You run through the control room, giggling as Hux tries to grab you. "Y/N, please, come here!" He exclaims exasperatedly.
Hux found you, a four year old girl, a few weeks ago. Out of pity, he has taken you under his wing until he can figure out what to do with you. You've grown attached to him and Kylo. Though Kylo acts like he wants nothing to do with you, deep down he likes you a lot.
You stop, hiding behind a chair. You pop your head out, grinning. "No, mommy." You say, before tearing off again. Hux shakes his head at the use of "Mommy" and continues to chase you.
You run into Kylo's legs unexpectedly and stumble backwards. "Y/N!" Kylo chides, grabbing your arms to keep you from toppling over. "Don't run through the control room. It's dangerous in here. Especially when we're trying to win a war here." He reprimands, glancing at the Resistance and the First Order fighting in sky.
"Yes, daddy." You reply quietly. Kylo snaps his head up and glares at Hux. Hux shrugs.
"She refuses to call us by our names, Kylo. I've told her not to call us that but she's adamant." He explains.
Kylo takes in a deep breath and kneels before you, his hands on your shoulder. "Y/N, you have to listen to me. We are not related, okay? We aren't your family. Once we find you a home, you're going to have a real family." He states.
Your bottom lip trembles and tears fill your eyes.
"Kylo." Hux gasps. "Now you're making her cry!" He exclaims.
"We can't have her growing attached to us, Hux, because then neither of us will want to let her go." Kylo says.
You hiccup a sob and Hux pulls you into his arms, holding you tightly, while glaring at Kylo. Hux pulls back and gently wipes away your tears.
"Y/N, honey, why don't we play hide and seek?" He asks. You immediately brighten.
"Sure." You say.
"Daddy, do you want to play?" You ask, looking at Kylo. Kylo's shoulders slump just as a storm trooper comes up to him.
"Sir, we have word that FN-2187, Han Solo, and a Wookie have taken the scavenger." He informs.
Kylo clenches his fist and then looks to you. "Not today, Y/N. I have some business to take care of." He says, before walking off.
"Come on, Y/N. Let's play. I'll seek and you hide." Hux says.

"Y/N!" Hux screams as Star Killer Base is in the process of exploding. Hux and you have been playing hide and seek for a bit. Most of the time while Hux was supposed to be seeking, he was busy commanding the First Order fighters. You had actually come out of your hiding spots a few times to find out why it was taking him so long to find you. Now, after you had just gone into hiding yet again, Hux has gotten word from Kylo that the thermal oscillators are down and the Resistance is going to blow up Star Killer Base. Everyone is evacuating.
"Y/N!" Hux screams again, his voice cracking, panic tinging his voice.
"Hux!" Kylo shouts, coming up to Hux. His face cut and he holds his bloody side, wincing. "Where's Y/N?" He asks, his eyes looking over the falling about control center.
"I don't know!" Hux exclaims, overwhelmed. "I don't know where she is, Kylo." He whispers, his eyes wide with fear.
"Find her." Kylo grits out, before limping down the hall, screaming your name, his own fear for you becoming almost overwhelming.

You cower in a corner, your arms covering your head, as an explosion sounds and the ground rumbles. Plaster from the ceiling shatters on to the ground and you whimper.
"Y/N!" You hear Kylo yelling.
You lift your head. "Daddy!" You scream, sobbing. The door opens and Kylo enters, clearly injured. As soon as he sighs you, relief cover his panic stricken face.
"Y/N." He breathes as you rush into his arms, crying. "Now, now, Y/N. This isn't the time for this. We need to get out of here before it blows." Kylo whispers. With a groan he picks you up into his arms and walks you out of the room. He meets Hux in the hangar.
"You have her." Hux sighs with relief. He tries to take you out of Kylo's arms but Kylo holds you tightly, refusing to let you go.
"No. You need to fly a ship. Let's go." Kylo says. Hux pulls up straight and follows Kylo on to the ship. Kylo sits in the cockpit, you still in his arms. Hux sits in his chair and starts flying.
You reach over and slide your hand into Hux's as you lean your head against Kylo's chest. Hux smiles at you. Kylo places the smallest kiss on your head and then stares straight ahead, his jaw.

     You sit on a chair, spinning in a circle, as Hux and Kylo talk to Supreme Leader Snoke through a hologram.
     "Come to me." Snoke commands. "We need to figure out what our next move is going to be now that Starkiller Base has been destroyed."

     "What should we do with Y/N?" Kylo asks.

     "What do you mean?" Snoke scoffs. "Just dump her off at the nearest planet. She's been with you far too long as it is." He adds.

     "No!" Kylo and Hux shout at the exact same time, making you stop spinning in circles. You stare at them, your eyes wide.

     "No. We are not just dumping her off at the nearest planet, Supreme Leader." Hux says lowly, trying to remain calm.

     "Why ever not? You're not her parents. She doesn't have any. She's not your responsibility." Snoke says.

     "With all do respect, she is our responsibility. We took her in and now she's ours." Kylo states. "I can't lose her, Supreme Leader. When I thought she was lost on Starkiller Base, I almost couldn't bare it. I never planned to get attached to Y/N, but I did. And I don't want to let her go. Ever. I don't want to give her away. I want her to stay with me." He explains. "I-I love her." He admits.

     "I agree with Kylo. I've come to love Y/N like she is my own daughter, and I'm not giving her up." Hux says defiantly, crossing his arms over his chest. Snoke looks between the two men.

     "You've got to be joking." He scoffs.

     "We're serious, Surpreme Leader." Kylo insists.

     "Dead serious." Hux adds.

     A long minute passes by of just Snoke looking at Hux and Kylo. You sense the tension and crawl up into Kylo's lap while holding Hux's hand in yours. Snoke looks at you and slowly shakes his head, making Kylo wrap his arms around you protectively.

     "If you can't except Y/N, I'm leaving the First Order." Kylo states.

     "That goes for me too." Hux throws in.

     "Look at you. Both of you are fierce soldiers and yet you're willing to give up everything for some little girl." Snoke says.

     "She's not just some little girl. She's so much more than that. She's funny, spunky, determined, and loving. I can't imagine my life without her." Hux says, smiling at you. You smile back.

     "Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine. Keep her." Snoke says, aggravated. He pegs Kylo and Hux with a look. "But she's your responsibility." He adds.

     "We know, Supreme Leader." Kylo says.

      "Come to me, Hux and Kylo. Come to me now." Snoke commands, before the hologram fades off.

     Kylo hugs you tightly. "Mm, I love you so much." He says. You hug him back.

     "I love you too." You reply. "You're not leaving me, right?" You ask Hux and Kylo. Hux leans forward and picks up your hands.

     "Never, Y/N. You're ours. We're your family now." He says, smiling. You squeal and throw yourself into his arms. Kylo laughs.

     "Come on, we better get to Snoke." He says.
