As the sun starts to disappear below the horizon,
with a splash of colors,
and as the ocean kisses the shores with an unrelenting hunger,
I was pulled under,
by the chain linked to the cuffs of my wrists,
and ankles,
into the deep dark blue Ocean,
that is your eyes.

I tried to come up for a breath,
but your hold on me,
was as strong as the love,
I once felt for you.

Then I ask myself,
was it really worth it to lose myself for you?
