I re-binged three seasons of the Good Place in the past two days and I don't regret anything.

In my defense, there's only thirteen episodes per season plus it is a pretty good show.

IT'S ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE RIGHT NOW!! And that's saying something because I watch a gazillion TV shows, even with all of the DC Universe ones removed.

It's so unpredictable and hilarious and thought-provoking and everything you would want in a sitcom. The only side effects are the  existential crisises it occasionally induces.

Also, this may sound kind of dumb but it's actually this that caused me to question how I see religion and morality.  I'm so glad that I did.

For some reason, I started sorting the characters into Hogwarts houses in my head. Yeah, I don't know why but it's amusing rn.

SO LET'S GO.

(Also, now I think hey what if I turn this into a tag? I mean sorting your favorite characters into Hogwarts houses does sound fun. They don't even have to be from a TV show, just from anything that's not HP)

1. Eleanor Shellstrop

I didn't even have to think about this one, she's a perfect Slytherin. I mean it takes a lot of ambition, determination and a really strong will to escape eternal damnation and keep trying to make your way into the good place. She's also like the leader of the group, which I think is a very Slytherin trait. I'm pretty sure leadership is supposed to be a Slytherin trait but I'm too lazy to Google it.

2. Chidi Anagonye

This was pretty easy too. He's the voice of reason and conscience of the group. Also, he has this tendency to overthink every small thing which is a pretty Ravenclaw thing to do.
This is also why I think him and Eleanor are so perfect together.

3. Jason Mendoza

So, my initial thought was Hufflepuff because he's such an adorable ray of sunshine and the super nice friend that everyone deserves. But, he possesses way more Gryffindor-y traits. Most of his actions are pretty impulsive and reckless, sometimes for pure fun and others for the sake of protecting his friends.

I mean this guy told the all-knowing judge of the universe to shut up and leave him alone just so he could play a video game and started a fire in hell so him and his friends could escape. He's about as Gryffindor as it gets.

4. Tahani Al-Jamil

I can't see her as anything but Slytherin. I mean she's accomplished so much, her sole motivations being to prove her parents wrong and outshining her sister. She definitely has a lot of ambition, even if mostly for self-gain.

5. Janet

Ravenclaw made a lot of sense at first because you know, she knows everything there is to know about the universe but she's so much more of a Hufflepuff. She does everything in her power to help her friends, is loyal as fuck and always there to save the day.

6. Michael

Just like Eleanor and Tahani,  he fits perfectly into  Slytherin. Resourceful, cunning and determined. (Not gonna say much about him in case I spoil the show for someone reading this, who plans on watching )
