Jongho's pov

The whole time I was helping the hybrids, I felt like something was wrong. I pushed it aside and finished helping them before driving back to our house.

When I stuck my key into the lock, the door pushed open. My eyes widened as I rushed up the stairs to our bedrooms.

"Guys!" I shouted as I opened their rooms. I found San and wooyoung stood over Yeosang, who was wounded once again. I gently pushed past them to see him bleeding from a split in his lip and bruises all over any bare skin that was visible.

"Baby!" I exclaimed and knelt down beside him. He flinched away from me, making me halt all actions. I looked up at San and Wooyoung before remembering Yunho.

"Where's Yunho? Who did this?" I asked. I heard laughter from behind me.

"I did it, Jongho. I couldn't live without my mate, so I broke out of jail. I just knew he had to be with you, and I found him cuddled up to Yeosang," Mingi spat Yeosang's name out like poison.

"Why would you do this, Mingi? Yeosang is my mate! I saved your mate from losing his babies at that stupid shelter! I gave your mate a roof over his head, meals on the table, and clothes to wear!

"Why would you harm my mate after I did nothing wrong to your mate?" I asked as I cried softly. I could feel all the pain Yeosang was in as if it were my own. I stood up from my kneeling position and faced Mingi.

"Oh, you two are mates? Funny," Mingi said then rolled his eyes. I jumped onto Mingi and threw punch after punch at him until he was unconscious on the carpeted floor of my bedroom.

"Where's Yunho?" I asked once I was sure Mingi would be out for a while.

"He- he's in the bathroom," San spoke up, tears in his eyes. My eyes widened as I rushed into the bathroom.

"Yun, are you-" I was shocked by what I saw. He was screaming out in pain as he miscarried. His heart broke as he was losing his baby.

I pulled out my phone and dialed 119.

"Hello? I need the police and an ambulance. Song Mingi broke out of jail and beat his mate and my mate. His mate was pregnant, and now I'm not so sure he'll be able to keep them!" I exclaimed. The worker said help was on the way, so I hung up the phone.

   "Yunho, please hold on! Help is on the way!" I exclaimed as I held his hand. Yunho nodded and screamed again.

   I knew I had to check up on Yeosang again, so I left the bathroom.

   "San, please go be with Yunho. He needs someone to be with him right now," I asked as I knelt by Yeosang again.

   "Baby, where does it hurt?" I asked as I tried to squat down. I eventually got down on my knees beside him.

   "Everywhere..." Yeosang mumbled, fading in and out of consciousness. I heard the sirens and jumped up to open my front door. I waved the police and EMTs inside. They all got to work, collecting Mingi or helping the two harmed hybrids. Before the police could question me, I was already in my car with San and Wooyoung in my back seat, speeding away behind the two ambulances.

"Please be okay," I begged silently as we followed the ambulances to the hospital.

I quickly signed all the paperwork required to allow them to treat Yeosang and Yunho. San, Wooyoung and I sat in the waiting room for a while until Doctor Kim came out.

"Jongho, Yeosang's arm is broke, and a few of his ribs are cracked. He will have to stay here for a few days until he heals up some. As for Yunho, we were able to save his twins," Doctor Kim claimed. I smiled, feeling relieved for Yunho.

"Doctor Kim, can I talk to you for a moment?" I asked as he nodded.

"Yes, what's up?"

"So recently I've been able to feel all of Yeosang's pain as if it were my own. What is happening?" I asked. Doctor Kim smiled softly.

"You two are mates, so after sleeping together you bonded closer. This bond allows you to feel whatever he is going through, and the same for him with you. It's perfectly normal," Doctor Kim said. I smiled softly and nodded, thanking him for telling me.

San and Wooyoung smiled at me before hugging me between them. I smiled and hugged them back.

"What's this for?" I asked teasingly as I knew they didn't hug me much.

"We can tell how much you love Yeosang, so we just wanted to show you we accept it. We will be staying with you permanently, if that's okay with you?" San asked. I smiled softly and nodded.

"Of course that's okay, boys. Even if you two had decided to move out, you'd still be able to come over any time you wanted to," I said. The pair smiled and hugged me again.

"Let's go see them," I said as I stood up from the uncomfortable chair. We walked into their shared hospital room.

"Hey, boys. How are you feeling?" I asked as I entered first.

"We're okay," Yeosang said. I smiled and sat down beside his bed. I held his uninjured hand and kissed the top of it.

"I'm so sorry I let-"

"Babe, you didn't know he would break out of jail. You couldn't have known he'd come after us, so it's not your fault at all." Yeosang smiled and laced our fingers together.

"Yunho, how are you doing?" I asked as I turned around in my chair.

"I'm doing good, and so are my babies," he said as he gently rubbed his stomach. I smiled softly and nodded.

"That's good," I said as I looked at them both. I still held Yeosang's hand as we talked.

   "So, you're having twins?" Yeosang asked softly as he looked over at his friend.

   "I didn't know it either, but yes, I am," Yunho smiled softly as he looked down at his rounded stomach.

   "Yunho, how are you doing?" San asked as he knelt down beside Yunho's bed. Yunho sighed and took San's hand in his.

   "Not so well, truthfully. I never expected Mingi to hit me, much less cause me to almost lose my twins..." Yunho mumbled as tears welled in his eyes.

   "Hey, hey, calm down, Yun. Stress isn't good for growing babies," Wooyoung said as he gently wiped Yunho's tears. Yunho nodded his head and stopped crying.

   "Do you know their genders yet?" Yeosang asked. Yunho nodded.

   "I was supposed to find out tomorrow, but it's twin girls," Yunho said with a wide smile. I smiled widely and reached over for his other hand.

   "I'll help make sure your girls grow up healthy and happy, Yunho." I promised as I gently caressed his hand with my thumb.

   "Thank you, Jongho," Yunho said as he gently rubbed his stomach again. He smiled happily as he looked around the room at all four of us.

   "You guys are my family, and I wouldn't trade you for anything," I said as I also looked around at everyone in the room. Yeosang smiled and reached up to caress my cheek.

   "We wouldn't trade you for anything, either," Yeosang said. I smiled and nodded, silently thanking him.
