smiled back and my heart clenched in my chest.

She might be an angel but am I worthy of that Angel? I couldn't even respect the girl I love, how will I respect her?

"Acha baba, I am going home. Kids are really tired now and Asif uncle is busy. Tell him I am taking Maha with me too. She is also very sleepy," Nosh said to dad and he nodded.

"Can you drop me home too please? Bhai can't pick me up and I don't have my car," Roop asked Nosh and I frowned. It's not even that late. Why can't she stay?

"It's.. It's your family function anyway," she paused and stole a glance at me. I looked away. "What am I going to do here amongst all you friends and family?"

I don't know why but, I felt like she was purposely throwing those words at me. The ones I had said to her the other night.

"Are you sure?" Nosh frowned at her and Roop nodded. Whatever.

"Nosh, this is Shayan's I think. He dropped it," Malvika came out of no where and my eyes locked with her's for a moment.

We haven't talked after last night as I didn't want to look into those eyes or smell her presence around me. I had been ignoring her the whole night and I guess she was doing the same.

She looked away and gulped before giving a black Bow tie to Nosh. She looked at the floor and frowned as she turned to leave. A sudden feeling of guilt took over me again. I felt guilty of embarrassing her in front of our common friends. Making her so uncomfortable that now I don't even have the courage to breath the same air as her.

"Let's go," Nosh said to Roop and I pretty much lost my mind there.

"Roop stop!" I blurted loudly and she flinched at my tone. Her eyes widened as she looked at me.

"Umm..." I took a deep breath, "I'll take you home. Please stay." She frowned at me for a second before parting her lips.

"No Waq-"

"I said stay!" I said, more like ordered, and Roop reluctantly nodded, frowning at the floor. Nosh smirked at me as her eyebrows danced, teasingly. Behind them was Malvika, who smiled at me before walking away.

This is what you wanted. I am trusting you on this Malvika. I won't be responsible for the consequences.

~~~PREET's POV~~~
I lowered Seher in her cot once she had fallen asleep and gave it a little push. I smiled, seeing her so calm in her sleep. My thumbs caressed her soft skin and I giggled when she squeezed her lips together. She was not even here at this hour yesterday.
"So gayi?" Hussain whispered as he rested his hand on my shoulder. "Hmm," I whispered, looking up at him. My heart swelled, seeing so much love and care for her in his eyes.
"Thanks for throwing away the nappy," I said to him in a hushed tone and he looked at me. He smiled and shook his head. I cupped his right cheek as I softly kissed the left one. He smile widened as I pulled away.
"Oh ho, kiss viss haan?" He asked, looking impressed and I shrugged my shoulders. "Baar baar nahi milti. Consider yourself lucky."
"I irritate you so much na?" He asked as I walked past him. I pulled out a pair of sweatpants and black t-shirt for him. "Hmm... Bohot zyada," I scrunched my nose as I handed the clothes to him.
"Haye, ab saat janam kaise bitaogi mere saath?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow at him. I took the clothes from his hand and kept them on the bed, "what's up with saat janam all of a sudden, han?"
"Nothing, I was just thinking," he wrapped his arms around my waist and I kept my hands on his chest, "bore nahi ho jaogi ek insaan ko jhel jhel kar."
"Hmm," I tapped my index finger on my chin like I was giving it a good thought, "if there is really such a thing, then I guess even seven isn't enough Yaar."
"Acha?" He raised his eyebrow and I nodded. A soft smile appeared on his lips and he made a kissy face at me.
"Kuch kahoon?" I asked him and he nodded, giving me permission. I smiled and snaked my arms around his neck.
"Pal Mein Guzar Jaye Wo Mohabbat Kaise? Hum To zindagi Bhar Tujhe Chahenge," I whispered and he shook his head, disapprovingly. "Uh. Uh.. Lies."
"Haw! Suno na!" I slapped his chest and he stumbled backwards, chuckling. "Acha continue."
I sucked in some air and smiled again.
"Pal mein guzar jaye Wo mohabbat kaise? Hum to zindagi bhar tujhe chahenge," I whispered as he brushed my nose against mine, making me pause and giggle, "Sath janam mein guzar jaye wo kasam kaisi? Hum to sadiyon tak tumhaara sath nibhayenge."
He grinned, shaking his head and I rolled my eyes, smiling. "In short, however many births there are or however long we live for or even if there is just afterlife after this I am gonna try and ignore the annoying side of you and stick around."
"Good," he pinched my nose and I scrunched it again. "You know why?"
"Why?"
I leaned closer and kissed his cheek, "because I love you." He tightened his grip around my waist and I smiled.
"I can see that already. Shayr o shayari for me Haan?" He smirked. I pushed him again but this time he didn't move, "zyada khush mat ho. I read it somewhere. Yahan fit hui toh chipka di!"
"Copyright infringement!" He commented and I softly slapped his cheek with my forehead. "Tumse hi seekha hai."
"Dance with me," he said all of a sudden but, I shook my head. "Nahi, I am tired," I yawned as I kept my head on his shoulder.
"Then sleep," he said and I shook my head again. I lifted my face off his shoulder and kissed his cheek, letting my lips stay there for a few seconds.
"What's up with you today? Mood swings Gaye nahi?" He asked, raising an eyebrow and I giggled.
"I don't know, I just love the fact that you are my husband more than usual today," I smiled and he kissed my forehead.
Soon I pulled away, "call Waqas and ask when are they reaching. I have to get things ready."
I left him there to change and went to the kitchen where the large glass bowl was kept. I filled it with diluted milk and covered it with rose petals before dropping a ring in it that ami had given me.
"They will be here in twenty minutes," Hussain told me and I quickly walked upstairs to Shehry's room. There were 24 candles there that needed to be lit up before hand for them to make the atmosphere more romantic. Just when Hussain lit the last candle, the doorbell rang.
"They are here!" I squealed, clapping my hands as we went downstairs.
"Oye listen, don't trouble them, OK?" I warned Hussain and he widened his eyes. "Do I ever?"
I shook my head as he walked ahead to open the door. I hope he doesn't have something planned.
~~~SHEHRY's POV~~~

