"Where have you been, Tae?" the boy with a mint coloured hair said to the redhead. He was sitting on his bike while holding his helmet. He held out another one to Taehyung and the other took it gently. "Latte." Taehyung replied short as he gave the cup of coffee he bought to the grumpy one and wore the helmet he just took.
The green hair boy opened the cover, making a disgusted face when he finds out that the coffee is not full. "This random dude bumped into me while I was on the way from the cafe. I don't know why but Jungkook's scent is on him though." the scarlet hopped behind the other, ready to go.
"So you're gonna ask Jungkook if he's dating that random dude?" the green hair boy said, swallowing his coffee in one go and tossed the cup into a nearby bin. Taehyung didn't seem to want to answer so he puts on his helmet and starts his bike. "Jungkook's, right?" he continued.
The scarlet hair boy just hummed and hold onto the other's jacket tight when the other turned the bike with ease while producing a loud screech, making some people that were passing by to look at their way.
They stopped in front of a building that has Diamond Apartment stated on the wall besides the entrance. Taehyung got off and handed his helmet to the other. "I'll get home by train, Suga. Tell Mom not to wait for me." he said while looking at the side mirror, fixing his hair. He took out his phone and dialled Jungkook's number and turned to run into the lobby when the other grabbed his arm, making him to look back.
"I'll pick you up, Taehyung." Yoongi said and lets go of his arm. Before he left Taehyung with smokes he told him that he'll pick him up in the evening. Taehyung pouted and went inside the building. His phone is still at the side of his ear when he was walking towards the lift and turned the button that goes up.
He went into the lift once the door is open and pressed the button for the top floor. He leaned his back on the wall, waiting for the lift to reach the floor that he's heading. The beep on his phone annoys him so he hung up and furiously walked out of the lift when the lift made a bing sound and opens the door.
There was only one door on the top floor because it was supposed to be a penthouse. Taehyung barged into the house as if it was his and shouts "JUNGKOOK!" but didn't get any response. After a few seconds, he saw a figure at the second floor, staring back at him with a green headphone on his head. The boy jumped down from the second floor and stood up as if the jump didn't even hurt. He was wearing a white shirt and a sweatpants.
"Sup" Jungkook said to the raging boy that's standing at his front door. He walked slowly to the TV and turned on his gaming console. His back was facing Taehyung when he was choosing a game to play and he could feel the other's gaze piercing through his back.
"What are you so mad about, huh?" Jungkook said, throwing the controller that he just used to pick the game, on the sofa and pulled his headphones down to his neck to listen to Taehyung's outrage. Taehyung just sighed at the younger. It wouldn't change Jungkook's habit anyway if he kept on being mad at him.
"Why didn't you answer my call?" Taehyung asked while closing the door behind him, eyes still locked on Jungkook's. He took off his sneakers and set it on the shoe rack beside the front door.
"Hmm..was it important?" Jungkook replied casually and sat on the sofa.
Taehyung just hit Jungkook's shoulder playfully in return. He hates it when Jungkook doesn't answer his call but that's what he usually do. He'd probably ignore or declined it instantly. Taehyung knew sometimes Jungkook wouldn't be alone at this big apartment even though he lives alone there and Taehyung could clearly smell an omega on Jungkook.
"You got someone up there?" Taehyung asked as he sat beside Jungkook who's focused on choosing an avatar for the fight. They were playing Tekken 6 and Jungkook is really good at it. Never once Taehyung beat him in this game. He also went to a tournament once and got in the first place.
"What are you talking about, hyung?" Jungkook asked and looked at Taehyung after he chose Dragunov to be his avatar for the fight. Taehyung just grinned and hit him playfully. He looked over to the TV and was about to choose Paul when Jungkook grabbed the controller he's holding.
"Seriously. What are you talking about?" Jungkook asked again, now sounding mad.
"I was talking about if you slept with an omega or something because wow~ you're drenched with its smell." Taehyung joked.
"I know you don't wanna talk about it since it's your first time but.." Taehyung couldn't even finish his sentence yet when Jungkook grabbed him by the collar and bring his face closer to his. Taehyung fucked up. He regrets just spitting out random words especially when it's about sex. He may be the only who knows about Jungkook helped people when they're in heats but he never knew the details of it. Like maybe if Jungkook was in a relationship with an omega or an alpha. Never. Not even one.
Jungkook may be friendly with people and smile all the time but that doesn't mean he couldn't get mad easily. "Stop talking or I'll send you back home." Jungkook whispered in Taehyung's face and lets him go. He tossed the controller back to Taehyung and waited for him to pick his avatar.
They played the game in silence and Taehyung knew that Jungkook was angry just by the way he hits the buttons on his controller. He was grateful that he was not the controller at that moment because wow it looks like it's gonna break into pieces.
"Why didn't you come to school today?" Jungkook suddenly blurted out. Taehyung took a few minutes to process the words that Jungkook just said and smiled widely. He slung an arm around the younger and muffled his hair.
"Is that why you didn't answer my call? You're mad at me for not going to school and you miss your Taetae?" the scarlet hair boy joked again. Taehyung really doesn't know when to joke but that's the reason why he has so many friends. He's comfortable with everyone, even the strongest alpha in school that is sitting next to him right now.
"Cut it out." Jungkook pushed the older away and fixed his hair. "Why would I miss you? Besides, it's just the second week of school, hyung. Don't skip school." the younger said, focusing back onto the game. Taehyung find this side of Jungkook really cute. The way he cared for him even though he always pisses him off, as if like Jungkook was the one who's older and more mature.
"I was out doing some work." Taehyung said, looking back at the game. It is true. He went to work instead of school. It's not that he doesn't want to go to school and spend time with his friends but it's because he had to. Since his father got ill, both he and Yoongi had to work for his father's hospital bills.
Their mother did work for it but the income is just not enough and he never told any of his friends about this. He doesn't want them to feel bad for him but Jungkook on the other hand, knew he had family problems so he'd always support him in giving him vouchers and sometimes he'd buy clothes for Taehyung.
"You're not doing some drug dealings, are you?" the other asked and he just shook his head in return. "Don't worry about me, Jungkook." the older said. Even if Jungkook's gaze was fixed on the game, he could still see the smile that was forming on his best friend's face, making him to smile too.
After a few hours of playing Tekken and getting whines from Taehyung because he kept losing, the apartment was once again quiet when Yoongi picked Taehyung up. Jungkook opened the fridge and took the banana milk at the side. "This place does get lonely when Taehyung is not here." he mumbled to himself before he sips the milk and got back upstairs.
