Laughter reigned, sweet and melodic as two children ran through the forest, a boy and a girl chased each other in a game of tag. The trees swayed in the wind as the sun shone brightly, the weather reflecting the  mood of the children.

The little girl fell down, she had not seen the twine that was raised from the ground however she did not cry out loud, alarmed the little boy ran to her side and helped her up, brushing leaves and dirt off the little skinny girl's body and hair.

"Are you hurt?" He asked.

The little girl nodded with her face scrunched up and tears running down her cheeks, causing more dirt to fall from her hair which was in two braids on top her head .

"Where?" The little boy asked with compassion in his voice as he looked the little girl over. She showed him her elbow which was bruised and had blood oozing out.

"Sorry, come." said the little boy. "We will wash it in the river and apply some herds to it so it hurts less and doesn't leave a scar." He took the little girls hand and together they set off towards the river.

"It's OK." The little said as she shrugged her shoulders, "you can't protect me from every thing, besides I wasn't looking as I ran. It was an accident."

"I know." Said the little boy as they arrived at the river bank, his face scrunched up, "but I will do my best to, you shouldn't hurt yourself every time we play."

The girl smiled then winced as the water touched her elbow, "I'll be fine."