I kept giggling at all the cheesy comments that were being thrown at us. I just couldn't stop the stupid smile that wasn't ready to leave my face. We were sitting in the living room of our house while all these weirdos sat around us, laughing. Asmaara shyly chuckled at their comments, looking extra cute tonight. She was blushing and I found it hard to take my eyes off her.

"How about we just sneak out?" I whispered to her and She slowly shook my head. I sighed and sat back in my seat. When are these guys going to be done with us?

"And it's here!" Aisha announced as she walked in with Atif holding a glass bowl. He kept the bowl on the coffee table and took Rishab who had fallen asleep in Asmaara's arms. I shifted closer to her as Atif made Rishab lie down beside me.

"I guess you already know the rules?" Preet asked and I rolled my eyes, "get two out of three to win!"

"Pagalpanti hai yeh, aren't you guys tired?" I groaned, looking at all the cartoons who were smirking at me.

"Tired? Jhootha!" Hussain shook his head, "everyone knows how tired you are!"

"It's ok guys," Waqas sighed, "Shehry tu soja and we will keep Asmaara entertained!"

"Good idea! Kyu, hai na Asmaara?" Preet grinned giving Waqas a high wife. I watched her closely to make sure she was actually Preet. She is ganging up against me!

"Jootiyan peniyaan ne sir te toh sari kheekhi kheekhi band ho jaani aye," I warned them but they just shook their heads at me and laughed. Asmaara chuckled beside me and I raised an eyebrow at her. She Instantly stopped and looked away.

"Come on Shehry, it will only take like five minutes," Roop said. I felt a pull near my elbow and I turned to look at Asmaara. She blinked at me and I sighed.

"Chalo phir," I told them and they all circled the table. How glad I was that all the aunties were staying at the hotel and not at home.

"Tum hi nikaal Lo!" I told them and they all say back again. Asmaara chuckled again before covering her mouth and laughing a little louder. I bit my cheeks and looked away as I tried not to smile myself.

"Ayee hayeee look at his cheeks!" Atif pulled my cheek all of a sudden and I jerked his hand away. "Yaar tang na karo," Preet objected, "you two, jaldi karo na please."

Asmaara and I dipped our hands in the bowl and began searching for the ring. Suddenly my hand touched her's and I felt like she curled her fingers. I smirked to myself as I reached out and wrapped my pinky finger around one of hers. She gasped and turned to look at me, eying me to let go but, I just smiled like nothing happened. She tried pulling out her finger while trying to look as calm as possible and I bit my inner cheeks to hide my amusement.

"Itni dayr?" Preet's voice pulled us out of our mini war and as a result, we hurriedly pulled out hands out of the milk, splashing it everywhere.

"Mil gayi!" Asmaara announced and Roop, Preet and Aisha cheered for her.

"Another joru ka gulaam in making," Waqas shouted and earned a smack from Hussain. "Another matlab?"

"We have two already!" Waqas pointed at Hussain and Atif while rubbing his head.

"We just let them win because only one logic applies after you get married. And that is when girls are right, they are right but when boys are right, they better be wrong because girls are always right. Right?" Atif said in his defence.

"So hum haare ya jeetein who cares? Chalni toh inki hi hai. Plus hamara dil bara hai. Hamari haar main hi hamari jeet hai," Hussain added. Preet shook her head at him, disapprovingly.

