Avni had walked out of the room without speaking a word in her defense!

It  took everyone sometime to realise what had happened, including to Prakash. He felt something had gone very very wrong.

Prakash -"Shweta ji ye kya kiya aapne.."( What have u done)

Shweta just shook her head in triumph and smirked. Riya's happiness knew no bounds as well. She was openly smiling now!

Bebe and Neil remained quiet. Bebe looked shocked but Neil was impassive and his eyes were hard. It was as if he was still thinking of the same scene that he walked in upon of Ali and Avni embracing.

Bebe -"Prakash. Jo bhi Hua achha nahi Hua. I feel cheated by my own family. Why didn't you guys tell me what had happened during the marriage.. That Neil was to marry Riya. And that ananya loved Ali!"(Whatever happened wasn't good)

Ali was having a very bad headache by now. But he did not care. The worst had happened and he had to bear witness to it. He didn't care about his health anymore. He sat up in the bed in a rage. Neil and everyone else looked up at this in amazement. As Ali jerked to sit up, some tubes that were feeding him saline and medicines etc came out..

Ali -"khush ho Gaye sab? Neil khush? Can't see the victory on your face though. Shweta ji, waise 'ji' nahi bolna chahiye ab since it seems aap logon ne Avni se rishta tod diya  Hai. So let me call you what you deserve to be called - a Predator, an animal.."(Are all happy now? Neil happy?...respected Shweta..actually shouldn't call u respected as now you guys have broken relationship with avni...)

Everyone looked at him, too stunned to react. Only Shweta, Riya and Neil knew Ananya's real name to be Avni, and only Neil knew the entire truth about her past.

Ali -"shock laga na? She's called avni and not ananya. She's a character less and cheating wife anyways in your eyes. How does it matter if you accept her to be a liar and a fraud as well!"( Shocked?..)

"You guys wanted to know that what's my and Avni's relation. So here it is. That relationship is more pure than anyone of you can ever imagine. As your minds are full of filth and bias towards that girl. Let me tell you about the avni I know. And even i don't claim to know her very well as I thought she was dead when growing up. (at this Ali's eyes started watering).."

"Avni was dead as she was shot with a bullet in her heart at the age of 10-11 by no one other than this serpent Riya's grandmother Dayawanti, who was also Avni's grandmother. Avni's father and dayawanti's son, whom dayawanti herself killed by the way, Ashish Mehta could never provide Avni and her mom Ayesha a decent status in the society! Avni at that age went through that level of pain that many of us dont even go through in our entire lives"

"I love Avni in all forms and neil knows this for years now. But Avni stayed true to neil. I don't know if  she loved him as for her survival came first, so I dont know if Avni is capable of loving someone in a romantic way. She had to survive in many ways - To survive a bullet wound, to survive death of your parent by a grand parent, to survive social stigma of being born out of wedlock. But she never cheated Neil, never. My avni can't cheat, she's pure. She's.."

Ali broke down after this. He had started crying somewhere in the middle of his story.

At the same time nanno entered the room. Seeing her Ali started weeping openly. He was amongst enemies in this fragile state and finally his nanno was there.

Nanno -"ya Allah. Ali! Kaise Hua ye. Neil! Kaisa Hua beta. Aur mori Avn- mera matlab ananya Kahan Hai?"( God! How did this happen? Neil. What's this? And where's ananya?)

Nanno had many questions in her eyes and no one to answer them.

Ali continued his rant in pain - "Neil you know what. I got really angry with Avni when she married you to save Khanna family and you from marrying into Dayawanti's family, who just wanted your money and to use you. Avni never wanted to use you.

Infact my Avni found a family in you somehow. I was unable to understand her thought process but when I see her love for Bebe, for your parents, I think I know what was driving her! A family was the only thing Avni wanted all her life, that was denied to her from her birth."

Bebe by now was openly weeping and hitting her chest in grief. She could not process what she had said and done - but knew enough to realise that a very grave error was made by her - by hurting an innocent girl. This was all too much for her fragile state of health.

Shweta just had her mouth open and Riya looked at Ali venomously as if she would kill him for telling the truth.

Ali - "Waise it is very strange Shweta 'ji', you are ok to have Riya, a murderer's granddaughter living at your house. Who wanted to marry Neil for his money. Who ran away before her marriage to Neil. But not Avni, who was a victim, who was craving love and family, who was pure. Wah! You are indeed very intelligent!"( By the way...wow..)

Ali - "Neil, sometimes I wished I were you. That I had married Avni. That I had a family like yours so that she didnt have to stay with you. But seeing these people, I dont wish that now. I could not protect my Avni from you.. (Ali broke down)"

Neil 's face was no longer impassive. He looked vulnerable, shocked, disgusted with everyone and everything.

Ali - "i dont know what is in Avni's past that a truck was about to kill her today intentionally. But instead of investigating that Neil, you found it better to blame her. Actually good ! She saw your truth. You made her feel worthless, unloved. Thanks Neil, we tried making Avni feel, but thanks to you and your great family, I am afraid we might have lost her forever..."

Neil spoke finally (hoarse voice) - "Truck was to kill Avni?..Ali pls tell me"

Ali - "Arre rehen do ye natak Neil. Main to.."(Stop this drama..I'm..)

And then Ali suddenly felt giddy, he was way too weak and the few wires and instruments tapped into him to measure his vitals started beeping.

Neil ran out shouting for the nurse to come. They all were soon ushered out of the room as doctor went in.

It was a long wait for everyone after that. Shweta and Riya left for home with Bebe who was not feeling well and who could not stop crying.

Neil and his dad Prakash waited outside Ali's door alongwith Nanno was who weeping as well. Neil had a stone face on, he could not face his dad or Nanno. Prakash looked at his son, he knew Neil is undergoing emotions that cannot be expressed into words but decided best not to disturb him. Prakash was worried about Avni, but assumed she has left for Nanno's place or Neela's place by now as he didnt expect her to come to Khanna house after all this!

The doctor came out and announced that Ali had had a major trauma mentally and hence they have given him sedatives and he is asleep. They said that it is essential for Ali's health that everything and everyone disturbing him leaves and doesnt see him till he recovers. Nanno was crying, Prakash walked upto her and put his hand on her shoulder.

Prakash - "Dont worry pls. I know my family has messed up. but I can see them feeling the pain for it now. Aap Ali pe focus karo. I will send a couple of my office helpers to help you with everything till Ali recovers..Neil and I will leave now.."(..focus on Ali..)

Saying this Prakash looked around and saw Neil was not to be seen. Prakash called Neil's phone but Neil cut the call. Prakash understood that Neil needed sometime with himself...
