Lash's pov
I keep running, my shoes tapping the hard ground with impressive speed, Chris and martin at my sides. As much as i hated that i needed thier help, they were much more ready then when they came. They would survive this battle.
Infinite comes bursting out in a flare of scarlet and magenta. I come to a slow blur, and soon stops with Chris and Martin.
"Ok, how exactly are we gonna double the illusions?" Martin yells out.
"Chris and i will move on my command, going fast enough to create Speed clones, i've never tried this trick, but i've read enough Flash comics to know how it works. Just trust me!"
"Then what do i do?"
"You gotta burrow, and wait till he gets in close, you're our heavy hitter. I know you hate that idea, but right now, it's our only play."
Martin sighs, but digs into the earth using echidna spikes.
I then nod to chris, and we both burst off, and i focus, pushing the lightning in my veins to a breaking point.
All that i see is a blur, time has slowed down so far i can barely move, but it seemed to be working. I look around, and i see multipule forms of me running, just like the day on the baseball field. I glare into a focus, and let time speed up as i keep running. Infinite began firing his illusion cubes, but missing the real us. I smirk, and soon, Martin bursts from the ground, landing a heavy punch on Infinite.
Infinite gasps, firing a cube that ricochets and hits Martin, who screams in pain, and the suit deactivates. Without hesitating i zip over to Martin, grabbing him and zipping behind some foliage.
"Catch your breath, join us when you can." Martin's vision clears as he nods. I zip back into the fight, pouring on the speed and i punch Infinite aside.
"Hows Martin? You've mentioned that his powers pack a punch."
"He'll be fine, hopefully, but Martin's vision was starting to clear when i left him, he'll be back in the fight soon."
Chris sighs as Infinite stands, the mask cracked. Infinite growls lowly.
"I am not, WEAK! You will all Bow before me!"
His rage tainted the air, turning the area around the clearing scarlet, magenta flares flickering around the barrier as energy reeked in the air.
Chris summons the claws, Chaos energy crackling along his metallic quills. I call upon my own, the twin energies of blue and green flickered around us, filling with strength, and i form two spears of lightning.
With that simple motion, a deadly dance began.
Infinite and i clashed, red on blue, old memories of Knuckles flickering into my mind. I shove them aside, dodging a fake Knuckles punch.
My memories give Infinite strength.
Skyknight forms out of the ruby energy, dissapearing before randomly appearing by chris, he ducked her shot, and i shoot a spear, ending the illusion of my sister in all but blood.
"Infinite! Give it up, no more games, no more Copycats! Just you! Stop using fakes and show me something Real!" Infinite snarls, i've touched a nerve. I launch on him, but a whole new attack comes, a sphere of magenta energy opens, forming a portal. I try to stop myself, but it's too late as i crash into the portal.
I come through, gasping, panting for breath. Every part of my body was aching with pain. I take a deep breath, and force myself to stand.
Around me is a simple black abyss, but it wasn't cold like the last time i landed through a random portal.
I start running, the tap of my shoes being the only noise in the abyss.
Maybe i should crank it up to full? I mean usually when speedsters go beyond a certain point they start breaking time and space.
Ok, so thats what i need to do to break out.
I kneel down, channeling my chaos energy to burst out over my quills, my iris's turning blue. A sonic boom rocks the abyss as i start off, zipping well beyond sound.
Focus! Channel it all, push to your limit!
"For everyone!" I pour all i have into my running, running at speeds i've never reached before, color blurring my vision as black enters my blue blur, and i shatter back home, slamming into infinite at nearly lightspeeds.
I wasn't prepared for the backlash. The cusion of air causing the connection of gem and mobian to split in two, the gem cracking as it impacts the ground. I stop, my eyes glowing crimson, and i spin dash Infinite again, slamming him into the turf.
"Didn't expect me back?"
Infinite growls, his mask having snapped in two from my brutal attacks.
"How?"
"You underestimated my raw speed, i'm called Whiplash for a reason!"
A spear forms on my arm, and i reshape it, to pure cuffs of energy. Putting them on infinite, they become solid. Exhaust washed over me like a tsunami.
All i heard was Chris's cry of my name before i collapse and pass out completely.

Chris's pov
I zip to Lash's side, and i check her pulse, still there, but thready, and fast at least.
"Looks like she really wore herself out. She's had a long day. You get Infinite, i get Lash?"
"On that we agree, she needs an emerald to help her regain energy. Otherwise if her heartrate slows down, she could die."
I nod and i scoop up Lash, and i bolt as fast as i could. Reaching the medic station in moments i stop and lay her down.
"She's exhausted from what i can tell, but Infinite's down."
Rouge, who had pulled out right before the mission started, calls Error.
"Error, Infinite's down, i repeat, Infinite's Down!"
Error sighs in relief over the mic.
"Glad to hear it, we've almost got eggman secured, our world will be free soon."
I smile, relaxing as a medic gives Lash an extra emerald Sans found on his way over here. She'll be ok now.
I sit down and i turn off the Mobian transformation.
The war was soon over, Infinite and Eggman dragged into custody, the Phantom Ruby was secured, and Lash got to make sure we both got home once she recovered.
Error and her united the 7 emeralds and sent us home, but we now had a comm link to thier world, so if they needed us, we were but a call away.