"Oye haan chalo. Iss saal Nobel prize tum dono ka... Ab Beth jao," I told them, "I still have two turns left and I'll win it."

"Aivein?" Asmaara whispered beside me and my head jerked in her direction. "Challenge?" I asked her and she shrugged her shoulders.

"Woah! Khulla challenge!" Waqas cheered, "let's do this."

"Asmaara you have to win it," Aisha said to her and I shook my head. "Not happening."

She smacked my head from behind me and I groaned, "just because I am stating the facts!"

"For your information, I have already won it once," Asmaara's eyebrows danced as she flipped her veil to behind her back.

"Oh yeah?" I raised an eyebrow at her and she nodded. "Yeah."

"Fine let's do it then... But, whoever wins, gets something from the loser," I suggested, "deal?"

"Deal!"

Roop dropped the ring in the bowl and stirred it with her hand before Asmaara and I attacked it. They were all cheering for us, obviously it had turned into a girl versus boy thing. My hands touched something and I instantly pulled it out.

"Boo hoo!" I jeered when Asmaara rolled her eyes at me. "The last one is mine, no doubt," she said, blowing on her nails like she didn't care. I chuckled at her expressions.

"Last one!" Preet announced as this time she stirred in the ring. I pulled my sleeves back, "let's do it!"

"And lose," Asmaara added to my sentence and I eyed her.

