You told me to forget the past

And hold onto my present life

But it was always going to haunt me

The memories were going to be  there for a lifetime 

I told myself it was going to be okay soon

And kept myself from falling apart 

But the regrets kept taking place 

And soon I was nothing but a lonely star

It was never just one thing 

It was not always a last mistake 

I kept losing myself from time to time 

Because of the wrong steps I used to take 

Now my mind's filled with the killing thoughts 

They keep pushing me, telling me how to end

All the troubles that I once caused 

How to end my life for it to be okay again.
