It was silent as we began to walk. Not a word from either of us as we both awkwardly kept our distance. He had his hands stuffed in his pockets. I was holding his snapback, just playing with the eyelet of it.

I couldnt stand the quietness, so I playfully bumped into him. Once he directed his attention from the ground to me, a giant smile appeared on his face.

"So what were you talking to the policeman about?" I asked, letting my curiosity get the best of me.

I waited for a response, but I never got one. Instead he just kept his smile on his face and walked. He began to walk in front of me, backwards so that we were face to face. I thought he was going to take my hand, but instead he pulled at the strings on my sweatshirt.

Him tugging at the strings made me walk faster, if I didnt keep up he'd probably end up chocking me, and I'm not ready for that yet. (A/N: ...yet).

There came a point where I stumbled a bit, but he caught me so I wasnt too upset. However, he was laughing so hard that I had something different to be upset about.

Stupid Colby.

"You can let me go you know..." I said as I stopped walking.

Once he stopped walking too I crossed my arms and waited for him to let go, but he didnt. Instead he got closer to me and twirled his finger around one of the strings. I could feel my face getting hot. He smirked and I knew it was only because I'm embarrassed.

Most people would have taken this time to kiss their crush, but I chose to take this time to return his hat to him. I set it on his head and pulled the bill down so that it covered his eyes. He untangled his finger from my sweatshirts string to fix the hat on his head, which meant I was free from him.

I began to walk away from him as he stood their fixing his hair and hat, which really didnt go according to plan since he stopped me and turned me around. Once I was facing him, I realized we were only a little bit apart.

Our noses almost touched, I could feel his breath against my lips, and his hand was gripping my hip. I stared into his bright eyes, its not like there was anywhere else to look. He leaned in slowly and pecked my lips, no more, no less. Just like before, I wasnt sure how to react. I could tell he knew that, so he reacted for me by pecking my lips again. However, it wasnt a peck this time. This one was a little more than a peck and as he pulled away, his teeth tugged at my button lip a little.

I still stood frozen, unsure where to place my hands, unsure if I should say something, unsure if I should even kiss back, unsure if it was all just one of his stupid 'just kidding' moments.

Of course, Colby being him, chose for me. He pressed his lips against mine again, and this time he didnt pull away. This time he left his lips lingering on mine, and this time I actually kissed him back. His hand dug into my hip and I turned my body to be a little more comfortable. I slung my arms over his shoulders and lazily messed with the few strands that hung out from beneath his hat. 

Our lips moved in sync and I felt his tongue flick my bottom lip. I of course opened my mouth a little more so that he could shove his tongue down my throat.

I've never actually made out with someone before, so I had no clue what to do with my tongue. Do I touch his? Do I just not move it while his explores my mouth? I just dont know.

I pulled away and as I did, I moved my hands from the back of his head, to cupping his cheeks. We both breathed heavily as we looked into each others eyes.

I still couldnt read his emotions, so I was still unsure what any of this really meant to him. However, that doesnt matter because only moments later, I got my answer.

"Just kidding" he whispered to me.
