Luna POV:

We all watch as Future Lucy looks very distressed, tears fill her eyes as she tries to figure out how she can help us.

"I'm so sorry! Now I'm not even sure why I came to the past at all, ever since I came here I've been trying to figure out how to help and what I could do to help you..." She says wiping some tears from her eyes.

"We'll figure something out Lucy." I say smiling softly at her.

"Luna's right." Natsu says taking Lucy's hand in his. "Thank you, for giving us a future.. I know we'll be able to change things and it's all thanks to you Lucy!"

With a smile from all of us the Future Lucy gains courage, rising to her feet she glances around trying to get her bearings. 

"I think I know where we are, follow me this way!" She cries and begins to run down a small corridor.

We begin to run down many different corridors, it's getting a little bumpy being on Natsu's back but I'm a little nervous about walking on my legs. My magic energy slowly feels like it's coming back so I try summoning my wings, they appear on my back and they don't look too bad.

"Hey Natsu wait a second" I say to him.

"What's wrong Luna?" He asks me pausing.

"I think I can get around by my self now." I say giving the wings a flap.

I flap them a little more until I begin to move from Natsu's back, he lets go of my legs slowly until I'm hovering in the air. I give my legs a stretch, wincing at the pain in them but once they are straight I'm good.

"Right, let's catch up with the others." I say smiling, he smiles back at me and we then run or in my case fly after the others. "You really know these hallways Lucy." I say flying next to Future Lucy.

"It's the least I can do, I want to avoid you all getting caught by the royal guard again." Future Lucy says to me. "By the way Luna, did you think about what I asked?"

I look at her and then look away, if I'm honest I have. I've tried to bring it up with Natsu or my siblings but they always dismiss it. I want to speak about it, because at the end of the day I will be the one who's going to transform. And I also think that if it's the only way that I can protect those I love I'll do it in a heart beat.

"I have thought about it, but I'm still a little unsure." I say playing with a strand of my hair. "It's a big choice to make, but I know in the end I'll make the right one."

Future Lucy smiles at me, as we keep running through different hallways Mirajane tells me that we'll need to set off the signal soon to let everyone know that we've rescued Lucy and Yukino. But as we turn a corner we see guards running towards us.

"The royal forces?!" Future Lucy exclaims. "They shouldn't have been stationed here..."

"Don't worry about it, as long as we've got magic we ain't getting captured!" Natsu cries smashing his fists together.

"Exactly." Loke agrees.

"Um everyone...Arcadios isn't here!" Wendy cries shaking slightly. "Yukino isn't here either!"

Taking a quick glance around I notice she's right, where could they have gone?!

"Why'd they go off without a word?" Our Lucy questions.

The guards then begin to charge towards us, I brace my self for their attacks and then notice Mirajane run back the way we came.

"I don't know where that Knight Captain went, but I'm worried about Yukino!" She says as she runs. "I'm going back for her!"

"Mira!" I call after her.

"We can't get separated!" Lucy calls.

"Take care you guy's.." She says, she pauses and then turns to face me. "I'll come back once I know she's ok Luna." And with that she vanishes.

We then turn to face the guards, they look a little nervous but still ready to fight if they need to. Natsu and Loke then begin to fight their way through the guards, creating a path for us to go through, and me being me can't let the boys have all the fun. So I take out some members as I fly through, making sure that the others can get through without too much hassle. I glance at Carla as she follows with the other exceeds and I can tell she's so nervous about something, and Twilight has the same look on her face. We continue to fight our way through the guards making sure they they aren't able to follow us or able to tell their commander what they've seen. I then notice someone fire some type of explosive spell at Natsu, knowing he'll be fine I turn my attention to the guards surrounding Wendy and Lucy.

"Apocalypse Dragon Wing Attack!" I cry sending my blue flames at them, they go flying back and then look at me terrified.

"You really want to take on a PRO with THAT type of magic?" Natsu says glancing at the magic forces that her turned up.

