Avni was being treated in the hospital while Neil waited outside the room. He had apologized to her already for the accident and had offered to help her file and FIR against him if she wanted! Avni was actually amazed at this offer! This showed that Neil was a principled man. Avni felt bad about what she had set out to do. In order to ensure riya and dayawanti don't get happy, she will have to destroy Neil as well. He was just collateral damage.

Neil was not sure why he still waited. Doctor had already told him that her wound was superficial and she probably slightly fainted due to weakness and shock of the accident.

Once the doctor came out, Neil went inside. He saw ananya sitting on the bed, looking much better now that she was bandaged. She looked up at him innocently as he walked in, and his heart skipped a beat! Neil was not sure why this girl was having such an affect on him. This had not happened before to him since... Since Juhi!

Neil -"how are you feeling now?"

Ananya -"much better. Thanks for the help mr!? What was your name again?"

Neil (smiled and extended his hand to her for shaking it) -"Neil... Neil khanna"

Ananya (smiling cutely which again made Neil's heartbeat faster and mouth drier) -"OK Mr Neil khanna... Aap bahut achche insaan ho. In this world people don't help like this normally. There are more hit and run cases than there are good Samaritans!"(You're a very good guy)

Neil looked at her seriously. This girl had something different about her. It was an aura of sadness that he was unable to understand or penetrate.

Neil -"ananya. Kahan rehti ho tum? I'll drop you there as its late and you're injured. Also we will buy medicines for you on the way. "(Where do you live?)

Ananya -"it's OK Neil. You've already helped me a lot. But I can manage from here"

Neil nodded his being OK on that. But he was not OK. He couldn't understand why but he wasn't ready to leave this girl yet. He felt as if she needed somebody to take care of her. He felt as if she was fragile. Still she had openly declined his offer to drop her home. He couldn't do much after that.

Neil -"OK. Let me complete the formalities and I'll get you a cab"

After sometime Neil and ananya walked out of the hospital. He hailed a cab for her. As ananya walked towards the cab, Neil noticed her limping slightly that she was trying to mask unsuccessfully.

Neil exclaimed -"ananya!.." As he lunged forward to help her , "Yar you cannot walk well by your own. Tum ab bhi trust nahi Karti kya? I'm trying to help you here and feeling bad about having caused your accident! I'm sorry par main iss haal mein nahi chodd sakta hoon tumhe. Can I just drop you home pls. You can check my police ID again. I won't harm you!"(Do you still not trust me?.. I'm sorry but I can't just leave you in his condition)

Ananya 's eyes showed a hint of emotion at this. And then she got normal and said -"Neil. I'm sorry to have made you feel bad. It's OK I can manage on my own. Mujhe aadat Hai! But thik Hai. If this will make you feel better pls come along". Saying this she went inside the car. And neil went and sat in the front with the cab driver. He couldn't offer taking his car along as its front lights were broken since the accident. Luckily they hadn't hurt ananya!

Ananya and neil did not talk throughout the way. And then ananya got down in front of a bunglaw. Neil got down to help her till the door of her house.

On the garden path leading towards the door, ananya started limping badly . She looked tired as well now. The incident had taken a toll on her which was showing. Neil couldn't take it anymore.

Neil -"ananya. Let me help you. I'll just support you a little as you walk. My hand Is by your side. You can take the support whenever you want as per your comfort. "

Ananya looked tired and nodded at this. She then held Neil's hand as she took her next baby step and winced in pain. It seemed that a sprain was developing due to some sudden twist during the accident.

Neil was now supporting ananya heavily by putting one hand around her and holding her hand with his other hand. Without his support ananya could not have made to the door without much more difficulty and pain.

He asked for her keys and opened the door for her. He then watched her enter and about to close the door. Then suddenly ananya opened the door again and Neil's face showed a slight tremor of joy. He was getting to spend probably two more minutes with her! Neil didn't understand what was happening to him. Why was he so taken with her? Did he have a connection with her? He knew he didn't love riya but he hadn't felt this feeling of caring so quickly before even for juhi. He hardly knew ananya for some hours!

Ananya -"Neil. Thanks. For helping out today. I just want to thank you for dropping me till here. It would be nice to meet for a cup of coffee some other day "

Neil knew he was engaged already. That he was supposed to marry riya as his mom wanted. Neil had given up on love after his ex girlfriend juhi had died in a tragic accident.  But after ananya said the above sentence he felt like a teenager suddenly. The sadness at leaving her was replaced by a joy in his heart that he will see her again. Neil knew he should say no to ananya as meeting her again with his growing feelings for her would be unfair and wrong. He started to say no.

Neil -"ananya...I.. U would.. I would like that very much. Whenever you are comfortable to do so. Till then you can reach me on this phone number.". He then gave her his official visiting card!

Ananya smiled at this and tucked a strand of hair that had slid in the front of her hair. Suddenly Neil felt he wanted to set her strand straight behind her ear and he clinched his fist to stop himself from doing that! He was falling in love. And he was falling in love fast!

Neil -"achha hope your parents or friends are in the house. Or do you want me to call them? There should be someone to take care of you at home right now.."

Ananya looked at him blankly. And then Neil thought again that he saw a sliver of emotion cross her eyes. And then just like that she was normal as she spoke -"Neil.. Actually I live alone. I just had my mom and she died in an accident some years back. But I can take care of myself so don't worry"

Ananya smiled coyly and then closed the door. Neil kept on standing outside for two minutes, stunned at what he had heard. This girl was really brave! She was unlike any girl he had met or seen.

He then walked away from her door and as he walked there was a new spring in his step! He was humming a song to himself subconsciously and he realized it was -'tu hi safar Mera.. Tu hi Hai meri manzil.. Tere Bina guzaara..ae dil Hai mushkil!'(You are my journey. You're my destination. Without you survival..Is difficult my heart)
