Percy's Point of View

~Time Skip~

"Percy! Come downstairs! It's time for school!"My mom, Sally Jackson, shouted from the kitchen.

More like it's time for Tartarus, I grumbled under my breath. I grabbed the first pair of pants, shirt, and hoodie I saw, not caring to see if they matched or not and slipped them on. I rushed down stairs, a smile plastered on my face!

"Mom........."

"Yes?"

"Did you forget?"

"Forget what?"Sally asked, in a mock innocent tone.

I held out my hand,"Hand it over."

She groaned as she took out the plastic container from within a cupboard,"Aren't you too old to eat blue cookies?"

"You're never too old to eat blue cookies!"I exclaimed through a mouthful of blue cookies so it sounded like I was saying,"Ya nebuh too ode to eat bwue cookes!"

"Bye! Love you mom!"I said,rushing to school, hoping to not to be late as to not create a good first impression.

"Bye! I love you too Percy!"Sally called after me.

As soon as I walked through the doorway, I bolted to the principal's office. I panted as I approached the principal who seemed to have his back turned against me as he was talking on the phone. I noted that he was sitting on a wheel chair. I coughed from the back of my throat, making my presence known.

"Gah!"he exclaimed turning around. "My! You scared me youngling. I am Principal Chiron Brunner, but please! Call me Chrion. May I help you?"

I replied,"Yeah. I need to get my class schedule and locker combination Mr.Brun- I mean Chrion."

"Oh, yes! Here it is! Here is your schedule Perseus,"Chiron said, handing me my schedule. "You may create your own locker combination and tell me after school today, so I can get you all set."

"Thank you, Chrion. By the way it's just Percy,"I said nodding me head in acknowledgment and gratitude.

"Welcome to Goode, Just Percy!"Chrion called after me as I was walking to class.

Although I had buried my head in my hands as students passed by me, snickering, I was trying hard to stifle a laugh myself. I looked up from my hands and grinned, this is going to be a great year.