Let's see kaise jeet ti hai.

~~~ASMAARA's POV~~~
"And lose," I added for him. I was so sure I was going to win it.
Preet counted to three and we instantly dipped our hands in the bowl. My fingers rubbed along the glass until the touched the ring. I instantly slid my finger into it before pulling it out. However, it didn't move. I tried again and this time I felt like it was pulling my finger instead. He was holding it too!
I eyed Shehry to let it go but he smiled and shook his head as he pulled it again. I wriggled my finger, trying to get a better grip as I tried pulling it again. Shehry slid his hand forward and wrapped it around my finger that was curled around the ring.
"Choro," I mouthed to him and he smirked. "Ladies first."
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. No way I am letting it go now. I have to win this.
Suddenly something rubbed against my left foot and I gasped. My eyes snapped to look at the floor and spotted Shehry's toe that was in contact with my bare skin. I pulled my foot away but he stopped it by placing his foot on the top of it. I gulped when his toe slightly traced along my ankle, sending shivers down my spine. I sucked in a deep breath to calm myself while he clearly enjoyed the moment. He made a kissy face at me and before I knew, the ring was gone.
"Cheater!" I yelled as he showed off the ring. The girls sighed while I scowled at Shehry.
"Just because I won," he stuck his tongue out at me and I narrowed my eyes at him. "You cheated, that ring was in my hand, you cheated!"
"Really? How?" He asked, smiling like he was innocent.
"You--" my words died on my lips as I looked around us. They all were staring at me, waiting for me to complete. I gulped and shook my head.
"Asmaara," Shehry urged me to speak again and I just scowled at him. His toe touched my foot again when he made a kissy face at me but, this time I moved my foot away and kicked him instead. He scrunched his face but, held the cry as everyone was watching him.
"Serves you right," I mumbled to him and he leaned closer. "Really? I'll see you in a few." I frowned as he pulled away with a smirk on his face.
"That was fun to watch," Aisha whispered in my ear all of a sudden and I flinched. I totally forgot she was behind us. Shehry looked at me and raised his eyebrows before we both grinned at each other. My cheeks flushed when everyone started laughing. They were watching us! The whole time!
"Ab ijazat ho toh hum jaayein?" Shehry asked them and they nodded together.
"Le jao... Le jao but ek shart par," Waqas said and smirked at Husain. I looked at Preet for clues but, she winked at me.
"Hussain yaar kuch toh original plan kiya hota," Shehry mockingly sighed, like he already knew what their condition was, and stood up. "Chalo," he said to me and I frowned.
Suddenly he bent down and before I knew it, his one arm slid under my knees and the other one snaked around my waist as he lifted me off the couch. I gasped at the sudden move and my cheeks flushed with embarrassment. They all cheered in the background while my eyes were fixed at Shehry's. He was smiling down at me, oblivious to his surrounding. For that moment, everything faded away.
"Yeh toh bara fast nikla," Atif commented, snapping me out of my trance. "Ab jaayein?" Shehry asked Atif.
Everyone moved and made way for us to walk between them. I clutched Shehry's shervaani's fabric as he climbed the stairs.
"You can put me down, hum gir jaayeinge," I whispered and he shook his head, smiling. "Nahi girne doonga."
"Aww!" Someone cooed behind us and I gasped. I closed my eyes and bit my lips, to hide the nervous Smile. Can they stop following us already?
"Open the door," Shehry said all of a sudden and I opened my eyes. I turned a little and twisted the knob before he stepped inside. I watched his face as he lowered me on the bed and turned around.
The room was decorated with flowers. I could smell vanilla and roses everywhere. The only light available was coming from the candles which were giving the room a romantic feel, taking my nervousness to another level.
"Ab yahan sone ka irada hai?" Shehry asked Waqas, Hussain, Atif and Aisha, keeping a his hands on his waist. I couldn't help but snicker at how frustrated he looked.
"Haan jaa rahe hein besabar insaan," Waqas commented as he dragged Hussain and Atif with him. "Good luck," Aisha winked at us before running out behind them.
I shook my head and looked down at my hands. A faint 'thud' sound suggested that Shehry had closed the door and I slowly looked up at him. He was staring right back at me and my heart flipped. It was running a marathon right now and every step that Shehry took towards me, only just increased my heartbeat's rate.
Suddenly he stopped and smiled at me. I smiled back as he raised his hand and scratched the back of his neck. I guess this was awkward for both of us.
I stood up, walked around the bed and stopped near the large window, sucking in the fresh air. It cooled my burning cheeks down but that didn't very last long as I felt Shehry's hand on mine. I gulped as I turned to look at him. He smiled at me and I turned to look at the night sky again.
"Aaj kitna kuch badal gaya na," I voiced my thoughts and looked at him again. He nodded as he turned around to lean again the window sill.
"Mera naam, address... like a whole new identity," I added, chuckling, and he nodded again.
"Pata hai, when I used to watch your videos years ago, I didn't think I will ever end up with you. Not even in my wildest dream. Like even when we met three years ago. Preet itna gussa hoti thi Hussain par.... Laga hi nahi tha ki ek doosre ko jaan ne ka mauka milega," I shook my head, remembering our first meeting, and he just simply nodded again.
"Am I talking nonsense here? Bore kar rahi hoon tumhein?" I frowned at him and he nodded as 'no' this time. I huffed when he didn't say anything... Yet again.
"Fine," I folded my arms in front of my chest, "Nahi karni baat toh mat karo. Allah Hafiz."
I turned around to leave him there when he tugged on to my arm. I gasped when he jerked me to face him. My skin burnt under his firm grip.
"Sheh...." My whisper was cut short as Shehry leaned in and the next thing I knew was that his lips were on mine. He slowly kissed me, sending shivers through my spine, while I stood there, stunned. It was when his hands cupped my cheeks that I realised exactly what was going on.
Giving my lips a soft peck, he pulled away and attached his forehead to mine. "Sorry," he mumbled and embarrassed, I hid my flushed cheeks in his chest.
I must have made it pretty awkward for him.
He chuckled, stepping backwards, and held my shoulders. "Sorry," I mumbled, looking at the floor.
He rested his finger under my chin and made me look up into his eyes, "hey... Don't be. I should have asked."
I shook my head and silence took over us which he broke. He brought his hand forward and went down on his knees.
"Dance?" He asked and I rolled my eyes. "No."
"Oh come on! I am only asking for a dance... Not maroing chance," he pouted, reminding me of the day when he had asked me to dance in Christchurch. I chuckled at his expressions and he straightened them.
"Please?" He asked but, I shook my head. "I can't dance in this heavy outfit... At least not in this dupatta. I feel like my neck will snap in to two pieces any second."
He frowned at me and got up, "bas? Take it off then."
"It's gonna take hours," I sighed and he rolled his eyes. "Let me help you then." Before I could say anything, he dragged me to the dressing table and made me sit down on the stool.
"How many are there?" He asked once he had pick about sixteen pins from my hair. I chuckled at how tired he looked of these hair pins.
"About ten more to go," I told him.
"Itna sambhal kar toh koi apna naya iPhone bhi nahi rakhta hoga," he rolled his eyes and I raised my eyebrows at him. "You are comparing me with an iPhone?"
"Nope," he shook his head, "just your beauty."
"Ahan?"
He stopped at looked at me through the mirror, "did I tell you how beautiful you look today?"
I bit the insides of my cheeks and simply nodded, "three times."
I raised my three fingers and gasped when he captured my index finger between his teeth. He pulled away slightly and kissed the tip of it. I slowly curled my fingers and pulled my hand down again.
"You know you could have just blushed and accepted the compliment and then I could have complimented your blush," he rolled his eyes, "but you just had to ruin the moment."
I bit my bottom lip and pouted, looking at him through the mirror. "Sorry?" I held my ears and he chuckled before detaching my hands from my ears.
"I have a better way for you to apologise," he said and I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Just wait," he whispered, reading my confused expressions, and bent down to kiss my cheek. I watched as he opened the cupboard.
"Remember this?" He asked as he picked up a mini jar that was kept on the top shelf.
Yes, I do.