We begin attacking with everything we've got and then the team from when we were stuck in the dungeon are back, sighing I smirk slightly. I didn't get to fight last time because of the stupid lava, so this time we have three dragon slayers ready to fight. And they aren't attacking us alone, they are attacking head on.

"Well looks like I do get to have some fun after all!" I say flying over to Natsu.

"Why are these guy's so stubborn?! We beat them all once, why don't you just give up?" He asks them linking his hands with mine, our flames mix together as our hands join.

Just as me and Natsu are about to attack a shadow comes zooming through the room, it begins to suck everyone into it. Pulling them all down, until not a single person is left.

"They all vanished?" I say feeling a dark energy where the guards once were. "This isn't right."

"Someone's there, be careful Luna." Loke says to me as I carefully fly over to where the guards once were.

As I get closer a figure soon begins to appear and form it's self from the black shadow, backing up so I don't get caught in the same smoke I focus my eyes on who the person is.

"Who are you?!" Natsu yells.

"Which way do shadows stretch? Into the past? Or into the future?" The figure says as it becomes solid. "Or into people's hearts?"

Natsu's eyes widen as he recognises the figure.

"It's nice to see you after so long Natsu Dragneel." The person says. "I have come back from a time that is yer to be. I am Rogue."

My eyes widen as I look at Rogue, he looks so different to the one we fought in the arena. Why isn't he the same like with the two Lucy's? Yeah their clothes are different but apart from that they could be twins, something isn't right here...

"Rogue? From Sabertooth?" I ask.

"You're saying you come from the future?" Lucy asks.

"Someone other than me?" Future Lucy asks confused, wait didn't she know someone came back with her?

"You swept away the Royal forces to save us?" Loke asks.

"you're different, how?" I ask getting as far away from Rogue as I can. 

"Why are you here from the future?" Twilight asks. 

"I came to open the door." He says with a small smile gracing his lips, although it looks more like a smirk than a smile.

"You're talking about Eclipse?" Lucy questions.

"Eclipse can be used in two different ways. The first is to move through time, and the second is a weapon. The Eclipse Cannon. It's the one and only way to defeat ten thousand dragons." Rogue explains.

"Well that makes things easier! We're on the same side right?" Nastu says smiling.

"We can defeat the dragons!" Happy cries cheerfully.

"You've come to save the future right?" Wendy asks happily.

"No." Rogue says. "It's not as simple as that, I came from seven years in the future. In seven years the dragons will rule the world, not even ten percent of the human population survive. And because of this Eclipse doesn't have the same amount of power that it has in this time, we must stop the dragons here and now. Or our world will end."

Something about his story doesn't seem right to me, I can't explain what it is but the tattoo on my back feels like it's warning me about something. It's only done this a hand full of times since I've had it, it happened when dad attacked Tenrou Island and a couple of times before that. Dad always said this mark would protect me, and he was right.

"So we open the door and blow them away, right?" Natsu asks. "That's simple enough!"

"However, seven years ago...in other words now. There was one who stood in the way of the door opening." Rogue says, his face grave. "That person kept the door from opening, and the Eclipse Cannon never fired at the ten thousand dragons. That person set the world on a path of destruction. I have come here to assassinate that person, that is why I am here."

"But that's awful! Why can't you just talk to this person? Explain to them what will happen if they close the eclipse gate!" I say angrily. "There is no reason to kill anyone!"

"With a great amount of time converging on one point, there is no words that can alter it. Even if we persuade the person not to open the gate, they would still attempt to close the doors. It's fixed." Rogue says.

"Fixed?" Lucy questions.

"One cannot run from destiny. Those meant to live will live, those meant to die will die." Rogue says his grim expression never leaving his face. "Those meant to close the door will close the door, no matter what. As long as that person is alive to do do it."

"This isn't making any sense, who is the person you're talking about?" Natsu asks.

Thats when Rogue's expression changed.

"YOU!" He cries, then while creating a blade made from smoke he points at his target.

"LUCY HEARTFILIA!!!"
