I sigh as i lean against the wall and knuckles says," why are they here?" " they helped us in the other world, they wanted a permenant link to our world, only lasted long enough for the duo to arrive." " ah, wrong time, right place." I nod," sans wants them to be on the frontline, i outrightly refused, they have never fought before, chris adapts faster then martin, but are as inseperable as me and nightmare." " no, Frontline's suicide, esspecially for our weak amount of seasoned fighters, can they infiltrate?" " doubtful, the two attract trouble as much as me." He chuckles," can they keep up with you?" " with training i see them being able to, Chris more then Martin, Martin might be best if he had a more suitable power for him" i guesture to knuckles," he can handle strength about as much as speed, but chris is more nimble, i think your quill could help change martin into a better spot, you and nightmare could train him up." " but you said it yourself, they don't leave the others side, so putting them both as Scouts or put them on your small search and rescue team." I nod," funnily enough we're in perfect agreement." He laughs," alright, train them to handle your speed and my strength, and they'll be on search and rescue, as well as maybe even healing with papyrus, you did say they're scientists and they study our kind, learning to heal here would be a cinch." I nod," agreed, i'll go tell them, thanks for the talk Knucks." "Same to you Blue Pineapple." I giggle at the lighthearted insult, as knuckles pulls out a quill, handing it to me, and i walk out, heading to the bunk area.
Once i arrive i see the duo sitting in hammocks." Error made hammocks for you two huh?" They jump in suprise and i laugh as i hold knuckles quill, and they get on thier feet." So i've talked with knuckles, Martin, how would you like to get to learn how to use a echidna's strength?" Martin's eye's widen as his eyes lock with the red quill and chris asks," wait, what are we gonna be doing?" "Search and Rescue and healing with Papyrus, so come on, you two have alot of training to be doing, with both me and Knuckles" i place the quill in martin's hand and i wave for them to follow me, and we head back up to the surface as i pull out a ring and i focus on earth before i throw it and knuckles says to me," why Green Hill?" " safe place that knows mobians exsist. Perfect place to train our human pupils." Knuckles chuckles before walking through the ring and i hold my arm through." Come on, it's not gonna stay open forever." The brothers quickly hop through and i pull my arm in to let the ring close." Alright, both of you transform, Chris into my powers, and martin into Knuckles's powers." They nod and do so, martin's gaining a strange purple hue, chris's gaining an almost lime green color and i chuckle, stretching out my limbs a bit, saying." Knuckles, talk to tom and see if there's anywhere nearby that you two can destroy stuff. Chris and i got room to explore!" I laugh and chris says," this is your hometown?" I nod," welcome to Green Hill, the town i've lived in for 11 years. Come on, just try to keep up, today i'm gonna teach you how to hold up to unimaginable speeds." Chris nods and gets into a sprinter position." Good, just relax and let your body feel the wind, you've got this!" He nods and yells," lets do this!" I nod and i explode into a run, Chris right behind me, and i let my body naturally fall into a rhytmm, hitting speeds of almost 300, and i look back to see chris catching up, easily starting to match my speed and i chuckle," ok, so you can handle my base speed, how much faster can you go?" " aviva capped the suits at just sub of Sound, as she had no clue what it would do to me." Right, he's human, i'm built to take these sustained speeds, he can hang onto it due to the suits likely built in know how." Ok, i have a way of pushing you beyond that limit, but i'm not sure how well the suit will take it." "Right now, you're the fastest around, maybe the suit will naturally use your dna to protect me." " can you use Chaos Energy?" "Never tried" "ok, i'll teach you, slow down and stop." I stop on a dime and so does chris and i smirk, pooling my energy and i say." Focus on the energy in your suit, the energy that builds the speed" i watch chris as he closes his eyes, and he asks," what does it feel like?" " a bright, light feeling, but a swirling shadow as well, as soon as you find that, tell me." I let my chaos energy grow and i feel it spread onto my quills as my eyes turn bright blue and he nods," i have it, but it's barely there." " because you only have a fraction of my power, focus on chaotic thoughts, but don't lose your hold on the energy." He nods, sparks starting to grow and i smile, watching the green lightning spark off the quills as he gains the absorbing quills i have to defend my body, and i laugh," open your eyes! You've done it!" He does so and laughs as the Chaos energy grows between us and i say," now lets start running, i'll teach you how to fire that energy into a boost, lets build to your limit before that though!" He nods and we launch off again, a forest green and royal blue blurs running together as chris laughs, after a minute we both feel the wave of air form." Ok, now channel the energy, push it through the suit behind you and enjoy the ride!" I do it first, breaking through sound in a sonic boom, and i swirl around chris as he runs, and i see him almost get there, when the sound barrier explodes a second time and chris struggles to keep up, i run over to him and i grab his arm, leaping up into the air, boosting again, and i guide him through the terrain like it's second nature and i stop us on my favorite cliff. Chris huffs and puffs as the transformation ends, too taxed out from the boost and once his breath recovers he bursts into utter laughter and i laugh with him, sitting down with him as he asks." How do you control that?! One minute i could see, the next it was all a blur, my head hurts." " understood, and truthfully it's taken a bit to understand how the boost works. Once i got used to it i've been adapted since. It'll take you a bit longer then me to understand your enviroment, but once you blast past sound, just focus on whats coming ahead, and dodge as needed, but man you adapted so fast! I didn't even expect you to find the fraction of Chaos energy from my quill in the suit. So well done." He nods, obviously exhausted." It wasn't in the suit, the energy i had interfaced with the power of the suit and i boosted." I laugh," i guess i was wrong, Humans do have the possibility of Chaos Powers, if they have a way to Link with the chaos." I lay back and i say," just relax and get your breath back, i'll drag you back and get you some food and water to help your body out. Your likely too tired to change for a bit." He nods, passing out right there and i laugh, running off and i zip into speeds too fast for the human eye to see. I pay for a small pack of water and some muffins before running back to chris. I set them down and i call knuckles and he says," whats up?" "My trainee fell asleep, i may have pushed too far on the first session." He laughs," ok, watch over him, i'm not having alot of luck with martin, sure he shows potential, and uses my strength with ease, but he probably wouldn't be able to hold out a battle." "Remember, they're training to save lives, not end robots." He chuckles," right, i'll keep that in mind, over and out." He hangs up and i laugh, laying back, listening to chris's relaxed breathing. I set a timer in my comms to wake me in a hour, and i let myself slip into a light sleep.
