Chapter 2
I couldn't believe what I just heard. "WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING FROM ME?!" I burst out yelling, instantly regretting it.
They responded saying "We don't know anything else, except you have an older brother, his name is Harry. I'm sure he currently attends Hogwarts. I heard he is famous because the man who murdered your parents tried to murder him. But he lived, and has the same scar you have." I think my mind short-circuited while I was trying to process all of this information.
"I- I- wha- uh" I stuttered, looking like a complete fool.
"Do you want to go?" My parents ask. I nodded, unable to find words to put in my mouth. "Since it's quite early, we should go today." I simply nodded again and dragged my feet up the stairs and into my room, plopping onto my bed and then promptly passing out.
I woke up to my mum shaking me, "It's time to go," she said. I got up changed out of my PJs, and took a bag. "Oh, you won't be needing that. We'll put your books in the cauldron." I put the bag down slipped on my sneakers and walked out of the house, still trying to process what was going on. 'I have another brother?!' I thought to myself.
We took Dad's car to London and I looked around for wand shops and whatever wizards sell, but there are none to be found.
As we exited the car I asked "Are you sure there are going to be wand shops in London? I know London is a big place but I don't see wizards strolling around."
My parents looked at each other and laughed, "You think this is a prank? You'll find everything on that list if you go to the right place." I looked at them skeptically but gave in. We stopped in front of a place called the "Leaky Cauldron" We walked inside and they asked for someone to help us get into a place called "Diagon Alley" -rather odd name isn't it? We walked to the back of the pub and a brick wall was there, and the man pulled out a... wand?! And tapped a couple of bricks and the bricks slowly became an archway leading into a busy street filled with shops, and they weren't normal shops- they were magic shops!
"I recommend going into Gringotts Bank, and trying to get a loan." My parents nodded and walked towards this strange-looking bank. A man at the door greeted us, but wait... that's not a man- it's a goblin. I grab onto my mum's arm and refuse to let go when she tells me to.
Then they pulled out a key, handed it to another goblin, and asked "We need to go to vault 687." He looked at the key and nodded. He stepped off the stand and motioned for us to follow him. There I saw a mine cart. I stepped in following my parents and the goblin. The next minute was a blur, literally. I couldn't even see clearly, for the cart was moving so fast. Thankfully we started to slow down. I hopped out of the cart and fell face forward, and my parents rushed to pick me up. I was so disoriented that I started talking to a door thinking that it was my mum. As my vision became steady I realized all three of them were looking at me and I started to blush from embarrassment.
"I recommend you step back." The goblin said. We stepped back two paces and watched him insert the key, but as the vault opened I became awestruck.
"WHEN DID WE HAVE THIS MUCH MONEY?!" My parents shrugged and pulled out a small bag took a pile of gold, silver, and bronze coins, and dumped it into the bag. Once they were finished, we stepped into the cart again and I groaned.
Once we left the bank I rushed over to the nearest trash can and vomited. I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder and I turned my head to see and pretty ginger, around my age, with a concerned look on her face.
"Excuse me, are you alright?"
I nodded and said, "Just came out of Gringotts, but thank you for asking" She smiled and walked back to her family, and that's when I noticed a boy staring at me. He had glasses and messy jet-black hair. I looked at him directly in his eyes and he dropped his gaze. I walked back to my parents, to see them smiling.
"I think that boy fancies you," Mum said teasingly.
I rolled my eyes and asked, "Where do we start?" And my mum then pointed to a wand shop.
We walked into the store and it was rather dark, and a man came from around the counter saying "I've been expecting you, Ms. Potter. I remember when your parents came here and the same with your brother."
My eyes widened at that- no, not because he is creepy but it is the fact he met my parents- "y- you, knew my parents?"
He nodded and responded "Yes, I remember the moment they walked into my shop like it was yesterday. You look much like your mum." I started to think about my parents, who were they and why did they die? He went to one of the many shelves and pulled a long and narrow box out of one of them. "Dragon heartstring, 10 3/4, Dogwood, very stiff but good with charms." He held out the wand for me. I picked it up but he instantly snatched it away from me. "No, no, that won't work," walked away and then picked up another box, "11 1/2, Hazelnut, and unicorn hair," he said holding out another wand. As soon as I picked it up I instantly felt warmth flow through my fingers. "Yes, it's perfect. 7 galleons please." My parents pulled out the money bag and had a confused look on their faces. "Galleons are the gold ones." Mum pulled out 7 galleons and placed them in the man's outstretched hand.
As we walked out were confused about where to get our next items on the list. "Excuse me, but do you know where we can get robes?" I asked a boy with platinum blond hair nearby. He stared at me for a couple of seconds and then realized what was going on and pointed to a store called "Madame Malkin's Robes for All Occasions" I said thank you and walked away with my parents. But I felt his eyes on me as I walked away. "What is with wizard boys?" I muttered to myself.

We were almost done shopping, but I needed to buy my textbooks; I now have a lovely male snowy owl named Ollie. But it should've been rather easy finding them since they're all by a man named Gilderoy Lockhart. We walked into a busy bookshop since there were no other bookshops. It was extremely packed, and then I realized an author was giving out signed copies of his latest book. And then the same boy, with the jet black hair, got pulled up to the front. I squeezed my way through the crowd and reached the front. And then when the famous author, Lockhart, announced the boy's name, leaving me completely flabbergasted.
"Look here! It's Harry Potter" Our eyes met, but then I got pushed to the back by all of the media swarming around.
I looked up at my mum and said, "I think I just met my brother."
Her eyes widened. "Was it the boy at the front?" I nodded. She then whispered into my ear, "Don't tell anyone, let them figure it out." But then I realized the ginger girl from before was listening to the whole conversation.
"Excuse me," I asked, "What did you hear?" She began stuttering but I shushed her. "You cannot tell a single living soul. She slowly nodded her head but I was not convinced. "Please," I begged, "This is important and you can't tell anyone. Not even your mum" I said. She nodded then said,
"Uh... this is kinda weird, but right now he has been staying at my house and I have the biggest crush on him." My eyes widened at that, he was staying at this girl's house? She must have seen the utter confusion on my face for she then said, "His best friend is my brother and my mum invited him over, but then my other brothers had to sorta kidnap him since he was being starved and they refused to let him leave." I swear, that day is the weirdest day of my life.
"Well, now that's cleared up... What's your name?" I asked.
"Ginny Weasley, what about you?" She responded,
"Eliana Potter, but people usually just call me Ellie." I smiled and she smiled back, I think I had just made a new friend. But then my mum called me over saying she had the rest of the books.
Just as I was going to say goodbye to Ginny, Harry walked over carrying a stack of books and he looked at me funny. 'Does he recognize me? How though I've never met him.' I thought to myself. Suddenly the blond boy from earlier appeared with a nasty smirk on his face. "Bet you loved that Potter."
Before Harry could respond Ginny said, "Shut it, you're just jealous because you're a nobody."
I pulled Ginny to the side and asked, "Who is that boy, and why is he so nasty?" She told me his name is Draco Malfoy and he generally just hates Harry. "
I asked him earlier where to get my robes and he seems nice. But he kept staring at me weirdly." "Odd," Ginny responded.
